This is a charming cottage, set in the pretty and tranquil hamlet of Caerfachell where you can enjoy peace and quiet. Traditional cottages are clustered around a small village green and the cottage backs on to a historic Calvinist chapel. An ideal location for easy access to the villages and beaches of the whole of the St David’s Peninsula.
Originally occupied by the coachman from the nearby Manor House, Trewellwell Cottage has been recently lovingly refurbished and equipped for all your holiday needs. Cosy and warm, the open plan living/dining room faces south to the front of the cottage with dual aspect windows making it light, sunny and airy. The wood burner, wooden floors and beamed ceiling all add to its charm.
Enjoy preparing meals in the extremely well-equipped and fully fitted kitchen. A selection of herbs, oils etc. are provided, as well as laundry powder and dishwasher tabs. When the weather allows, eat al fresco in the private, sunny garden. The garden is fully enclosed and level, ideal for young children and dogs. An outside tap for washing off wetsuits and a rotary washing line are provided. On the first floor are three pretty cottage bedrooms, with blue pastel decor and painted wood to invite rest and relaxation. There is also one en-suite bathroom and a separate modern shower room.
Warm and welcoming all year round, Trewellwell Cottage, provides an ideal base from which to explore - a walker’s paradise and pets are welcome too. There are wonderful walks from the door across heathland and the Pembrokeshire coast path is within 2 miles. Maps and local information about the area (including local dog walks and dog-friendly beaches) are provided for guests’ use in the cottage – as well as a selection of books, games, DVDs and CDs.
Solva, a small, quaint village with picturesque cottages and sandy harbour is a very short drive (2 miles) – with galleries, craft and gift shops, pubs and good restaurants. There is a local tearoom serving excellent homemade cakes and locally caught crab sandwiches. There is an excellent village shop and post office & off licence, which sells groceries, papers, and angling supplies. The village stores will deliver groceries on request. Buy your crabbing equipment here and try your hand at crabbing off the quayside at Solva Harbour.
St David’s, with its famous cathedral, Bishop’s Palace, galleries, craft shops and galleries, specialist shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants is also a short drive (3 miles), with outstanding Whitesands and Caerfai sandy beaches easily accessible.
