First, I will say the owner met us there and went through the property with us and was quite thorough in doing so and answered any questions I had.
It was nice having the water so close and you could walk right in. Also, the kitchen was beautiful, and beds were comfortable.
The issues we did have were things were a little run down - for instance the couch was sagging, had a tear, some of the walls needed repainting. My biggest pet peeve was the master bedroom shower it was extremely hard to get into (height) and the glass door broke and a clear curtain was put in its place and the hooks kept flying off. I also thought it was a little weird that there was no soap or shampoo for the showers. The firepit was very small, no wood or chairs around it and the outdoor furniture was way past its expiration date. I had mixed emotions about this rental but for the very expensive cost I would expect exceptional. If I had paid only a few hundred dollars for the rental it would have been fine.

I have been booking through Vrbo for our family vacations for years and I’ve never before experienced the homeowner waiting to walk us around the property. He had concerns about certain lights that needed to be shut off every night, which I understand. The first night we were there one of the lights got turned on that irritated the neighbors, the homeowner proceeded to call me multiple times past 10 PM saying they were threatening to call the police. There’s no cell phone service so I did not get the messages when eventually, I talk to him the next day I apologized and we got the light shut off. The next day he showed up needing to get in the house to take pictures. A few days later, he brought the previous owners to look at the property and walked around for about 45 minutes when you are renting your house as a vacation house and charging as much as they charge, we should be able to have a little privacy in the yard where we’re staying. I don’t feel like the previous homeowner should’ve been allowed to come and hang out on the deck while I’ve rented the house for the week.

We stayed for a short family vacation. The house was just as pictured. Everything we needed was supplied. The kids loved swimming and fishing right were we stayed!

My familly stayed at the property for a wedding in Meredith and the location and proximity to the wedding venue was perfect.
The house is huge, clean, provides every amenity imaginable and the deck and waterfront setting was ideal for a family gathering. We enjoyed having plenty of room to cook and eat together, sit out on the deck and converse and ended each evening around the fire pit with s'mores!
This property is perfect for a quiet famiy gathering but I would not recommend it for a large group of rowdy adults. There are a lot of restrictions regarding noise, cars, etc. that are strictly enforced. None of which interfered with our stay whatsoever.
Steve the owner, was great and I would definitely stay in his property again!

The host was rude and aggressive from the beginning and stormed over to the house accusing us of things that had nothing to do with our group. He showed up multiple times drunk and yelling, each time he had a handgun holstered on his belt - very intimidating as a female who rented the property. The house had numerous safety hazards - a loose board on the deck steps, hornets nests in the recessed lights, boards with nails sticking out laying on the ground by the fire pit (one of my friends actually stepped on one), exposed electrical in the bathroom, lights throughout the house were not functional, broken outdoor chairs, etc. This property was completely unacceptable and this host should be removed from your portfolio immediately.

Awesome host. Explained every detail about how to use the heating systems and different aspects of the home. The heated floors were amazing, especially for the young kids. Beautiful home I would highly recommend and stay there again!

The property was very nice property manager was very funny about how much TP he would provide.... For the cost it should not have been an issue. Otherwise stay was what we wanted nice and relaxing.
