About this house rental
Welcome to Cozy Bear Cabin! This beautiful 3-story log cabin is located on the outskirts of Boone in the beautiful private community of River Ridge. It has spectacular views to be enjoyed throughout all seasons! Just a short (.4 mile) walk away, guests can view the New River. There are also several local tubing outfitters nearby. New River is believed to be one of the oldest rivers in the world. It's placid, slow-flowing waters wind through bucolic farmlands, past grassy meadows and rugged hillsides. Its banks are covered with wildflowers in season, and good trout and bass fishing can be had right from the bank!
Access to this home is easy as all of the roads are paved. The driveway is also paved and has enough parking for five vehicles. Enter into the main level via two small steps. Once inside, be greeted with an open floor plan between the kitchen, dining room and living room.
The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen is fully stocked and the homeowner has taken extra measures to ensure guests have everything they need to cook meals including a drip coffee maker, coffee grinder, small electric vegetable chopper, blender, and pancake griddle. There is also a five burner gas range! The dining room table seats eight and the island seats four with barstools. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided
The living room, with tongue and groove vaulted ceiling, features a stone fireplace with gas logs. There's a large bay window to enjoy the beautiful views in all seasons! A large screen Roku TV with a Bose sound bar and DVD player. You can sign into your accounts and enjoy Netflix, Peacock, Disney+, Apple TV, etc. High-speed internet is provided.
Down the hall is the first bedroom that offers a queen size bed and an adorable electric heater that resembles an old fashioned wood stove. You'll awake to the beautiful views from the bay window. Across the hall is a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and double vanities with granite countertops.
Head upstairs to find the spacious master suite with tongue and grove vaulted ceilings with beams. Again with amazing views! The master offers a king size bed with large screen Roku TV. Also, a full bathroom with a shower/tub combo and double vanities with granite countertops.
Also, upstairs is a cozy loft overlooking the living room with tongue and grove vaulted ceilings with beams. It has a futon and two comfortable chairs perfect for reading, relaxing or the occasional time you need to work.
Downstairs offers a bunk room with four queen-over-queen bunk beds and will comfortably sleep eight! Also, downstairs is the game room which includes a full size pool table, air hockey table and lots of board games and DVD's. This is a great spot for watching sports or making the best of a rainy day with the large screen Roku TV. Both kids and adults can enjoy this space as there is plenty of room to spread out! There is also a full bathroom on this level with a shower/tub combo. There is access to the outside stone patio where you can enjoy the swing and relax while soaking in the fresh mountain air.
The large private deck will absolutely be your favorite hangout spot on those warm summer days. When the sunsets, enjoy a beverage by the gas fire table and take in the beautiful unobstructed views off in the distance…not a house in sight except for one far far off in the distance! Enjoy tranquil mornings listening to the birds chirp or the visits from the deer while getting refueled for the days fun activities! Located just 7-miles to Boone and 15-miles to Blowing Rock, this property is the perfect home base for your next visit to the High Country!
You can access the New River by car at the Green Valley Community Park or Todd Island Park just a short drive from the cabin. The New River is perfect for tubing, kayaking, fishing, etc. There are several outfitters nearby that host tubing and kayaking trips and guided fishing trips. This is a special treat in the spring, summer and fall!

We loved our stay at this cabin. The location was wonderful since we wanted something convenient to Boone. It was extremely quiet, relaxing and had a nice view from the back deck. The cabin was extremely clean and had everything we needed during our stay. The cabin is in a beautiful small gated community.

We had a great time in Boone/blowing rock! This house was in the perfect location. The kids loved the air hockey and bunks, plenty of space for us all to spread out. Beautiful views while drinking coffee on the balcony!

The Cozy Bear Cabin met and exceeded our expectations for a mountain getaway with our family of 6 plus my parents. It was great being a bit out of town with a beautiful view and peaceful mountain sounds. The basement bunk room and game room was perfect for keeping the kids happy! They loved the air hockey, board games, and kids DVDs. Just use caution with toddlers on the stairs since they are pretty steep. The house was impeccably clean and all-around comfortable and cozy, true to its name. Plenty of cookware, dishes, etc to make meals. It was a relatively quick drive into Boone, Blowing Rock, parts of the Blue Ridge Parkway, etc. and we enjoyed exploring but also resting up at the cabin. We would stay again in a heartbeat!

This house was well appointed and clean. The views were spectacular. The decor and interior design were so appropriate to give you the cozy cabin feel. There was more than enough room for my family of 5. We will definitely be back for another stay.
When we arrived we had issues with the key lockpad however; the property manager responded very quickly and resolved the issue immediately. The customer service was top notch!.

It had everything we needed, and plenty of room for everyone. The house was spotless, and easy to find. We would definitely stay again.
