This property has been very nicely and recently renovated and looks really nice, although you can tell the building itself is still pretty old. We loved that our family of 8 could fit easily in the space without having to use any sofa beds or cots, etc. And the AC works very nicely which was a must during the summer (although it is kind of loud). We also love the location, and we usually try to book places in this neighborhood when we visit St. Louis as it's central to a lot of sites and easy access to both highway 44 and 64/40. As a heads up, the master bedroom didn't have a lock on the door, and there are no other doors for the master bath area other than the laundry space - I know this is a style preference that some people like but we would have preferred a little more privacy in that regard. Overall I would come back to this place in the future though.

The house was perfect for our weekend trip! The host was very kind always responded in a timely manner! The home is in a great location, minutes away from forest park (which was amazing and so much fun for us and the kids). One of the children accidentally broke a window, this is the first time anything has been damaged when we were renting😅. We took care of the cost of the repair and they were super kind and understanding!

My family rented this house for the weekend. It was clean and in a great location for the zoo and botanical gardens. We had a great time.

My wife, our three adult kids, their mates and one infant stayed over a weekend in this comfortable, updated home. Plenty of room for the eight adults and one baby.
The primary bedroom downstairs features a huge bathroom with walk-in shower. Three upstairs bedrooms were comfy and shared a bathroom.
We cooked several meals in the kitchen and had everything we needed.
The location is great. About 15 minutes to downtown. 15-20 to the airport. About 15 to west suburbs.
This is a neighborhood of older, well-cared for homes. The house is completely modernized inside with new appliances and fixtures. Beautiful wood floors.
The only suggestion would be for lamp shades on the two floor lamps in the living room that had only bare bulbs and put out an unpleasant glare. (Or, put dimmers on the ceiling lights which are quite bright.)
Second request would be for a place to put clothes in the primary bedroom, where there is no dresser if closet.
Minor points in what was an overwhelmingly great stay in a large, roomy house in a great neighborhood. It’s close to The Hill, which has many excellent Italian restaurants.
Would absolutely stay here again.

This house was absolutely perfect for what we needed. It is completely renovated and we enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

Nice house in a great location. It was easy to find and get around the city. I would definitely stay there again. The house had everything you need for a quick trip or a longer stay. The one thing of note is the beds are a little too high for elderly individuals to climb into. I think a simple step stool would correct the issue. Overall, we would go back to this exact house again. We love and miss the LOU!

Such a cute house. The location was great - close to SLU, the Hill, and the highway to get to the Busch Stadium, The Arch, just to name a few. We were a party of 10 and were comfortable in the house. The neighborhood is great. We went for a walk and found a coffee/ice cream shop, an Irish pub, a BBQ place. Would definitely stay here again. 😀

Can't say enough great things about this place. We were in town for a graduation and this was a great "home base" for all of the activities. Great location. Close to everything. Plenty of space. The hosts were always quick to answer any questions we had.

We came for the weekend for a few concerts and baseball game! The property is so nice and a great location! We had a great time!

This was our fourth annual trip together - four old friends committed to staying in relationship.
The house was great. It was clean, well-stocked with linens, soaps, and whatnot. It was as advertised
We also loved the neighborhood. Seamus McDaniel’s was awesome, just five blocks away, and Eovaldi’s Deli wasn’t far, either. We stayed in one night, ordering IMO’s Pizza - again, just down the street.
Perfect place. Perfect location. I bet we will be back!

We had a wonderful time. The house was just right.

Nice property close to Forest Park and the zoo. Very easy to get downtown to other STL attractions.

We loved our visit to STL and our stay at this home in the Dogtown neighborhood. The house was one of the cleanest rental I’ve stayed in. The house was spacious for our family. There’s a large master and bathroom downstairs plus 3 large rooms (with queens) upstairs and a nice 2 vanity bathroom (upstairs). There’s an additional bathroom down next to the kitchen. The house was so well stocked. It had everything we needed to prepare our breakfasts and lunches daily. We shopped at a nearby Schnucks (Arsenal). There were also plenty of clean towels and linens. We did utilize the laundry also (because kids)!
We loved the neighborhood and ate at a nice restaurant the last day (Felix’s). The neighborhood was safe and a 5-15 minute drive to all the attractions- zoo, arch, Union station, The Hill (yummy Italian food).
Even though we didn’t use it there was a nice fenced backyard the kids could play in.
The host was very friendly and easy to get in touch with but we had no issues at all during our stay.
Would definitely stay here again for our next STL trip.

My family and I traveled to St. Louis for my birthday and was so pleased with the house and the hosts. They responded to all my questions super fast and were very nice. I would recommend this location.

Our family rented this house for a Christmas trip where we were going to the Zoo, Grants Farm, Magic house, St. Charles downtown district and Santa’s Magical Kingdom at Jellystone Park in Eureka. We wanted something centrally located between all of it, but closest to the zoo. Literally 3 mins away from the zoo which was nice. We felt very safe in the neighborhood which was a concern going in and not really knowing the area. The house was very clean with updated decor and also plenty big for our family of 10. It was well stocked with super comfortable beds! Check in/out was simple and the host was easy to communicate with. We will def stay here again.

