This was probably the most comfortable rental house we've ever stayed in. It's lovely inside, nicely decorated, comfortable beds, and the blackout curtains help so much. The house was central to all the places we were visiting -- colonial Williamsburg, Busch Gardens, water country USA, and Virginia Beach. Very convenient. I would just mention that the bed sheets had a laundry fragrance to them that irritated some of us with sensitive skin. The nearby Mexican restaurant was good. Venture kitchen had great pizza. Overall we really had a lovely time! Thank you!

The house was very clean and had lots of space for our two families! The furnishings were up to date and clean. The street right outside of the home was very loud, but our kids slept through it!

This home is everything the listing makes it out to be and more. It is clean and organized. We were there with our family, including small children. We had everything we needed, bar a gate for the stairs which we knew in advance, and were very comfortable. The hosts were accessible and communicative when we had a death in the family and arrived late. We highly recommend this home! If we came back to this area we would definitely stay there again.

This beautiful home was EXACTLY as listed!!! From the moment we opened the door, it felt like home!! It's very, very clean!! All you need to bring is your clothes and food. Excellent location. This was the perfect place to spend time in Hampton and attend our daughter's graduation from Hampton University! Excellent communication!! Thank you, Schaffer Family, for being such exceptional hosts. We look forward to returning whenever we are in the area again!

5 friends gathered at the house for a weekend seeing shows at the Coliseum. The living space was perfectly sized and comfortable. Kitchen was spacious and had enough to get us going with all we needed to prep and cook meals. The BBQ was a +! Beds and linens were clean and very comfortable. Host communications were quick and very cordial. Overall a great VRBO spot!

Our stay began with the owners welcoming us with a batch of "Happy Birthday" cupcakes. (I had briefly mentioned that along with having our family Thanksgiving there, it would be my birthday & my son planned to propose to his girlfriend.) We felt the cupcakes was such a thoughtful touch, very classy. This home provided a comfortable & cozy backdrop for some significant family events during our stay. We loved the decor, it was fresh, modern & up to date. We would recommend this home again for any small family gatherings.

When I found out my aunt was coming from CA to VA for several days, I hosted an impromptu family reunion. I chose Hampton because of its central-ish location for my siblings to join us. I specifically chose this beautiful home for its size. Even though only 3 of the 6 siblings could be there, we made extraordinary memories! This home is so well-appointed with standard supplies AND unexpected, generous surprises, I highly recommend it for family-friendly gatherings! The hosts were perfect communicators. They live in the home just behind this property. Easy access to gorgeous Buckroe Beach, grocery stores, and plenty of other services. I can say that we will definitely seek out this specific location again!

We really enjoyed this property! Hampton is a perfect middle base to visit the historic sites (Williamsburg etc) and the beaches (Virginia Beach) with a very nice local beach nearby! With just one minor thermostat reset, the owner was quickly responsive and helped reset the AC to the right temps upstairs. (Responding in seconds to my text). The hospitality of the cupcakes is an example of the little things that make this a great stay.

My husband and I spent 4 days here. We loved visiting nearby places like Buckroe Beach and Langley NASA Science Museum. We even took in a Norfolk Tides game less than an hour away. The house is so clean and beautifully decorated.

What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG). This property was just like the posted images: neat, nicely decorated, clean, and pleasantly surprised that all beds were comfortable! This property is well managed as a Premier Host. I would definitely keep this property in mind for my next visit.

This property did not disappoint and the pictures do not do it justice! It is completely renovated, beautifully decorated, meticulously clean and everything from the comfort of the beds to the linens were high end and just perfect. It was completely unlike rentals we have had in the past and appeared like someone's personal home. The three large bathrooms were modern and beautiful. This home is located in front of the owners of the property and they communicated with us as needed. With four bedrooms (two on the second floor), it is very roomy and allows for privacy for all family members. Parking was adequate and the outdoor seating area was an added bonus. We spent a week here while touring around the Peninsula (my home town) to show my kids and grandson the area. It was centrally located between Virginia Beach and Williamsburg/Yorktown area. I will always remember this place as where my 10 month old grandson started to crawl (that's how clean the floor was). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, have nothing negative to say and highly recommend this rental for your family.

For never having stayed at a vacation rental before Dave and Cheri set the bar high for our first experience! As always pictures don't do justice. This home was very clean and had PLENTY of room for our family of 6. The foosball table was a definite hit with the kids along with the cupcakes! 😁 We highly recommend this rental and look forward to staying here if we venture to Virginia again!
