About this villa rental
Casa da Alcaria is located on the edge of a small quiet neighborhood, just outside the coastal town of Altura. The house is very nicely situated. From the back terrace you have unobstructed views of fields with almond and olive trees and a large carob tree. At this terrace is also the beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers, barbecue, and outdoor shower.
On the upper floor, accessible via the marble staircase, is a spacious roof terrace with a panoramic view, where you can see the sun set and enjoy the starry sky. The house was built in 2005 and is very well equipped. All rooms have air conditioning for cooling and heating. There is also a CV for the cooler months.
From each room you have access to a terrace through sliding doors. Casa da Alcaria is very light and decorated with modern furniture. The cheerful colors make you feel at home very quickly. It is an asthma-friendly vacation home where you can combine sun, sea, nature and culture beautifully. The house is often visited by families with young children. There are one crib, one high chair and plenty of toys for the pool.
Surroundings Altura
The lively seaside resort of Altura is 2 km away, as is the kilometer-long sandy beach. In Altura are several supermarkets, restaurants and a small market hall with fresh produce. Also in the cozy beach bars is good (fish) food.
Altura is located south of Casa da Alcaria. Immediately north are the vineyards and orange fields. Tavira and Vila Real de Santo António are attractive towns in the area to visit. Closer by, Cacela Velha and the mundane Monte Gordo are worth a visit. You can experience the absolute solitude and peace of the hinterland along the border river Guadiana between Portugal and Spain. This area offers wonderful walks along the Grand Route Algarve. Excellent golf courses are also situated in the direct surroundings. Due to the location of Casa da Alcaria at the Spanish border, a visit to Seville (1,5 hour) is very attractive.
