The Space:
This home offers a satisfying balance of rustic Rocky Mountain character and clean, contemporary comfort. Immediately, you’ll notice the roomy deck just outside the front door with a latticework privacy enclosure. This space offers built-in benches running along two sides and an outdoor dining table with chair and bench seating, just a few feet from the propane grill. Who doesn’t love eating outdoors in fine weather? Feel free to park in the driveway or the garage.
There is a ping-pong table setup and cornhole game stored in the garage as well!
As you step toward the front door, you’ll also notice the homey covered porch with four country rocking chairs and two small tables, perfect for getting some fresh air, even in a light rain.
Step inside. This contemporary, welcoming space sets a tone you’ll find echoed throughout the rest of the home: modern, with warm rustic touches that speak of the region’s rugged character; cheerful, serene, casually elegant.
This L-shaped space combines a living room and dining area. The living room benefits from two large windows on opposite facing walls, flooding the space with uplifting daylight. A ornamental fireplace with electric logs for ambiance and additional heating serves as the centerpiece between two comfy conversation chairs and a plump sofa with built-in chaise, opposite a wall-mounted TV. Around the bend, a casual dining table tucked into a sunny nook with a picture window provides seating for at least 8, with 4 chairs and a corner bench. Who knows what woodland creatures might drift by, providing entertainment over breakfast?
Just off of the dining area, you’ll find a lovely kitchen with full-size stainless-steel kitchen appliances, including a range with oven/cooktop, refrigerator/freezer with in-door ice and water dispensers, a microwave and dishwasher. You’ll find everything you need to make yourself at home, including a coffee maker, chef’s knives, a tea kettle and cooking utensils. While you’re here, this is YOUR kitchen. Enjoy it!
This main level of the home includes two bedrooms (one king and one queen bed) and a full bath. The bath is beautifully finished with a modern-rustic sink vanity and a combination tub/shower behind gleaming glass doors.
Both bedrooms on this level have walk-in closets, ceiling fans, and their own TVs. After a busy day, grab your cup of tea, retreat to your room, close the door, and sink back on your fresh, plump pillows to lose yourself in your favorite show. There’s space here for togetherness and that much-needed moment to yourself.
Just off of the kitchen, a door leads to a lower level, providing more living space for large groups to spread out. An amazing game room/living area will be irresistible to kids of all ages. Indulge in a game of air hockey, try out the shuffleboard table, or have a nostalgic experience playing arcade-style Mortal Kombat. There’s also a cozy sofa with a built-in chaise in front of a TV, adorned with throw pillows and a cuddly blanket. A counter-height table with two stools is perfect for snacking.
Here, you’ll also find a full-size washer and dryer, which might be just as exciting to you as the games!
This level includes two additional bedrooms and a second full bath. The bath is cleanly decorated in modern white with a combination tub/shower and sink vanity with storage below.

A café table and two chairs out back provide a pleasant spot for sharing a sandwich with your bestie. A dedicated corner is given over to a propane fire pit encircled by 8 retro chairs – an ideal place for cocktails, cocoa, and conversation at sundown.

The Neighborhood:
Cascade is a real, honest-to-goodness mountain town cutting through the undulating foothills of the Rockies. As you look around, you’ll be sharing the same view enjoyed by tourists who came here 140 years ago to begin their trek to the summit of Pikes Peak, 14,000 feet above sea level. Today, you can take the easy route along the Pikes Peak Highway, with Cascade as its starting point.
Cascade offers a small variety of casual dining options, and you’ll find significantly more to choose from 10 minutes down the road in Woodland Park, along with supermarkets and plenty of retail shopping for anything you’ll need.
The region draws outdoors enthusiasts from around the world for fresh-air activities like hunting, fishing, skiing, snowshoeing, hiking, ziplining, rafting, and more. In Cascade, you’ll find yourself quite literally surrounded by parks and trails, including Cascade Community Park where the Heizer trail leads to photo-worthy nearby waterfalls.
Some of the area’s other popular outdoor destinations include:
The Manitou Springs Incline, a much-loved hiking trail with some steep spots, over 2,700 steps from the bottom to the summit offering breathtaking views (16 minutes)
Rainbow Falls, a picturesque waterfall with a concrete walkway that snakes along Fountain Creek (8 minutes)
Cave of the Winds, a complex of caves where tours are offered (12 minutes)
Red Rock Canyon Open Space: hiking trails, bike park (19 minutes)
Garden of the Gods Visitor & Nature Center: ancient rock formations tower 300 feet overhead (18 minutes)
Bear Creek Regional Park East: hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, playground (18 minutes)
Santa Fe Regional Trail: hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing; picturesque Palmer Lake (28 minutes)
If you’re a fan of the arts, you’ll appreciate the galleries of Manitou Springs, a charming little town just 13 minutes away, and Colorado Springs, home to the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, the Pikes Peak Center for the Performing Arts, and the art galleries of Downtown and the Old Colorado City historic district. Colorado Springs also offers an array of fascinating museums, including the US Olympic and Paralympic Museum and the Colorado Springs Pioneers Museum, and it’s just 25 minutes away.
We’ve only just touched the surface of what you can do and see in under 30 minutes on the road from your home base. There’s something for everyone. Do a little digging – you’re sure to find gold.

