The ocean is right outside your window and beneath your breezy balcony when you stay at Sand Dollar II, our fourth-floor corner beachfront condo on Crescent Beach located in St. Augustine. With the Intracoastal behind you and the Atlantic in front, you get amazing sunrises and sunsets. This condo has the best location in St. Augustine, and the views are so mesmerizing you won't want to leave your private balcony. There is even a full wall window in the primary bedroom, so you can watch the dolphins playing in the water right in front of you year-round, the whales in November, and the turtles nesting all summer long - all this while having breakfast in bed. This place truly is a beach lover's paradise.
Nestled on a strip of coastline between ocean and waterway, Sand Dollar II is just right for your next northeast Florida vacation. St. Augustine is just minutes away by car, and Daytona is right down the road as well. Orlando is less than two hours away if you are tempted to make a day trip to Disney World. The Intracoastal is a wildlife paradise, with walking trails and the perfect setting for canoeing, kayaking, and boating. And then there's Crescent Beach, the finest in the St. Augustine area, with uncrowded sugary-white sands, great shelling, biking, and surfing, and an abundance of dolphins, pelicans, and other exciting sights.
And the best place to view all this beauty is the balcony at Sand Dollar II. You can reach it from the living room and from the primary bedroom (which means you can slip out at night for a quick look at the moonlight on the water and the sound of the surf.), and we've placed some casual furnishings and a small table out there. The balcony is covered, but sunlight slants in at various times of day, so you can soak up rays or enjoy cool shade - your choice.
When it's time for indoor activity, step into the light, nicely appointed living and dining area of Sand Dollar II. Soft carpeting and comfortable leather furnishings, including a large flatscreen with cable and DVD player, await you here. The dining table is just adjacent to the living area, too, so you can set up games and puzzles here to keep the group entertained. And the view comes with you through bright windows and sliding-glass doors. This is a corner unit so you can look directly down on the pool too. The Atlantic Ocean, the Intracoastal, and the Pool are all visible from your private balcony.
Although you'll probably be dining on amazing seafood during your St. Augustine stay, when it's time to eat in, you'll appreciate how well-equipped our kitchen is. The cupboards are bursting with cookware, dishes, utensils, glasses, the works! Add a few groceries and you're all set, whether you're composing elaborate sauces and spreads or simply throwing mac 'n cheese together for the kids. You won't have to dash out to buy a colander or more cups when you stay at Sand Dollar II.
And while we're on the subject of being well equipped, the condo also offers a full-size washer and dryer for your use, so you can pack light for this trip. They are in the utility room, along with such useful items as beach chairs and other necessaries. It's so nice to stay in a fully furnished home instead of a hotel at the beach. One of the best features of this condo is the primary suite. The bedroom is quite spacious, especially considering it has a king-sized bed, dresser, and standing mirror with a flatscreen TV. One wall facing the ocean is entirely made out of glass and the other wall is a sliding glass door out to the balcony, with enviable ocean views.
The en-suite bath is a treat too. The second bathroom, shared by the other two bedrooms and the living area, offers both a tub and shower option. And all towels are provided, as well as linens for every bed. The second bedroom contains a queen-sized bed, TV, and a sliding glass door to another balcony for the intercostal and sunset views. It's roomy as well, and very restful. The third offers two full beds and another flatscreen TV. No arguing over what to watch when everyone has their own set.
Best of all, at Sand Dollar you have resort amenities in addition to the ocean and Intracoastal. A huge oceanfront swimming pool is available for splashing and sunning, and lighted tennis courts mean that you can swing the racquet in the cool of the evening. You'll love it here - the condo complex is family-friendly and beautifully maintained. Come stay at Sand Dollar II very soon.

Love Sand Dollar. Enjoyed this condo.
4.6
We decided to do a weekend getaway with another family and truly enjoyed our stay. We felt safe and the locals who lived there were very friendly. This room is right next to the pool on the very end of the building. While you can tell it is an older condo, we had all of the amenities that any modern condo would have. We were able to walk right on to the beach, which was not crowded at all. Very kid friendly and the kids were able to catch little crabs and fish at the sandbars at low tide. We even saw two tortoises and a rabbit! The pool was clean and kid friendly as well. Wide enough to where you don’t feel like you are on top of someone else. Overall we enjoyed this spot and will definitely consider checking the availability for future bookings.

We really enjoyed our stay and would come back in a heartbeat! The place is a little dated but it is really clean and well kept. You can't beat the views or convivence of being right on Cresent Beach.

This was a great home, we had a very pleasant time.

We loved the location!

Beautiful views, setting !we got to enjoy the sunrise (back porch )and sunset ( front porch )on a daily basis!

