Rustic and accommodating. Wildlife are everywhere and almost walking distance from canoe rentals and shuttle to the river. Side note the front porch is perfect for a baggo or cornhole tournament.

Big Buffalo was just perfect! Our group of four adults enjoyed how clean and spacious this cabin was. My wife and I chose the basement area bedroom and our friend couple took the main floor bedroom. We had our own separate spaces and didn’t have to worry about disturbing each other if someone wanted to get a little extra sleep or take a nap. The hot tub was a great bonus. We spent several evenings soaking with a lot of laughs and enjoying each others’ company. Overall it was a great first time lodging in Arkansa for our group. Definitely will do this again!

Neat cabin, close to hiking and water access with beautiful views. Cabin can accomodate a large crowd and was well stocked with kitchen items and clean. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

It was a great cabin.

Cabin was a great location to where we floated at. We all had a great time until rashes on the day we checked out started appearing on the kids… we did contact Jay and he was very nice. The hot tub was dirty and do think that is what caused the rashes. We didn’t have check out instructions but did let Jay know and he knew it was something he hadn’t clicked since they had put it back on VRBO and was going to fix that.

Get together weekend with extended family. The cabin worked just fine. Looks like the owners are in the process of remodeling as bathrooms look like they just got an upgrade recently! It rained the whole weekend, so we didn’t get to hike like we planned, but it gave us plenty of inside time to chat and watch football. Living area could use more lamps (overhead glares on TV) and kitchen needs more mixing/serving bowls. We had a great time.

Overall, The Big Buffalo Cabin was great. Had everything we needed for the weekend. It was a bit odd(and loud), the way there was a hole in the main level bedroom’s closet with a fan circulating air. The cabin appeared clean, but had a bit of a musty odor(may just be the age of the cabin itself, not for sure on that). It had a beautiful wrap around porch, and nice hot tub. We also enjoyed the fire pit, but some more chairs that are around the fire pit would’ve been nice. A little pricey for a 2 night stay, but I guess inflation effects everything. The owners were very good about communicating, and it was easy to get into the cabin, as we were given a key code for the door. We had no problems with that. It’s just a hop, skip, and jump from Wild Bills Outfitters, which is where we always rent our canoes. I would stay here again with a large group. Plenty of room. But if you’re staying with “couples” and not kids, there is technically only 2 bedrooms. 3 if you want to include the small bedroom with a door in the basement. But, this is surrounded by all the twin and full beds that are more fit for kids. However, there plenty of beds in the basement for anyone that doesn’t mind to share the same room. There are also games in the basement, as well as a couch/tv area as well. Washer/Dryer bathroom, and a separate vanity in basement. Main level has bathroom as well. Upstairs is a bedroom with a queen bed and full bed(I believe, may be a twin).
We enjoyed our weekend in the cabin 😊

This cabin was absolutely perfect for our family trip to the Buffalo River. It’s tucked away in a great location close to the campgrounds and river. Loved that we could all hang out together and have our pups with us! We will definitely rent again!

We traveled with a large group of friends and family to The Buffalo National River for a weekend getaway. The Big Buffalo cabin had enough room and activities for everyone to enjoy the weekend. The hot tub was a big hit with all the kids. The adults enjoys the porch and sitting around the fire. Kitchen is small to prepare a large meal but it can be done. Jay communicated with all our inquiries and was a great host!

Our family spent 5 days at the cabin and enjoying the Buffalo River. We could not have had a better time if we tried! The cabin was big enough for us to spread out and provided everything we needed. The porch seemed to be our favorite place to spend the mornings and evenings. I was happy to find such a wonderful home to not only accommodate our group, but also our two dogs. They really enjoyed playing ball in the spacious yard! We hope to get back to the cabin in the future and will for sure visit Buffalo Point again.

The cabin was very nice, just what we were expecting from the pictures. It is set back off the road which was excellent for our dog, he enjoyed the property and all the hikes around the cabin.
There is plenty to keep everyone busy all day. The cabin was clean and updated bathrooms were nicely done, hot tub was great, and the outfitters store had the friendliest employees who were helpful.

Big Buffalo is a very clean and spacious cabin set just off the road for a little privacy. There is plenty to do outside near this area, but after a morning hike, we simply enjoyed all the amenities of the cabin itself - porch swing naps, campfire, board games, old school video games, darts and more. The cabin had all we needed to unwind and escape a little. Will certainly return!

We were looking for a Christmas get away and that’s exactly what we found at the Big Buffalo Cabin. There is no service out there but the WiFi was so fast and you could reach it even out in the hot tub. The hot tub sat 5 of us extremely comfortably and all five of us are 5’10 & taller, weighing around 170-250. The beds remind me of hotel beds, not super soft but not too hard either. We slept comfortable with our twins on the bed in the main level. The house has everything you need to cook and more for a weeks stay! The porch is beautiful and wraps around the whole cabin. There is a beautiful balcony, that I wish had chairs but we made it work with our lawn chairs. The views are beautiful and it’s so quiet out there. The house stayed extremely warm, which we found weird considering there was only 2 small propane wall heaters. It was so beautifully decorated for the holidays. The owners had hung ornaments and lights from the railing in the living room. There were Christmas decorations everywhere which was such a homey touch.
The only thing I can think of that we noticed that someone else could complain about, is the shower on the main floor. It’s super dated and the floor of the shower has been poorly sealed with sealant. And then the massive rug in the front room, appears to have never been dusted. My daughter was was walking in her walker and the rug came up and when it did, there was probably a years worth of dirt under that rug, but that’s it.
The cabin is honestly beautiful and our family completely looked past those minor flaws. There is a washer and dryer with laundry soap. (We brought our own.) The dryer does take a few times to dry some clothes but it was no big deal as well.
Jay, the owner, was so easy to get ahold of and was super welcoming. We had some issues with VRBO on pricing and Jay helped us with that. He asked us if we needed anything and although we didn’t need anything at all, I don’t doubt for a second that he wouldn’t have come and helped us with any of our needs or issues.
This cabin has a very homey feel to it. It feels safe there and super welcoming. It felt like we left our home to go to our second home. We loved it so much we plan on making it a tradition until it’s out of budget (because we believe with the upgrades Jay will make to it, it someday will be.)
My husband loved it so much, that he is planning a guys trip there with a few of his buddies to go and relax. I highly recommend this cabin!

The cabin was not cleaned very well. Cigarette butts in the ashtrays, grill was dirty, microwave was not clean, dirty socks in the bathroom, hot tub water was not drained or cleaned, dirty silverware. The basement is spooky as hell. Looks like something out of a museum or horror movie. Looks like all the maw maws in yelville quilted the ceiling and the beds lined up like a 1970s children's foster home . If you hate your kids throw them in that dungeon. I promise they will straighten up. The cabin is just old which is fine, but it could be so much nicer and cleaner. It's very dark with poor lighting. Regardless, we made the best of it and enjoyed our time.
