Escape the island's crowds and discover the quiet coastlines and dramatic terrain of Greece's mainland peninsular instead at this hideaway nestled high in the hillsides of Pelion. Commanding the most astonishing views of the sea, and with a picture-perfect village just a short stroll away, settings don't get much more idyllic than this. Savour long, lazy lunches beneath the pergola. Slope away to the hammock beneath the mulberry tree and lose yourself in a good book. Or beat the heat with a dip in the infinity pool. Wherever you choose to be, those views will be right there. Inside, while this home may not be the most luxurious in our portfolio, it brings all the rustic charm that you'd hope from a sleepy mountain village abode. Beneath the villa's exposed wooden rafters, bespoke carpentry and statement lighting fuse together for a refreshing touch of modernity. And there's everything you need to rustle up a bite to eat in the compact but well-equipped, modern kitchen. When it's time for adventure, seek out the hiking trails lacing through the surrounding hillsides. Take an amble into the dreamy village of Agios Geogrios Nilia (seven minutes on foot) for a feast in its traditional tavernas. Or follow the winding mountain roads down through the clouds and chestnut forests to the sandy beaches (half an hour's drive). Home truths: *Due to its remote, hillside setting, a car is strongly recommended to make the most of your stay here *There is private parking for one car here *This home sleeps six with the last two guests sharing a sofabed in a secondary living space which doubles as a study *Your host and owner of this home will greet you at the property to check in *A welcome hamper is provided to help settle you in, including breakfast essentials *Family-friendly amenities such as a cot and highchair are available on request for no additional fee, just request with your host in advance *There's a laptop-friendly space for remote working here *Wood for the fire is provided in winter months, but there's independent heating in each room too
