The house met our needs. It was spacious and comfortable
We ran out of toilet paper and had to buy more. The house only had 1 bathroom so a portable outhouse was provided. It wasn’t ideal but it worked in a pinch

This was my 3rd time staying here. Marty has an awesome place with an incredible view of the lake and mountains! Marty has done an excellent job ensuring guests have everything they need to be comfy, and the amount of space you get is awesome. For the price, you can't beat it. It's definitely been one of my favorite places to book.
The neighbor's dogs :P They love to bark at everything!

This is my 2nd stay here, as it's a nice place. Lots of space for the price. Lots of little details that the host includes to make your stay more enjoyable. Coffee beans. Condiments in the fridge. Some snacks (which will probably vary from stay to stay). Portable AC units. A portable fan (great for light sleepers who like white noise). Plenty of extra sheets, blankets, towels, if you need them.
If you're enjoying the stars late at night in the backyard, the neighbor's dog will remind you that you are not alone 😂

The views from the house are amazing.
Nothing in the town to do. We knew that though.

We only made coffee and tea in the house.
Bathroom was fine except the toilet tank did not refill after the flush. I had to fill the toilet bowl tank after each flush with water from the sink.

We had to make last minute changes to our schedule and had excellent communication with the host. This very spacious home appeared to have recently been updated. I loved the quality yet quirky handiwork throughout. It was well stocked, which we appreciated. We liked everything about this home including the privacy and quiet.
The restaurant at the resort was closed Mon-Wed and there were no other options without driving into Polson. Come prepared to cook or BBQ. If you are looking for tourist activities, again, drive to Polson.

The view was lovely! The beds and couches were comfortable, there was a nice selection of games, Montana info, activity brochures and maps. It had all the comforts of home, including kitchen ware and a nice selection of spices and various items in the fridge left from previous guests. It was quiet and felt private. The owner was very responsive. Plan your grocery shopping as the closest stores are in Polson, ~10 miles away, and I don't think anything was open in Big Arm when we were there in the 2nd week of May. Having a 2 bedroom place was much better than 2 hotel rooms, and it was a good price. It was about 1/4 mi up a slight incline from the lake.
Finding it the first time was confusing, as the gate & sign are set back from the road after a nice 2 story house, and the house numbers were not in sequence. We are not used to driving in snow, so I wonder what the drive up the road would be like in winter. The steam iron there didn't work well (or maybe it was operator error, not sure). But...how many people need an iron on a mountain vacation?! So, no real drawbacks - we hope to return and enjoy the lake activities in warmer weather!