Be aware this is an older complex with only 1 elevator per building. We arrived to find the elevator out of service. My wife has bad knees and I have a sore back (we’re both 76 years old). So dealing with 4 flights of stairs was a big deal. Fortunately, we were only there for 2 nights, and were able to make it work. We actually liked the condo. Very clean, comfortable and amazing views. Just wish the management company had given us a heads up about the elevator situation with an opportunity to cancel. We feel like a rebate on the rent is justified.
4.6
Very impressed with the views and the size of the unit. Very disappointed with communication once checked in. No one had a clue what the correct code was to access the pool area and shortest access to the beach??? Had to go to the opposite end of the building to get beach access.
4.6
Great views, very cozy place. Could use some upgrades but everything was pretty well kept.
4.6
Enjoyed the property and the veiw of the beach. Very spacious and clean.

We loved the condo. Very clean and well maintained. Gorgeous view. The weather was very windy, cloudy and raining all week but still enjoyed the exceptional view from the living room. We appreciated the stocked kitchen and extra towels. Thank you for a wonderful stay. Very sad to leave but will be back!

This oceanfront unit was by far one of the best we have stayed in, especially when it came to the views! One room you can see the sunset and another room and living area, you can see the sunrise. The unit was very clean and decorated nicely. The rooms were very spacious and the kitchen was updated with everything we needed. The beach and pool were super close so this made walking easy for my 80 year old mother. Thanks for a perfect long weekend. My mom is wanting to plan a longer stay there next year. Thank you!
4.6
The condo was the perfect size for our family of five and priced well. It was clean and comfortable. The sunrise views were amazing and the beach was quiet. The property communicated very well. We enjoyed our stay very much!
4.6
The condo was large. Family loved it.
4.6
It was an amazing stay with our grandchildren. The condo view was amazing. Plenty of room for entire family. Would love to stay there again.

Really enjoyed the home and location. The key process was very difficult and the dead bolt would not release and had to call to open a lock box. Key was very hard to use and should be replaced. In take vent in hallway was filthy. Black mold inside of shower stall at hallway bathroom. Rest of the home was spotless.
4.6
Beautiful property with perfect views. Will definitely use this unit again.

Hurricane Idalia was coming at category 3 & not wanting to be stuck in 6 feet plus waves we asked for a refund. We never entered unit or checked in & believe me they don't care if there's a hurricane or an evacuation order by governor or care for your safety. They just want your money! Absolutely do not recommend Valesca is a huge VRBO company & look online Google them, nothing but bad reviews. Don't make same mistake we did!
4.6
The views of both the Atlantic and Intracoastal waterway were wonderful. The beds were comfortable. It was such a great stay...I look forward to coming back!

The apartment is bigger in person than in photos, which was a pleasant surprise. It is on one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever been to, and it was so quiet it felt like we had the entire building to ourselves. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. The sunrise from the balcony was absolutely stunning. It’s the perfect getaway. The only thing I recommend is to make sure to stop and get ice for the room on your way there, as there was no ice or cold water in the room. That wasn’t so good after a reallly hot day walking the historic side of town. Other than that, I highly recommend staying here!

