We enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. There is a short traverse to reach OK to reach Powder River a groomed blue ski run.

This home was a fantastic base for our ski vacation at Big Sky. Comfortable accommodations, and we appreciated the heated garage for our gear and to get the ice/snow off our vehicle. The ski-in route is pretty easy, but in most conditions you have to arrive from the top of the Iron Horse or Six Shooter lift. Ski-out is very easy to the bottom of Iron Horse, which allows you to get to most of the resort. We had an issue with our bathroom light, and they tried to fix it, though we were without that bathroom for a couple days because it was pitch dark. Management was apologetic. Hot tub was super nice, and the home overall was very easy to use. Our kids loved the little fort/cubby space up in the loft area (not featured in the listing)! Thanks!

The house is exceptionally clean, comfortable and well appointed. The great room had an excellent view, comfortable seating and a beautiful wood burning fireplace that worked well with lots of firewood in the nearby garage. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and was very clean. The grill was clean and worked well despite the handle falling off. When we arrived after dark the lights were on and the house was warm. There was even a basket of snacks, coffee and a bottle of wine. We all enjoyed amazing sledding on the cross trails only a few hundred yards away. All TVs and the internet worked well. The only thing missing is a foosball, hockey or pool table to entertain the kids. It is very easy to give this rental five stars and we hope to return.

Wonderful President's Week Stay
The Mountain Home is as advertised and in a wonderfully proximate location to Iron Horse. We had two families leveraging ski in/ ski out for the entire Presidents week and easily got the kids to Madison Base lessons each morning. Highly recommended.

Excellent Location - Spring Skiing at its Best
Powder River Chalet was fantastic!! We had 2 families (4 adults, 5 teens) stay at this house. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kids loved being able to ski out/in to the house for lunch everyday. The kitchen is perfect to cook meals and has everything you need. We used a grocery delivery service so it was easy to unpack and start enjoying the views. Moonlight Lodge is a short drive around the corner but in the summer an easy walk down the back hill. Thank you for the arrival email with all of the pertinent information we would need while staying there. We can't wait to come back to Big Sky next year.

What a great house!
What a great house - great location for skiing - a short downhill ski to the Iron Horse Lift. From there you can ski either the Moonlight or Big Sky side of the mountain. We loved the open first floor plan and the house had plenty of accessories for a great stay. Our kids loved the toys and books in the loft; there were family games and other books in the living area, and we were able to cook easily with a fully stocked kitchen (of utensils, pans, dishes, etc). The house is right on the slopes so we could eat lunch at the house each ski day and get right back out. After skiing, we enjoyed a fire in the living room fireplace and the hot tub - perfect ski days - you don't need to leave the house unless you want to go out to dinner! Every bedroom has a bathroom so everyone enjoys their privacy while sharing this beautiful home. We'll be back!

Great Home for Skiing Vacation
Located just above Moonlight Basin lodge, this home is a great Ski in/out location at the end of the street. Well appointed through out the bed/bath layout is well done. Kitchen is setup very well, great views, good hot tub, ample space in all bedrooms and loft. Wood fireplace was rather nice and the oversized single garage holds a large SUV easily. Would highly recommend this to friends and we will return at some point. Note: If you miss the 4pm lift closure at Moonlight Basin....enjoy your uphill snow hike with skis about 80' (altitude) to get to the home. It's a good workout.

The Perfect Home Away from Home
We were very pleasantly surprised when we got to house. Pictures are one thing but to see that the home was every bit as exceptional as represented was just perfect. The house was beautifully furnished, very clean, well stocked, and had gorgeous views off the back deck. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of towels were provided. It was a bonus to have the washer and dryer in the house. We enjoyed the hot tub many nights. We also used the grill quite a bit as we only ate dinner out twice during the time we were there. We spent most days touring Yellowstone and doing other activities that by dinner time we just wanted to go "home" to crash. Acra left a nice little welcoming package with some snacks and pamphlets for things to do. It was the perfect place to spend our vacation and we would rent this same home the next time we come back to Big Sky. A+++ : )

AWESOME Big Sky Vacation Rental!
Excellent property, exceptional service!
We worked directly with Moonlight Luxury Rentals and Acra Samuels, the owner/property manager. Acra was prompt, courteous, friendly, and provided a complete vacation experience.
The unit itself is a freestanding, well appointed mountain home just a few short walks to the slopes. When there's snow on the road, you can "ski in" from the run, but you have to walk about 150' (short and easy) to access the actual slope itself from the house.
The house was well stocked with every modern convenience, appliance, and even was "child proofed" if anyone wants to take toddlers or young children. There was even a stash of toys in the upstairs loft!
The price was very fair and reasonable in compared to all of the other units on Moonlight as well--I think we saved a few bucks renting direct from Acra!
We like this place so much, we already put our deposit down for next year.

A Great Family Experience
We rented this home for 4 nights, and had a blast. The ski-in/out was perfect for gaining access to Moonlight Basin, and was extremely convenient too. The house is furnished beautifully, while making us feel right at home. The hot tub is a major plus after a long day on the mountain, and the garage is even heated for your ski boots. Definitely a great experience, and we will definitely be renting it again when we return.
