Surrounded by tall cedars, two seasonal creeks and the Mt Hood National Forest, a visit to this unique geodesic dome mountain cabin will leave you refreshed and relaxed. Centered on in a secluded setting, take a stroll along the winding driveway and enjoy the scenery or say “hello” to the deer who visit here daily at dawn and dusk. Meander down the trail to the seasonal creek with the waterfall and just sit back and relax.
The unique geodesic shape surrounds you in the vaulted great room with view windows, the fully-equipped kitchen, the woodstove and comfortable log cabin furniture. Step out to the wrap-around deck for socializing, grilling dinner or spending time with friends. Roast marshmallows and recount stories of the day’s explorations at Mt Hood while sitting around the firepit during the evenings.

We were enthralled with the property. Fun, serene, close to the grocery store and Mt. Hood. Wonderful place.
Only complaint (this is silly) was that the pool table was quite tight and game rules caused some heated family debate!
Would highly recommend it.

What a cabin! We loved everything about this place. It was super secluded on the top of a big hill, had two nice bose speakers strategically placed in the dome, and was very quiet. Would definitely go here again.

My husband and I brought our pup for a short stay this summer. We absolutely loved this property. Very quiet, serene, and peaceful - exactly what we were looking for. It had all of the amenities we needed. There were a couple of minor pieces of feedback we sent to the property manager about cleanliness and the check-in code, and they were very responsive. We also loved that this house was close to the grocery store and several hiking trails. We would stay here again!

My family really enjoyed our weekend stay at the Cedar Creek Hideaway! The home is cozy and very private. Had a little trouble accessing the house upon arrival because we didn’t have cell service and no access to email or the app to get the lockbox code. So future guests can learn from me and jot down directions and codes before leaving for your trip!

Had a nice time at the property. Some things could be cleaner( food chunks on washed put away dishes, mold in upstairs bathroom, visible cob webs on harder to dust area’s). There were a few things that could have been better. One the mattress in the down stairs bed rooms were clearly old and sunk in the middle. Two the “hot tub” was actually just a whirlpool tub in the master bath. Three the road to the cabin had several unmarked and very harsh speed bumps that could easily damage a non suv car. Finally the bbq was completely useless, the gas lines were totally corded and leaking gas in at least two spots.
In spite of these issues we had a good time on the get away. Probably would try a different cabin next time, but no hard feelings about this rental

We love staying at the Geodome! It's location was secluded from the neighbors, while still being really close to everything in Welches. You really felt like you had solitude in the forest. The beds were really comfortable & the kichen had a good mix of utensils & pans/dishes. We have a small issue with the door lock but the folks at Mt Hood Rentals were very helpful in getting it taken care of quickly! Cedar Creek Hideaway was a great base camp for our Mt Hood adventure!

We liked the secluded location. It was super quiet. It does need a few details like, there was a DVD player but no DVD'S and lots of VHS tapes but no VHS player. And the pool table needs a short pool cue to play. The home needs updating for sure but is a good rustic cabin vibe.

Weekend reunion
The house was great for a weekend ski trip reunion with friends. We loved the shape of the house and the spacious outdoors area.
Few things to note for future guests - the Wi-Fi is extremely slow. Not a bad thing but came in at about 2mbps when we tested (well under 20 as listed). I was surprisingly able to take zoom calls for work and run some editing software but at lower quality.
The cleanliness and communication was not as expected for a full rental agency. There were a few stains and sticky spots on the floor. My group was not bothered by it but rather surprised for the cleaning prices.

The internet is garbage. Might as well not have it. The place is marketed to large groups but the internet can barely support 1 person. That was extremely frustrating.
We had some bear issues with the garbage outside. A new bear-protective garbage solution could be great.

The location of this property is idea - very private and plenty to explore on the 7 acres. The house is definitely funky and original so charming but not luxurious. The master is open to the downstairs so can get noisy if you have kids who stay up later.

We stayed in this cabin Friday afternoon until Sunday mid morning. It was a bit difficult to find in the dark, but once you get there, it's not a problem getting to and from. We fully enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room. It is a cozy cabin away from other houses. It is nice that they only have one TV. More family time playing the numerous board games and it was so nice to listen to music on the great surround sound system in the house! Super bonus! The only thing that was upsetting was the amount of mouse droppings in the kitchen cabinets and drawers. It seems like they are aware of the rodent problem though. It would have been nice if all of the droppings were cleaned up prior to our arrival. We had to wash any dish/silverware/cup that we used due to the droppings. It was inconvenient and a bit gross, but we didn't let it ruin our stay there. I would recommend this cabin to a friend regardless.

This place is amazing! Great family get-away with lots of living space on 3 floors. My daughter was delighted to find glow in the dark night sky constellations on the bunk room ceiling. With the light off you really felt as if you were outside looking up into the sky! This space is well cared for and has everything you need for family dinners, lots of games, a pool table, grill and hiking trails. The staff was quick to respond to all communications and were very helpful and friendly.

Cedar Creek Hideaway is The Place! With a well-equipped kitchen that beckons 2-3 cooks working together, laughter & memories are prolific. The beautiful log table & benches is the perfect place for family meals, board games & time together! The pool table is great for socializing & demonstrating ones lack of skills ... or developing talent as my grandsons so quickly demonstrated. The beautiful surround deck is perfect for this locale as this cabin is secluded. With streams & waterfalls on both sides, the woods beg to be explored. Definitely our favorite family get-away!

We were very happy with our stay in the Cedar Creek Hideaway. The dome provided fun acoustics with voices traveling in interesting ways. The wood stove made the stay quite cozy, even during a rainy, cool fall day. The kitchen was well equipped for holiday meals and the pool table provided hours of entertainment along with the whole house sound system. The library was quite extensive and I wished I had more time to explore all of the books.

We stayed here for a conference nearby. The staff was very friendly and helpful with our booking and accommodation. The hideaway was a scenic, unique, fun place to stay. Every time we pulled up to the place I would stop and stare at how breathtaking the architecture was, especially nestled in the stunning scenery. The interior is actually pretty normal and fit our needs well. Comfy bedrooms, standard bathrooms, large dining room table, and an older kitchen we didn't use. The road /driveway was steep, unpaved, and had a few deep holes, so factor that into your decision of what car to drive or whether to stay here. Overall a great stay.
