The house fit us comfortably and all amenities were as shown. When the hot water heater broke and flooded the house, Vacasa responded quickly and professionally and replaced it (and had the downstairs cleaned and disinfected) within 24 hours. They were able to move us to another (smaller) house for two nights, for which we were grateful.
Unfortunately, this resulted in the need for us to pack our multi-generational family twice during the week and to have people sleeping on couches and mattresses on the floor and had us back and forth between the two homes, which greatly disrupted out long-awaited family time together.
Surely, this was no one's fault, but we would have appreciated some acknowledgement (and dare I say, compensation?) for this inconvenient disruption. The remainder of the week passed pleasantly at After Dune Delight and we enjoyed our shortened time there. Shout out to Larry, who addressed our many concerns to the best of his ability.

We left a review on vacasa but again, we had a very great stay! The house was beautiful and clean. There was enough space for everyone and the descriptions were very accurate. Everyone had their own room with either a full bath in the room or very close. It was a great time and we would absolutely stay again!

Very disappointed that all the things that other people complained about in the prior reviews were not fixed. Stove still needs replaced.. only 2 burners work. Still no shelves in refrigerator. You could order the shelves for $100. I don’t understand why they wouldn’t do that. After walking on the floor for 20 minutes my feet were black. It’s obvious that they have not mopped those floors in months. It needs a deep cleaning. All the bathrooms with glass shower stalls had all grime and mold in the track and when you took a shower it all floated on the bottom of the shower. The air conditioning vents on the bottom floor were so filthy that I wasnt sure if it was dirt or mold. These are all problems that could be resolved, but don’t seem to get resolved.
On a positive note, the house is in a great location! Gift shops, and ice cream store are right next door. Market is walkable and the beach is very close. Even though the house needed an overall and a deep cleaning my family and I had fun and made some great memories!

I absolutely cannot believe the condition of this property considering we paid over $13k for one week! These problems are not new. They have been noted for years. The owner clearly is waiting for this house to fall apart or to be sued before taking action! Vacasa was notified immediately about the mold but but by the third day, my communications with them were pretty much swept under the rug…no pun intended because housekeeping didn’t even sweep!

First off our extended family vacation was outstanding. This was five sisters and brothers and their families spending quality time together and creating lifelong memories.
If you are looking for a house that is perfect then pay at a minimum double the amount of After Dune Delight. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
The house details. The location is perfect! Directly across from the main entrance to the beach. Ice cream store and gift shop next door. Only neighbors are to the left of you. We loved going to the beach and then coming back to the pool. The bedrooms were fine with private bathrooms in almost all of them. The bunk beds were the only concern. They are not suitable/safe for teens in our opinion. The main(third floor) living space and kitchen were great for family meals and gatherings. The views and deck we loved. The kitchen has plenty of pots, pans, dishes and utensils but that is it. You need to bring all the basics including salt, pepper, sugar and coffee filters. The first floor living space needs to be replaced. The springs are coming through the bottom of the couch and chairs. This is an easy and inexpensive fix.
Overall I would recommend After Dune Delight if that’s what your family wants to pay. Remember to have an open mind and realize that you are there for what’s important, creating meaningful memories.

We survived Hurricane Ian over the weekend here with a group of 17. We had an awesome time apart from Mother Nature. The backyard was great and close proximity to basically every shop and restaurant in Sandbridge Beach. Ample bedrooms and bathrooms. I'm giving this 3 stars for some general maintenance concerns I had noticed during our stay, but all easily fixable. Home next door looked beautifully renovated and was under the same management.

House is beautiful and in a great location to beach, food and shopping. Pool was nice to have and a good size. Cleanliness was maybe 1 star when we arrived, although Vacasa worked through that issue with us to our satisfaction. There are a few maintenance items needed both inside and outside (deck is not in good shape, grill should be replaced, landscaping needed, windows and closet doors need repaired, refrigerator needs new drawers/condiment shelves, shower doors need repair, cabinet door missing in kitchen). With a little attention to cleaning and maintenance, this would be a wonderful rental.

Location is fantastic!!
But VERY poor maintenance on home. Pool liner very dirty with a gross back ring all the way around and coming off in many areas, lens cap hanging off underwater light. All mattresses very uncomfortable, no blankets on beds, sheet only. Normally don’t have to buy anything when we stay at vacation homes, but had to buy A LOT. House for 20 people - we had 2 dishwasher pods for an entire week, One roll of paper towels, not even close to enough toilet paper for 20 people, no pot holders or dish cloths, tracks falling off all the screen slider doors so we couldn’t use them, handles broken off windows, two lounge chairs and 4 regular chairs by pool for 20 people, tv remote batteries dead, many light bulbs out, no karaoke machine as advertised. Ceiling fans and air vents filthy. And that’s just a few things- I could go on. By far the worst vacation home we have home ever stayed in. Looks like it was very nice at one time, but no one does maintenance- definitely not like the posted pictures. We made it work but wouldn’t go back .