We stayed with family, including two grandchildren, and this unit was perfect! It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. There is more than enough storage and it is so spacious. The laundry room is a great size and is perfect for stowing away coolers, etc. after a day at the beach. There are breathtaking views from every place in the unit; living, kitchen, dining, master bedroom, and then a great view of the intercoastal from one of the guest bedrooms. It even has a private sitting area for views of the sunset. And being an end unit just makes the views all the more better. Parking was ample and simple. The pool is literally steps away and then the beach is right there. The pool was spotless, sparkling and not crowded. We went in the busy season, July, and the beach was never crowded. We'd recommend Commander's about a mile away for some amazing, fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere. If there are babies, there are two swivel rocking chairs in the living room. We had some rain while there, but it did not matter because you still feel like you are on the beach even when inside the unit. I can't say enough good things about it. We hope to return next year! Vacasa was very communicative the entire trip as well. There was an issue with the elevator one day, and they were very responsive in relaying the information to the HOA.
4.6
The condo had a great view of the beach! Loved that the unit was at the end where we had an area to store our beach stuff. It's a 3 bedroom and there were 6 of us and felt roomy enough for all of us. Overall the condo was clean. The window areas were pretty dirty where we had to lift up the hurricane protectors to see out the windows, but not that big of a deal. Sent a couple of questions to Vacasa and although someone responded, I didn't get answers for either of my questions. We figured out how to lift the hurricane protectors, but never got a working code to get into the bathroom on the Lower level close to the pool. Despite that, it's a nice condo and would stay there again.
4.6
Our stay at Sand Dollar II was perfect! The location was nice and quiet, not crowded at all. The beach was beautiful and the views from the balcony were 2nd to none! The unit was quite large with plenty of space. We are seriously considering returning the same time next year!!! AAA+++
4.6
Clean, well equipped very comfortable, close to restaurants
4.6
Everything was great. We will be coming back. The only thing was the tv in the bedroom behind the kitchen didn't work. And I could find info on how to work it. But I didn't look real hard. Most places have book of information right on the den table.
4.6
This unit at Sand Dollar was great. The location on the beach is awesome and the views can't be beat. We loved the corner unit since it gave us views on 2 sides. The kitchen was well stocked. There were plenty of bath towels for everyone. The whole process of checking in and out was easy. Vacasa was easy to deal with when we called them. When we got there, there was only 1 beach chair and 1 beach towel. The property manager, Natasha was great. She dropped off the new chairs and towels the next day. Also, the tv in one of the bedrooms wasn't working and she called the Tech guy, Ryan, to come and fix it. He was also friendly and courteous and came promptly. We would definitely rent this unit again.
Crescent Beach is quiet. We had to get in the car to go anywhere. It was easy to get around though. Lots of places to eat either direction.
As for the online listing, I found out that they only provide 2 chairs and 2 beach towels for a home that sleeps 8. Though I didn't expect 8 of everything, I thought there would be 4. I wish they had put that number of chairs/towels they provide in the listing. I could have then planned accordingly.
4.6
We loved the house decor and the beach vibes. We have a lovely time there and the view was amazing. We visit there again for sure.
4.6
Very enjoyable. Great views.
4.6
Great views, large comfortable accommodations and full amenities.
4.6
This end unit overlooks the ocean and pools. Comfortable and nicely furnished. A little lacking in kitchen items like silverware and coffee mugs
4.6
View of the ocean from the balcony is wonderful. Because the unit is on the fourth floor and is an end unit, the views of both the sunrise and sunset are beautiful. Location is about 10 miles south of downtown St. Augustine. This makes for a quiet beach but a slight trek for dinner.
The unit itself is spacious and well appointed. Although still acceptable, it is getting somewhat dated and a refreshening of the kitchen and bathrooms would be beneficial.
Overall, a nice place to visit the beach and stay oceanfront.
4.6
From the moment we walked into the condo, we were awed by the beautiful views of the Atlantic Ocean. The front bedroom has a small patio and a great view of the Intracoastal Waterway. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen appliances were in good condition. We hope to return when the weather is more favorable for outdoor adventures.
4.6
Phenomenal! The condo was clean, comfortable, spacious, and the view was absolutely phenomenal.
4.6
The condo is well built and insulated..."Quiet" and spacious. It's better "live" than in the photo's. Our master bed was comfortable. I love that there was a full sized washer and dryer. The beach was NOT crowded! I loved the large rooms best. It's located on the corner of the building above the pool.
We flew kites on the beach with our grandson and enjoyed our stay!!!
Enjoyed the Alligator Farm, Pizza Alley (daily specials were great) in St Augustine. We were able to share a row of seats for the Nights of Lights Trolley ride with another party so it wasn't so expensive. NOTE: There are coupon magazines available at the entrances of most of the stores that will save you on food and attractions!!!
Thank you Sand Dollar II 408 for a memorable week before Christmas Holiday Vacation!
4.6
Loved being on the beach! Easy access to everything yet far enough away to relax. Had everything we needed and more! Thank you! We will be back!!!
4.6
This condo had everything we needed and more. The rooms were spacious and the furnishings were cozy and comfortable. The location was right on the beach and out of the bustle of the city which was perfect. Would love to stay here again!
4.6
Very nice layout and spacious. Right on the water and beautiful views.
4.6
My family and I loved this condo! It is so homey and welcoming. Beautiful beach right outside, chill environment, well stocked home. I wouldn’t hesitate to come back- I wish we could have stayed longer :)
4.6
Beautiful views of the sunset and sunrise.

Pros:
Property was clean and well appointed.
Building and grounds were well maintained
View of beach was awesome!
Cons:
There needs to be more than four total washcloths.
The building pool has no dedicated restrooms. You have to go back to your unit to relieve yourself.
The nearest restaurant is 7 miles away.
And the big one; During breakfast, the combo lock on the entrance door was activated and a guy just walked in un-announced. He said he was from a real estate company to take photos of the unit. About 10 min after he left, a lady who said she represented Vacasa did the same thing. How could they not know that the unit was booked, since I did it through them?
Anyway, my wife was very traumatized by these invasions of our privacy and did not feel safe staying there.
