Stayed here with my family, we spent a restful week at this lovely haven in the trees and would absolutely stay again. Aside from the beautiful home and stunning surroundings, we were delighted by the recommendations provided and enjoyed the tennis courts and hiking trails nearby! Thank you again :)

Loved this house and the property! It was clean and welcoming upon our arrival and had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with supplies so we could cook all of our meals! The outside deck accommodated dinners and game nights comfortably. The hot tub was an added bonus! The neighborhood was friendly and tranquil. Close to downtown Guerneville for visiting.

I hesitate to write this review. We love VRBO and have used them for both domestic and international properties. But the management company for this property was not helpful. The house had many instructions (including cleaning) and we tried to follow these such as the garbage expectations, etc. While we were told to contact the management company it took the them two days to answer our questions and this was after we called them again. The house was nice and well located but the TV box is outdated, they did not provide enough garbage bags, and supplies such as no coffee (we left some with filters for the next occupant). We enjoyed our stay but will never rent from a third party management company again. We will make sure the listing is managed by VRBO.

This was our first time visiting Guerneville. The town is nice and quaint— cute shops and local restaurants to eat, and only a short drive to the coast with lots of hikes and beaches that were dog friendly. The house itself is gorgeously tucked against the redwood forest. It is a nice modern home with all the amenities you would want. We absolutely loved the deck and hot tub. Property management was quick to respond as our reservation was booked only the day before.

The property was exactly as described, nestled into the redwoods with a private hot tubs and more than enough space for our small family. It was a short drive (or walk) to town and in between town and the armstrong woods. The property manager provided quick reply when we had questions and checkin/checkout was clearly communicated. We visited Armstrong Woods, the community center/Russian river near monte rio, and drove out to Goat Rock Beach.

This is a nice, newer home in a beautiful redwood setting. It was very clean and well furnished. The gas fireplace was a nice touch. The outdoor spa was also welcome.The common rooms are rather small and the steep and narrow drop in the driveway may be a challange to certain drivers, particularly if they have a larger vehicle and/or the neighbors on either side park their cars too close (as they did during our stay).We also called the property management company after checking in with a question/issue and spoke to Amanda. We never received a call back as promised. Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning.

The location of this home was amazing, nestled against the redwoods, yet close to the main town of Guerneville. Hosts were responsive when questions arose about the property. Home also had plenty of space for everyone in our party to enjoy being together or to find a quiet space when needed. Kitchen was well appointed and accommodated our cooking needs well. Overall, our group had a wonderful time spending our holiday in the midst of the woods, with easy access to multiple wineries. Very happy to have found this spot!

There was nothing about this property that we didn’t like! The location is lovely, only a few blocks from the center of Guerneville and a good place to stroll with the dog. It was so quiet at night! During the day too. The redwoods behind the property added to the peace, and the landscaping and views from all the windows were so pretty. Good daylight inside the house, not gloomy like some places with tall trees. Room to spread out both inside and out; it was a treat just to sit and do nothing on the patio. The house was clean and had everything we needed. Our dog, who is very timid about noises he cannot identify, was completely relaxed, and that’s a good endorsement! I did find one bed too soft for my back but my husband was fine with it and I found another bed that suited me so got some great sleep. Didn’t want to leave, already scouring the calendar for when we can return! Highly recommended.

We were so excited to stay at Lazy Bear Lodge after seeing the photos, and the house in person was exactly what we expected! First, the basics: the house was spotless, well-supplied, comfortable and in excellent condition. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs in the front garden and relaxing in the hot tub on the back deck. The views from every room of the house were lovely, all evergreens and sky. The management company was exceptional -- incredibly responsive to all questions and needs.

This was such a lovely home surrounded in California pacific redwood beauty. The home was warm and comfy providing all the creature comforts. Sitting in the hot tub soaking up the amazing vibe of the redwoods. Grilled an amazing dinner or two w/some lovely local wine. Sleeping to the sound of that glorious rain. Great location ti visit small coastal towns and see the one and only Pacific Ocean in all its splendor and glory. The heady combo of it all made it hard to trek back home.

You get a good idea of the property from the pictures. It has three plus bedrooms and three baths. There is a kitchen/dining area as well as tv/fireplace living room. Great outdoor space next to redwoods.
It was clean, checkin was easy. I'd stay here again.
Special thanks to the management company for going above and beyond. Some companies manage properties better than others, this one does it very well.
Also, booked the property on VRBO because the price was lower. Be sure to compare when looking.

This property had everything that it promised. The place was sparkling clean and it was absolutely breathtakingly beautiful. The hot tub is super clean and cozy after a busy day. My friends and I had a wonderful time and we would absolutely love to come back. We go on a retreat every year and this was hands-down the best place that we have ever found. This house is really clean and up to date. Very roomy yet offers a cozy stay with a gorgeous backdrop of the redwoods out back. Our group spent a majority of the time taking advantage of the newly updated deck.

Holiday Get Away
Good size for an extended stay. A perfect place to rest and rejuvenate, away from city noise. There’s a Safeway and many local restaurants nearby so you can feel secluded but close to necessities. We had a wonderful stay with a toddler and two dogs. Dog owners please note that the back patio area is not completely fenced in. We brought long leashes so our pups could safely hang out with us outside.
