We really enjoyed our stay here, everything was clean, organised and all the basics were there. The views of the river are lovely. Agree with some of the other reviewers that storage was limited, but we used the second bedroom and there are so many lovely places to eat in Wakefield that we didn’t need to stock too much food. Great place for a weekend.

The property is exactly as it appears on VRBO.
I was disappointed that no effort was made by our hosts to make themselves known to us.
Several areas of improvement:
Install a washer and dryer on the property. There is no laundromat in the entire village. We were supplied one towel per person, for a visit that lasted 8 days.
The bathroom tub/shower enclosure does not have grab bars, a basic safety feature.
The kitchen area lacks storage for groceries. I had to purchase a small tiered shelf to store my personal grocery items.
The water is hard water. Calcification build up in all the faucets signigicantly affected pressure. I was brushing my teeth and washing my face in the kitchen sink.
Access to the rental is through the back second floor door. The hand rails are wood and have many rough edges. We had several splinters as a result.
The main entrance is a full glass door. There is no privacy from the back.
The location is central to Wakefield village. You can walk everywhere. The view of the Gatineau River is spectacular.
Check in is 4pm. Be prepared, as many restaurants are closed early.

A really great stay - super central to Wakefield, lovely view over the river, clean, stocked with everything we needed, and a handy parking spot out the back. All in all a great stay, we'll definitely be coming back and recommending it to others.

We really enjoyed our stay here. It was spotlessly clean and had a fun and quirky vibe. The location was excellent. I would go back again.

This apartment had everything we wanted for myself, my friend and her pup!! The location is perfect - there’s a dock right across the street to swim off of, and it’s in walking distance to the Saturday market as well as all the shops and cafes. The air conditioning was very welcome and it was super fun to BBQ. We also liked that both balconies were dog-friendly as they could be/were completely closed off. Would definitely rent again!
