Location of the property was great for walking from the door. Lovely grade II listed period property with interesting features and history. Bedrooms sizes where great and beds were comfy. Furnishings in the whole house were lovely. Bathrooms were nicely finished and we had plenty of hot water. Kitchen was well equipped, extra fridge and freezer, washing machine and tumble dryer in basement if needed. Hope had a car park with a EV fast charger which was handy. Garden was nice but only managed to sit out once due to weather. Hope has great local butcher shop just down the road, we used that frequently. Local Spar supermarket very well stocked including local butcher's produce and COOK frozen meals, it was open daily from 7.30 am until 10 pm. Lovely Indian restaurant (doesn't sell alcohol but you can take your own and they don't charge corkage) and plenty of pubs to choose from within a short walk. Couple of nice cafés in village as well. We didn't have contact with any staff.
On street parking meant you had to hunt for parking at busy times but we always found a space not too far away.

Big house, plenty of room for a big family with two sitting areas to relax including four bedrooms and two bathrooms. Kitchen was well equipped. Location was fantastic! Close to farm shop and cafes. Super friendly neighbours :)
Wasn’t the cleanest property but also wasn’t dirty. Just a very big old house so can imagine hard to keep spotless. No parking might put some off but we got spaces on the road right outside.

The quality of the decor etc. very stylish and super warm on what was a very cold weekend.
Maybe the fact only 2 small bathrooms with 4 bedrooms.

Had all the facilities and equipment needed. Excellent location. Nicely maintained house.
No complaints and can’t think of anything else we could have asked for.

Ebenezer House is a beautiful property in a great location and perfect for exploring the local villages on foot. 6 adults stayed in the house and there was ample space for us all. The main living/dining area is spacious, comfortable and inviting with the bonus of a separate snug room. Despite the age of the house and cold, wet and windy weather during our stay, the house heated up quickly and was very cosy. There is a useable open fire in the living room. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated and have adequate storage. There are 2 upstairs bathrooms that had plenty of hot water. The kitchen is not huge for the size of the house, but is very well equipped with an additional large fridge and washing machine in the cellar. We didn’t use it, but there is also a lovely enclosed garden/seating area opposite the front door. Plenty of free parking available a short walk away. The house was clean and beautifully decorated throughout and the beds were super comfy. Lots of space in the entrance hall for muddy boots and coats and for cleaning up the dog if you bring one. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch and there is a useful, detailed guest book about the house and area.
A microwave would be an added bonus and none of us were able to connect to the Wi-Fi during our stay.
It would also be nice to have a slightly later check out. 11am-12pm would be perfect.
If arriving in darkness, the key safe is slightly tricky to locate.
