About this house rental

Imagine yourself with a glass of wine, sitting on our front porch (we call it our Tuscan veranda), watching a breathtaking sunset over Monroe Bay. Unobstructed water view, located on "The Point", recently renovated with cook's kitchen, 2 beds, 2 full baths, sleeping up to 5 guests. Beaches a short 3 block scenic walk. Bring your bikes or rent a golfcart. A variety of restaurants/bars located within blocks. Wifi included. Ample parking for cars and trailers. When we have guests in the house we occupy our RV at the rear of our 17,000 square foot property. Nothing is shared between us and our guests including amenities. Guests are closer to next door neighbors than they are to us.

The property was just as shown. Well appointed, close to water, good restaurants. The owner gave us a heads up on a local restaurant's prime rib night! Perfect.

Beautiful home with amazing views of Monroe Bay. Enjoyed lovely sunsets almost every day. We rented a golf cart to go back and forth to the beach and into town. The house was spotlessly clean and owner lives on site if you have any problems.

We all had a wonderful time at this property in Colonial Beach. At first, we wanted to get away from everything, but we realized a lot of beach destinations were a hike from civilization. We decided on this house and location because of the beautiful view, the property and it's proximity to shops and restaurants, while still be quiet. This was it!! Great service when we had questions, welcoming home, and spacious for the 2 couples that stayed. Would definitely come back!

The house was beautiful, comfortable, and it just felt like home. Everything you needed was there which made our stay more pleasant. We met the owners who were so friendly and accomodating!! We will definitely be going back!! I recommend this property 100%!!

The house, furnishings and location is perfect. The beds were comfy, the living room spacious and the kitchen was stocked with every we needed. The view of the waterfront was so nice. The front porch decorated with plants and flowers was a pleasant spot to sip your morning coffee

“Sunsets & Mermaids” was aptly named and the best quiet retreat ever. Beautifully appointed, clean and stocked with everything you would want or need in a vacation home away from home. The owner was so accommodating and helpful. I’d stay here again and again.

Have never used Vrbo before and found it very easy. Would definitely use it again. The house we rented was beautiful ... fabulous water view from front porch; layout of the house was fantastic; well stocked kitchen; great open space for entertaining; master suite was beautiful with huge bathroom. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to come back again.

This house was outstanding in every respect. It was beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, and well-designed. It came with all the amenities one could ask for. The beds were very comfortable. And the view of Monroe Bay was incredible!

You're going to love it! This is a great home close to the water, restaurants and bars. It had all of the amenities that we needed as a family of five. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch, playing games, bird watching and playing ball in the yard. The host was responsive and accommodating of our needs (even offered an air mattress for our extra kiddo)... And the home was SO clean! The beaches are a short walk or ride away! Although it is not necessary, we would recommend renting a golf cart because it made the experience so much fun!

My wife and I needed a little R&R and randomly chose Colonial Beach. We could not be happier with Sunsets and Mermaids. The house was beautiful and the view was unbelievable. Three gorgeous sunsets made our time away...a 5 star getaway.

This was our first time in Colonial Beach and we really enjoyed it. Definitely recommend renting a golf cart to get around town. The house is beautiful and in a great location close to everything. The homeowner was also great to work with and we’ll definitely be back soon!

There are many options in Colonial Beach but this one is our favorite. The front porch can't be beat and the house is really nice. Host is excellent.

Home was just lovely. Nicely decorated. Wonderful kitchen, everything one might need. Fantastic view. Inviting bedrooms with great showers. We normally go to the mountains, have to rethink that for next time. Thank you.

The front porch is where it’s at. We enjoyed our coffee in the morning and our wine in evening there. Liked that the bedrooms and baths are opposite sides of the house. Great for couples traveling together. House is in nice location, just a little bit away from town but still totally walkable (about 15 minutes). Next time we will get a golf cart to zip around in for the fun of it. We go this weekend for the Colonial Beach 5k and to visit Ingleside Winery. Had dinner at Los Hermanos and Oomboom, both tasty. Owner was very pleasant and would definitely stay here again.

Everything was great ! Beautiful view from the front deck! The house was perfect for us . Very clean and very well decorated! Loved it !!! We ate lots of great food… Went to Lennys, dockside, high tide and los Hermanos. Recommend renting a golf cart, we didn’t… But think we should have.

My family and I so enjoyed our "home" away from home during our vacation to Colonial Beach! This home is everything and more! It is nicely decorated, clean and the owners responded to our questions promptly. The view of the bay was gorgeous and we so enjoyed sitting on the porch watching the beautiful sunsets! It was a perfection vacation! Thanks to William and his wife! We will be back!

This was such a perfect place for our weekend getaway. The pictures don't do it justice- the space is so open and welcoming, lots of consideration by the hosts for making our stay comfortable from toiletries, waters at check-in, snacks and coffe/tea. The chef's kitchen was a dream to cook in, and had everything we needed. I could rave about this place- comfy beds, sparkling clean, updated bathrooms, great view right from the living room. The beach is not too far maybe a few blocks- you don't need a golf cart if you don't mind the walk. The host William was friendly and accommodating, and responded to all our questions promptly. I highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again and bring friends!
