About this house rental
No damage after the Hurricane! Power and Internet available! Located just minutes to Crystal River and Old Homosassa, this quiet neighborhood is just the spot to relax and recover. We offer a spacious backyard with a forest line, but unfortunately it is not fenced.
Important Landmarks and Locations:
Tampa International Airport with Tolls: 73 miles (Approx. 1 hr 6 mins)
Downtown Crystal River: 7 miles (Approx. 14 mins)
Three Sisters Springs (Manatees): 7 miles (Approx. 14 mins)
Old Homosassa/Scalloping Charters: 8.4 miles (Approx. 15 mins)
Fort Island Beach: 15 miles (Approx. 22 mins)
Weeki Wachee Springs: 26 miles (Approx. 33 mins)
Rainbow Springs: 26 miles (Approx. 43 mins)
About our Space: This is a completely and newly renovated house with brand new floors, kitchen appliances and bathroom vanities. It has been designed to feel cozy and to appeal to everyone to include amenities to make it feel like your home away from home. While families are welcomed to stay with us, we do not have special accommodations and specific amenities for very young/small children at this time. Please be advised and prepared to bring anything extra you might need for traveling with very young/small children. For bookings that are 2 days or less, every guest will get one towel and wash cloth, but you will have access to the washer and drier. We also have a Ring Doorbell for security and liability purposes.
For pet policy: We love our fur babies, so we offer a $0 pet deposit to host animals on site! To keep our home this way, we ask that you please pick up after your pet - dog waste outside and excessive hair. We ask you only bring well behaved animals to the property. Please be advised that any excessive pet hair on floor, linens or living spaces, accidents, or damages will result in either an extra cleaning fee (for deep clean) or to replace the item. We ask that you please do not use our towels on your pets nor wash them in the tub/shower inside. Please bring your own towels should you need it for the animals. There is NO fence around property, therefore dogs must be leashed at all times outside. We are not responsible for anything your animal might get into on the property (Cacti, wildlife, Sago Palms, etc). We request your animals have flea protection when they visit, as well. As for cats, please be responsible and bring your own scratch posts so they don't use our furniture as such, along with flea protection and proper litter box habits. We do not have any pet amenities available, so please bring all necessities with you. :)
About our Backyard: Our spacious backyard backs into an unmaintained wooded area on about a half-acre without boundaries. There is not a fence around the property currently, so supervision of children is suggested, and host does not incur any responsibility. We ask that guests do not venture into the wooded area.
Also, if working remotely, please know that the cell reception is very spotty in the town of Homosassa and the area. You will be fine if you are on our strong wi-fi, but we cannot control internet outages from the carrier (very rare).
Lastly, this is a semi-rural area with tropical climate, so there are a lot of lizards, bugs, mosquitos and other wildlife. We do spray the house for insects regularly to deter them, but cannot guarantee that they will not find their way into the house (welcome to the South!). We ask that you keep doors and windows closed at all times to limit any outside pests from getting in.
About the neighborhood: Quiet, spacious neighborhood and house with surrounding families and retirees. We know all of our neighbors and they live there full time, so guests need to be respectful with noise and trash.
Our neighbor does have pets and a few chickens (no rooster), so do not be alarmed if you happen to see or hear them when you are outside.
Also, due to the wooded area around the house, we have lots of wildlife (see "details to note" about pests). Our neighborhood is home to several Gopher Tortoises in the area, which is on the list of endangered threatened species. Please do not approach, harm or touch them if you see them.

We took our 92 year old mother to visit family and needed a place to stay with 4 bed rooms and easy access. This home worked out great one small step to enter and no obstacles inside .

The house was perfect, very clean, updated, fully stocked with everything you could ask for or need. Location was Great for us, close to boat ramps and food. Neighborhood was quiet, clean, and felt safe. We had great communication with the host and the snacks in the refrigerator and on the table were great upon arrival. Would definitely stay again and recommend. Thanks