Loved the location, the house itself needs an overhaul, cabinets with door broken off and overall a dirty house. We have been here several times, write a similar review, and never have I had a response form your company

A lot of things in the house was not working and nasty, dusty, dingy.. heat stopped working in two rooms, ceiling fans are very dirty , the door from the cabinet where the trash go is broken off, the stove doesn’t work properly on three burners the maintenance man came and could not fix he said a new stove is needed they had to bring a space heater for the downstairs there was blood stains on the mattress protector and mattress they bring two new ones and we had to wash the sheets and pillows off the bed. The fridge is missing inserts that hold the beverages in the door so we were thankful it’s winter so we just sat the milk water etc outside on the patio - the window in the bedroom with the patio was broken in one of the rooms so we pushed the patio chairs up against it so it wouldn’t keep opening in the middle of the first night and maintenance came to fix the next morning!!! The list goes on.. I’ve asked for half of the money back. It was awful I’m not sure how the ratings were so good.

The house was beautiful. It just needs a facelift and deep cleaning.

I highly recommend After Dune Delight to anyone looking to book a trip to VA Beach. The house is spacious and the views are amazing. Watching the sunrise through the large windows facing the ocean while drinking my morning coffee was perfection.
We had a group of 20 adults and we were all comfortably sleeping and have room. The large table was a perfect place for large morning meals before we headed out for our event each day!
Look forward to making this an annual trip with our group! Thank you for an amazing trip.

We did extensive research before our trip and sight unseen we chose after dune delight. It seemed to check all the boxes for our large group of friends. Upon early arrival, we were unable to check in but visited a local coffee shop (Fetch Coffee) that we grew to love during our stay to wait it out. We finally got our keys and entered the home. It is quite large and fit all of us comfortably. We had plenty of room to spread out, eat, lounge, and hide if we wanted. The house could use a bit of TLC. The furniture was ample. Some beds were comfy, others not so. The water pressure was excellent, and never lacked for hot water. Some of the shower doors were not secure. One day, 2 burners on the stove stopped working. A call for maintenance gave us a tech within an hour. He fixed the issue asap. Unfortunately a few other issues could not be resolved...for example the pool lights both in the pool and outside the pool are out of order and don't seem to be getting fixed. The pool liner could use a replacement but didn't damper our fun in the pool. The location of the house was amazing. 2 minutes to the beach, 30 seconds to delicious ice cream, and 2 minutes to the market. The kitchen had almost everything we needed. The toaster was missing its numbers but we managed. The fridge upstairs has some broken shelves and the fridge downstairs froze our food. Nothing terrible. The grill also needs replacement. It is impossible to turn on and the grates are a bit overused. But again, we managed. The A/C was a bit weird in that the rooms downstairs were ice cold and some rooms on the second floor were warm. We used the ceiling fans to circulate air and that helped. We were a group of 5 families with 12 kids between the ages of 11-14. We all had a fantastic time, and although the house could use a few upgrades, it was perfect for us. We would go back again in a heartbeat and absolutely fell in love with Sandbridge.

We loved the home and the location. It was a quick walk to the beach, and there were a few shops nearby. The home was very well appointed, and we loved the open kitchen/dining/great room area which was perfect for family dinners and gathering. The check in and check out process was very easy and the management company was very quick and responsive. Loved our stay and the home, and the pool was great, too! Loved After Dune Delight- thanks for a great vacation!

Seniors Girl's Trip
We had a great time. The property was spacious and comfortable. About a 15 minute ride to great restaurants and shopping. Margie and Rays is about 2 minutes away and has excellent food and service. About two blocks from Sandbridge beach.
There were 6 of us. We each had our own bedroom and bathroom. Each bedroom had a working TV! The upstairs living are was massive with a large table for dining and plenty of room for sitting.
The only problem is that we are women in our seventies so climbing 3 flights of stairs several times a day was a big challanging, but we learned how to plan our day to reduce the the need to go up and down the stairs so much. We would go back in spite of the stairs.
We went in mid May. At that time it was a nice quiet community with no crowds, little traffic and no waits for restaurants.
Fabulous place to stay!
