what a lovely place to stay!
This was booked last minute as close to the bus station. There was a really nice atmosphere with all the plants and decoration. The gentleman who welcomed us was very friendly. it was great to have access to a kitchen and even though the room was very small it was clean and the bathroom was a good size.
The room was very small especially with big bags but for one night it was perfect.

Clean, cosy outside area, pretty garden and pool , quiet
The street is a bit dodgy, but the next street is more animated. Didn't go out at night!
No window in the room

The place is beautiful with an interesting ranch style (querencia) that seems like a telenovela studio. The location is convenient also as it is near the bus terminal and shopping area.
This business does not offer breakfast or any kind of food for purchases and nearby places close early. In sum, it seems à bit expensive and they accept cash only. The place feels lonely and insécure when no workers are seen or accessible in the premises.

Hostel located on a typical house. The rooms are situated around a central patio with a garden and a water fountain. You can fall asleep listening the sound of the water.

Location, pool, I liked that they provided towels and soap.

Great potential but maybe there's no tourist market for it. Very well located on the Plaza de Armas side of the tracks near shopping, restaurants, but still close to the bus stations back on the other side. Apparently the hostel was full, but no one seemed to hang out in the large lounge area or around the pool. Even the owner. He had town maps and some excellent brochures available on a table in the lounge, but I couldn't help thinking he could advertise tours of the wineries or out to Siete Tazas. Or had some music and a bar around the pool. Maybe he did in the past and found it didn't work. My private room was fine in all respects except for the cold shower. I tended to shower in the early evening after a hot day out so I didn't mind so much but still...
Cold shower. No interaction with other hostel guests.
