Everything about The Old Bookshop was wonderful. The location was close to everything. It was clean and comfortable. Some provisions were provided. The gulls were welcoming. One even tapped on the window to wake me up two mornings.

Everything about The Old Bookshop was perfect. The location was convenient to everything we needed and everywhere we wanted to visit. The cottage was cozy and well appointed, with two extremely comfortable arm chairs to welcome us at the end of a long day. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom, though small, had a good strong shower. We couldn't have asked for more, and we were very sorry to leave. Thank you, Jemma, for a wonderful stay in St. Ives.

We booked a 3 week stay at The Old Bookshop from 1st to 22nd May 24 and found everything from the location, welcome pack, facilities to be excellent. We only have a few suggestions for improvement.
1. The shower and cubicle is in need of updating as very old fashioned in comparison to rest of bathroom.
2. As there is no dryer a clothes dryer would be useful. I don’t normally do washing on holiday but as we were away for a month in total I needed somewhere to hang washing that wasn’t quite dry.
Apart from the above we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone.

Loved our stay! Conveniently located, quiet at night! We had problem with shower head and fixed within an hour! Lovely greeting with wine and scones! Top notch all around! Loved all the books too. Only wish: a top sheet and some blankets. Would highly recommend this rental

Very relaxing and chilled with every possible piece of kitchen equipment at hand. Comfy bed with lovely soft towels. What a welcome pack, we didn’t need to stock up on anything, all the essentials provided. Very thoughtful of the host.

I absolutely loved everything about this very central St Ives cottage. It’s only a one minute walk to bars, restaurants, beaches. We stayed for a week and really felt at home. Everything works in this cottage. The lounge is homely, comfy armchairs and has an eating/dining area inside and also in the delightful garden. The kitchen is extremely well equipped and the owners left us some fresh milk, orange juice, biscuits and a Cornish cream tea, a bowl of fruit and a bottle of wine, which was extremely welcome. Extra touches were tea, coffee, sugar, cleaning materials, washing up liquid, hand soaps. The owners literally thought of everything you need home from home. The lounge and bedroom have good tvs. The bed was also very comfortable and the bathroom had everything you could need. The cottage was spotless throughout and it was an absolute joy staying there. It’s clear this cottage is very loved. I would definitely stay here again, don’t hesitate to book it.

The old bookshop was a delight to stay in. The pictures didn’t really do it justice on how cute and cosy it is. The Christmas book tree in the window was so brilliant. We had wine, mince pies, fresh bread, butter and milk waiting for us - lovely touch and very much appreciated. It was spotlessly clean. The location was perfect - just a stones throw from the hustle and bustle. The log fire was great a big basket of logs was provided. We loved our stay x

A fantastic stay in a charming small home in the very centre of St.Ives!
This is a beautiful traditional home in St.Ives which has an unbelievable location right in the centre of town. The walk to the beach is literally 1-2 minutes and you're moments from the main thorough-fair of shops and cafes. My friend and I stayed for three nights and we loved it. The house was super clean on our arrival and there were some lovely treats too. We'd definitely rebook and stay here again. There's a small courtyard garden at the back, the kitchen is really well equipped and there's a television in the lounge and in the bedroom. The house although traditional has loads of modern touches that made the stay really comfortable and easy. Would go back next month if I could! Thank you Jemma.
