The apartment is tastefully decorated and it is evident that a great deal of thought has gone into meeting the needs of any guest. There is plenty of crockery and glassware as well as the added bonus of a dishwasher. The oven is easy to use -perfect for pizzas and jacket potatoes.
The bathroom is spectacular with its huge waterfall shower head and heated towel rail..
The living area is comfy; there is even a small outdoor seating area - ideal for morning coffee or a glass of wine at the end of the day.
Another bonus is the sizable parking space.
The apartment is close to the local Co-Op and the main town centre and Hope Park is about a 10 minute walk.

Excellent breakfast and great suite, with very friendly hosts, with an essential car parking space in Keswick.
Road traffic was a little noisy overnight.

I had a full English breakfast and it was delicious. The black pudding crumbled into my mouth with a tiny bit of crispness. If you love black pudding cooked properly then you'll know what I mean. The tea and toast kept on coming. The decor is excellent, and so many little things are added to make a wonderful environment. Thank you and the host's son "Charlie" was an absolute delight!
If I have to leave an improvement comment here then it will simply be this. I wish we had booked for longer and a little later in the year, maybe that would be the only thing that I didn't like.

Beautifully renovated, lots of thought in to the layout and facilities. Martin and his family are so welcoming, helpful and personable, they really made us feel at home.

The breakfast English was freshly cooked and hot. I liked the decor room, the mini fridge with fresh milk and room had a calming atmosphere. The bathroom was large with a small one person sauna combined shower and a double spar bath. From the Juliet balcony there were pleasant views over the river. The room being advertised as the 'bridal suite', overall I thought was good value for the money.
Sadly, our stay was completely ruined following the behaviour of the host over our belated time of vacating the room.
The official time for checking out was 10:00am. At 10:20am there was a knock on the door. I opened it to be confronted with Mrs Renson telling me we should have left the room by 10:00am. I apologised profusely and said we were just about to come down. She left with the passing comments, "I have to get cracking you know"! I was taken aback as I had thought we had struck up a genuinely cordial relationship with her, with my partner often having dotted on one of her little boys. Part of the reason for our lateness was I mistakenly believed I had payed for our stay via 'booking.com', and had just learnt the payment hadn't been taken. According to the manual in the room the payment should be made by either bank transfer or cash at the guest house, yes I know, I should have read it earlier.
So, when we came down stairs I explained the situation and asked how would she like me to pay. Mrs Renson became increasingly more agitated and told me to get the cash out of a cash machine from the petrol station, which according to her, other customers had previously done. She then said we had to pay a further £20 for our overstay. This was a shock. I accept we were at fault for not vacating the room on time, but to be asked for another £20? I thought this an appalling attitude towards us. Following my journey to a cash point, I handed over £280 for the two night stay and asked again was she still insistent on the £20 extra? She replied "Yes, you have wasted 45 minutes of my time already". I pointed out to her this would reflect in my review resulting in her becoming more confrontational saying "two can play at that game, I will leave a negative one for you as well". On that note I didn't say another word, and handed over to her another £20 and left.

We were greeted with big smiles when we arrived. Such lovely people running this small bed and breakfast. Our room was incredibly clean and comfortable, had fresh milk for tea and Lakeland water in the fridge. The spa bath was exceptional after a day hiking! Not to mention the full English breakfast we had which fortified us for another day of walking around Keswick. I would definitely recommend!

fabulous hospitality, welcoming and very accommodating. room was very clean and maintained at a good temperature. shampoo and body wash was empty however when raised it was refilled promptly. bed was exceptionally comfortable. breakfast was good (scrambled eggs would’ve been better if cooked more)

Absolutely stunning, the most relaxing break we’ve ever had. The room is beautifully furnished with everything so well thought out.
After a days walking the hills, being able to warm up with a sauna and relaxing spa bath was the best thing ever. Wonderful breakfasts and such lovely hosts.
We will certainly be back, if only to try and get through all those DVD’s!
