Fabulous Rustic Retreat

The rural setting, the construction of the hut, and the cows.

These amazing cabins built by the owner from timber from their own property are amazing. The thought that has gone into every detail has made these cabins one of the best places that we have stayed.

loved the location and serenity. the cottage was soo quaint and cosy

I don’t think the linen was cleaned from previous guests. I found mouse poo, dirt marks and body hair on my sheets. also the single bed had head hair. also all the glassware and utensils had to be washed to before used. not that it was a huge issue but think need to state there is no wifi/internet reception up there. I was unable to do some online book work that needed doing and think it would be an amazing spot to get away to say write a book or something but would need reception.

Serenity in the hills behind Penguin

We were very glad we chose this accommodation. The cottage was a wonderful and tasteful application of Tasmanian timber put to fantastic use. It was quiet, secluded and away from the hustle and bustle of Penguin.

The cottage is beautifully furnished and modern with creative wooden shelves and finishings. The beds were super comfortable and the room cleverly arranged. The location is superb: close to Penguin but nestled in a quiet valley. When we woke up the birdsong from the natural forest surrounding the farm waa exquisite,, and two adorable ponies grazing in the field just outside the front porch. We could not see or hear our neighbours so we felt like the only ones there.

Slice of heaven, absolutely beautiful

The mountain view hut was absolutely beautiful, spotlessly clean with everything fresh, and bright with views of the mountain, with friendly horses, cows and a couple of bulls. There's a bbq, so we had a great dinner and a fantastic breakfast. Best idea as it doesn't fill the hut with cook odours, we sat until the sun was down and watched it come over the mountain. Our favourite place. Will will be staying again but will be 3 or 4 nights. If you read this then do yourself a favour and stay min of 2 nights. Or more you will love it. Hayden and Patricia

Not staying 3 days, and we wish we had arrived earlier. Not arriving at 3 and enjoying the most of it.

Spectacular

The photos do not do justice to the gorgeous outlook or accommodation. It was absolute bliss staying in such tranquil surroundings. We were very comfortable and didn't want for anything. Highly recommend this beautiful place.

We will return!

The cabins have been built with such incredible attention to detail, they are so beautiful! We told the owners we wanted to move in! The farm is so peaceful, just birdsong and the occasional moo from the resident cows.

We really didn’t like leaving…we wanted to stay forever!

Absolutely loved staying here. Would highly recommend .

Cows, Horses and a friendly dog. The timber cabins are amazing with beautiful views. The owners are externally accommodating.

would’ve liked a frying pan for the induction hot plate . and that’s about it. which tbh. wasn’t a big deal.

all hand made furniture the view and the hut was stunning it was quiet and comfy our room had a spa that was so relaxing the owners were so friendly and welcoming we walked in and it was absolutely stunning words don’t describe how much we enjoys and loved this accommodation

This cosy little cabin is absolutely gorgeous and the surrounds are stunning. Loved our stay!

This is such a special place to come and stay. I wish we could've stayed longer. You're so close to Devonport yet at the property you feel like you're completely alone. The house was cozy, clean and perfectly equiped with just what we needed. We will definitely be back for a longer stay next time.

I can't suggest 1 improvement. It was perfect.

Cozy, relaxing and beautiful outlook.

Loved the comfort of the accommodation. A beautiful warm welcome with the fire burning.

Home made jams and fresh bread were advertised in the booking info and accommodation was stated to be a bed & breakfast but breakfast is no longer included so maybe an update to their website and bookings page would be a good idea.
