Cosy, welcoming, homely and relaxing with a wonderful outside space. So close to the sea and an easy walk into Dymchurch.

Such a lovely break, the cottage was very sweet and in a great location for the beach. Would definitely love to come back.

We've stayed at The Nest before, and on our return we were just as delighted with the cottage as the first time. Everything from the sound of the sea, the birds, the lovely level walk into the village and the location, which makes you feel as though you are in the middle of the country, with the sea on your doorstep, but where you can reach the shops quickly and easily. I had to bring a little work with me, so the wi-fi was particularly useful this time. If I were lucky enough to own my own holiday home, The Nest would be my choice. Small but plenty big enough. A big garden for our pooch to enjoy. The sea just over the bank. The ability to escape but still be close enough to get anything we need. Perfect!
Other lovely things close by - freshly prepared doughnuts (to sustain you at the end of your walk into the village), small fairground, fresh seafood in St Marys Bay, The Ship Inn just a 10 min walk away (dog friendly in bar, deck and garden).
We are very keen to return. Thank you to our host.

Could not beat the location, comfort of the property and its spacious garden
Kitchen had all the utensils you’d need for cooking each night
The walk from back door to beach front took 1minute!
Our toddler loved exploring the garden and we loved sitting at the window seat, watching the world go by
Is the best place we’ve stayed on the Kent coast, and wish we could visit each year

There is nothing we could fault with this beautiful cottage. Style, position, location, all great. So close to the beach that you can hear the sea. On the map it looks close to the main road but it's nicely tucked away so that traffic can't be heard. It's a very cozy cottage with lots of atmosphere. The dog loved it because of the large fully enclosed garden. It has everything there you're likely to need. Just a short walk along a flat promenade from the village, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. We treated ourselves to a huge seafood platter from The Boathouse Fisheries in St Mary's Bay, less than 3 miles away. Ready within an hour and simply a divine feast! It's ideal for a small family holiday or a romantic getaway - comfort from the moment we entered. If you're unsteady on your feet the steps at the back of the garden to the sea wall could be a struggle, as could the internal stairs BUT the owner has thought of everything and on both of these sets of steps there's two hand rails and the internal stairs are well lit (with one bedroom on the ground floor you may not even need that). I only wish short stays were available as we'd be there more often. WE WILL RETURN - thank you for sharing this lovely cottage with those of us who stay there.

A quaint property by the sea wall, which was perfectly situated for our stay in Kent. We wanted for nothing during our stay in this property; the hosts have thought of everything. It was cosy and very comfortable with a great garden to relax in and enjoy the sea air. The upstairs bedrooms are perfect for children and young adults. If you’re staying in this part of the world; I can highly recommend this property and our hosts.