The basement game area was great. We all watched the Olympics on the TV and played games for hours. The rest of the place was very nice also. The front porch was nice to sit on in the morning and evening.

We planned a family vacation for my parents, siblings, and our spouses/kid. My nephew is 1.5 and was never without something to do. He loved the air hockey table, ping pong, and corn hole. We loved sitting and relaxing on the front porch. It was such a beautiful view and amazing atmosphere. Would stay again and would highly recommend! Check in was super easy and communication from the host was very appreciated and helpful.

Perfect little mountain get away. We had a girls reunion trip which we felt this place was perfect plenty of beds the hot tub was amazing - the game area was so fun. Was just enough seclusion but close enough to get to shops and activities. We truly had a great stay

This was an amazing place to stay. We will defiantly book here again. So clean and cozy with so much to do. We all enjoyed the game room. The beds were really comfortable. Great location..so close to everything. Thank you so much for making our stay amazing.

It is a nice location, comfortable, and is upgraded nicely. Very responsive hosts.
A couple fixes needed as the microwave was broken and the vents in two of the rooms were rattling very loudly when the heat was on. They sent someone promptly but were unfortunately unable to fix either until after our stay.
The only thing I would caution is the first step going to the basement is half normal width. Two of the people staying fell down the stairs when there foot slipped off this step.

Great space for 4 adults and 2 children. 10 minute drive to colorado springs and even shorter to woodland park. Loved the shuffleboard table and hot tub

Located in a beautiful valley surrounded by tree covered mountains. Lovely, easily walkable, quiet residential area. Beautifully renovated home- modern updates, lots of unique touches & textures in the decor. Great kitchen with a large farmhouse sink, nice granite counters, amazing gas stove & cooktop. Essentials stocked in the pantry- seasonings, coffee & teas, cookware, utensils & cutlery. Dishwasher was not functioning, however.
The home was very clean, well insulated, & cozy. Bedrooms had hotel quality sheets, layered above and below a comforter on each bed. Abundant amount of pillows, comfortable mattresses. Updated bath fixtures in all bathrooms, beautiful light fixtures throughout the home. Remote-controlled fire place/heater in living room. Large Roku TV’s in every bedroom as well as in the game room and living room. Plenty of towels and extra linens.
Nice stainless steel washer & dryer in the game room. Layout was great- 2 bedrooms upstairs & 2 on lower lever near the game room, each with clean, new carpeting and ample closet space. The game room/family space had great entertainment (for a single couple or a family- our 10, 16, & 23 yr olds all loved it.) A great variety of games for when we wanted to stay in. Backyard was inviting- white lights strung up over the space, a hot tub, and back seating area around the fire pit, all in a private, sunken area.
We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else if we’re able to return to Colorado- we really loved this place.

We had 4 adults and 2 kids on our visit. The house was laid out great and had a lot of fun activities for everyone to do! Quiet location but close to Manitou Springs. Clean home, owners were very quick to communicate, and super cute decorations. Would highly recommend!

Our recent stay at this magnificent cabin was nothing short of extraordinary, and I cannot say enough about how incredible our experience was. From the very moment we stepped foot onto the property, we were greeted by awe-inspiring vistas and an overwhelming sense of tranquility that was genuinely unparalleled. This getaway was, without a doubt, a truly remarkable and unforgettable journey.
We had everything we needed and the kids just raved about the basement game room! We did not have a dull moment!

We had a great time here. All of the amenities make it a great stay, especially with kids.

This house was perfect for our family! The shuffle board, ping pong table, air hockey table & video game console kept my kids happy when we weren’t doing outside activities. Hot tub was an added plus. Plenty of dishes, glasses & pots. We have a very tall family, so I’d say to keep the shorter kids confined to the downstairs bathroom (lower ceiling height). Seriously… we loved the place & would highly recommend it! Oh!… and a great trail behind the house (15 min walk to Ring the Peak Trail). It’s a workout!

We had a great time and the place was awesome and very thoughtful in activities for a family. The only issue we had is that the place did not have any air conditioning and it got hot during the day. Even with that, I would stay there again.

House was super clean, beautiful view from front deck. Location perfect from shopping and favorite tourist sites. The family enjoyed game nights with the various games both in game room and card games upstairs. Didn’t have time to enjoy garage games. Definitely great place for a family to stay and enjoy all that Cascade/Colorado Springs had to offer.

This is a hidden gem. The recommendations for Wines Of Colorado another hidden gem. Loved Our Stay!

This was a gorgeous location and very clean and private. The hot tub was loaded up with so much chlorine that my shirt was bleached and my skin was burned.
Other than that it was very pleasant.