Great place and location to visit Wash U and the zoo.

Very nice rental property close by to Forest Park, The Hill and other St. Louis attractions. The place was in excellent condition and very well stocked with things like bathroom and kitchen supplies. It's nice to get a rental that has many attributes of a hotel type property. Highly recommended.

The zoo is a 15 minute nice walk. It seemed everything else was about 10 minute drive. House is old so noisy (floors, doors). Upstairs gets a little warm. Check out is at 10 am which felt early. But overall we were very pleased with our stay.

My friends and all our kiddos enjoyed staying here for a couple days while we explored St. Louis. The house was well maintained with nice updates in the kitchen and bathrooms. The kids loved the games and books that were available at the house. Street parking right outside was convenient. Would recommend this VRBO to friends!

We had 6 adults in our family and 4 children. We filled the house.
Nice backyard, with outdoor table & 6 chairs that my wife and I used in the morning while it was still cool. There is not a large table in the house where we could all sit together and eat, but that was not a big concern for us. There are lots of options close to the house for eating out. (Milos in the Italian neighborhood, The Hill, was especially nice.)
There are at least 3 televisions in the house and an abundance of healthy house plants.
Parking is on the street, but we had 3 cars and parking was easy. No problem whatsoever.
This house is very close to Forest Park, and other highlights of St. Louis are easily accessible with the roads close by. So much for the kids to do so close to this house! Zoo is walkable, but so many very busy roads in that half mile walk that we only did that the 1st time, especially with little ones. The zoo is free and opens early, at 8:30. The Science Museum is a short drive and was a fantastic experience for the kids.
We hac one or 2 questions, and I had a very difficult time figuring out how to contact them with our phone through the VRBO system. Eventually we just used their email directly and that worked very well.
For our family of 10, a little bigger house would have been a plus. If it were possible for the owners to meet us around the time we arrived, that would have been a positive feature. But overall it was a good place for us.

The owners provided everything needed, including bath and kitchen supplies and written instructions/advice for a comfortable stay. The house is in an older part of the city, and was beautifully restored. The downside was disappointing showers because of low water pressure in the area. The house was clean and comfortable!

We had such a lovely visit to this St. Louis home. We were visiting with my extended family and children (9 & 13)- 5 adults and 2 children in all. Everyone was very comfortable and happy here- definitely enough space, bathrooms, sleeping space for everyone. The kitchen was well stocked & the coffee & tea station much appreciated. The house was very clean and looks well-cared for. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed our stay at Andy and Alyssa's home. It was a beautiful home. The main space was very comfortable and functional. The home was clean and supplied with everything we could need. The neighborhood was in a great location, plenty of street parking, and very safe.
Our only *minor* complaint is that because it's an older home some of the doors don't shut all the way. The upstairs bathroom door didn't have a working lock either. Not a big deal with family, but something we noticed.
Other than that (which is to be expected with an older home) it was a wonderful place to gather, make memories, and sleep.

Next to a lot of cool places. Nicks pub was definitely a nice surprise

We stayed a few nights here and couldn’t have been happier. It’s a beautiful, clean, old house that has been renovated well. There was plenty of room for my family of 7 (5 under 10). My brother stayed in a place near by that was not nearly as clean or nice. I would definitely recommend this place to stay.

Communication was great. It was an older home however, very beautiful and clean. My first holiday back with family was amazing. Thank you for such a beautiful experience.

The house was very nice. Everything was nice and clean. The owners were nice and answered any questions in a timely manner. It is super close to the zoo and the science museum plus other attractions. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone going to St. Louis.

Fixed up older home very well done older home with some charm and character.
Lots of amenities were included. It saved us a trip to the store to get soaps and shampoos, paper towels, and even provided some coffee and other basics. Home has lots of towels and bed linens and is very well thought out.
Check in process was super easy and honestly this was one of the best hosts I’ve ever had. Amazingly flexible with some travel changes and super responsive. They were just overall great to work with. If you’re staying in this part of town, I couldn’t recommend this one more.

We had a great stay here, visiting for a wedding. There was plenty of space (especially bathroom space, which is important with 5 adults and a baby) and everything was exactly as described and as shown in the photos. Dogtown is a great neighborhood and we had a really fun time exploring. Our hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful, even leaving us a shovel when overnight snow was in the forecast! We have already recommended this listing to several friends for when they have family in town and would absolutely stay here again.

Great location. Good bedding. Nicely updated.

We loved our stay at this property. The house exceeded expectations in cleanliness and location! Do be aware that the master bedroom does not have a door on the bathroom, not a big deal to us, but note worthy if you require privacy. The beds were SO comfortable which was a nice perk!
The only room for improvement that I can think of is that the fridge was on "replace filter" status when we arrived so made us feel a little uncomfortable with getting ice/water from the fridge not knowing how long since it had last been replaced and the hot water heater seemed to be slacking because we were never able to take any hot showers, got lukewarm at best (which made for miserable showers in the cold weather!).
All in all we would book this property again and enjoyed our stay!

From the beginning the host were wonderful! The house was absolutely beautiful and comfortable! The restaurants near was outstanding!! Would for sure book again!
