Terrible customer service in numerous areas such as reception and dining by many staff members. An excessively long wait for the room to be prepared and guests who arrived after us were serviced ahead of us. Certain waiters didn't even provide the special menus we were entitled to due to the level of resources we paid for for.

Well above my expectation. Has to be one of the nicest hotels in Marbell. Excellent location and service was second to none. Highly recommended. Not cheap but worth the money !

The information on the web site regarding different rooms are not accurate. We reserved a room with City View (important to have open view) and what they offered us was a room with wall view about 15 ft of an old and ugly building. When we explained that we expected a city view and they said rudely that “This what we mean by City View”. We were very tired after driving for many hours and the front staff not very welcoming and telling us that you can cancel if you like. Totally unexpected from a five star hotel. The Concierge staff NOT helpful at all and really not experienced to be a concierge staff. Polite but NOT helpful at all.

Beautiful hotel close to both the Passeo and to Orange square. The staff are very attentive and the hotel is spotless. The sunbeds are very comfortable around a lovely pool. Breakfast is stunning as well

We had a leak in our room dropping water on our floor from the room upstairs. It took one hour and a half for our bags to get to our room after we checked in. You have to go from pool to pool to find towels. Then you have to find your lounge chairs, open heavy umbrellas yourself and position them yourself without assistance. It can take 30 minutes, especially at the upstairs pool to have someone come to take your drink order. Then you wait….

The property is beautiful, very convenient (very close to the Old Town). The breakfast buffet was very good with lots of options to choose from. I just wish that the property would provide some entertainment in the evening other than singers singing quietly. It is very quiet in the evening so you will need to leave the property if you want to have a little more lively evening. I am not young but it was even too quiet for me. Also, the pool closes very early in the evening…I didn’t understand why because there are 3 pools on site and the Adult Only pool was far from the bedrooms windows so noise would not have been a issue. Such a shame.

My stay was perfect! The location is beach front and so close to old town and not too far from Puerto Banus. Staff was friendly and so welcoming despite my poor spanish. Cannot wait to go back!!

Very nice hotel location across from the beach, testaments and shops. Several nice pools in hotel. An easy access to beach across the street from hotel and private hotek beach section w food and beverage service. Nice ocean view from room, bathroom could use some update/ upkeep. Overall customer service good and attentive.

This is an incredible property, with the best staff I encountered on the whole trip. Highly recommend booking the ‘selected suites’. It allows access to a lounge with unlimited drinks and snacks, as well as a visit to the hydrotherapy spa daily. The suite itself was perfect. Comfortable bed, luxurious bathroom, and amazing views. Breakfast was terrific as well. 10/10

Nicely renovated and overall felt clean and comfortable. Many aspects of the service were excellent but we had to call multiple times to ask for a power adapter which never arrived. We also issues with our request to assist in connecting casting which was not working. The temperature of the shower also fluctuated significantly which was frustrating. Overall we enjoyed our stay as the breakfast was great and pool deck had lots of chairs and wonderful access to the walkway.

This hotel is the best in Marbella! From the second we arrived to the second we checked out, our experience was second to none. This is a true 5 star hotel and is truly exquisite. The Hotel offers an excelent service, they have lots of sun beds, outside sitting area for dining, drinking and snakes, they have outdoor heated swimming pool, the have fantastic breakfast with lots of smiling and service minded staff, the hotel is situated right at the walking promenade with lots of shops and restaurants, and just a few minutes walk from the old city with lot of atmosphere. The hotel beach restaurant serves excellent food right on the beach. I can recommend this hotel. I stayed in many hotels around the world and this one is value for money in my opinion.

Hotel is absolutely fantastic. We originally booked 4 nights but extended for an additional 3. The sea view rooms are incredible. Special thanks to Roberto on reception for helping us extend our stay. Food and cocktails are great. The Select lounge has a very good choice of complimentary snacks and alcoholic beverages. We will definitely be coming back. The only thing to note was some of the tiles around the pool were extremely slippery I know they were changing these one during our stay. But the steps leading down to the toilets by the pool when wet these are very slippy and a family member fell down these. From conversations this happened to others also, so that possibly needs to be looked at.

Outstanding design of this histroic hotel/place. Wonderful hotel with incredible breakfasts and great facilities. The pools were lovely - beach is small and peppley but nice all the same. Front desk staff could be more helpful - especially when managing late check-outs or a room to change in if you have a late flight and in communicating the car park charges! All in all - it was wonderful and I will definitely return!

Hotel Fuerte is a fabulous hotel. Some of the highlights during our stay were as follows:(1) Reception staff were exceptionally courteous and helpful - when we arrived (early) and our room wasn't ready they gave us complimentary drinks (2) Feurte's location is one of the best in Marbella - closest hotel to Marbella Old Town while also fronting onto the promenade and seafront - ideal (3) Staff overall were very courteous and professional throughout the hotel - we would like to mention Yvonne particularly who greeted us every day/evening with a smile and a brief chat (4) The hotel is spotless - well done to the cleaning staff (5) The comfort in the hotel was excellent - we slept particularly well on very high quality beds and the room layout was very well designed -would recommend people go for a partial/full sea-view (6) The buffet breakfast is fabulous (7) We'd recommend trying the buffet dinner too, which was very reasonably priced also (8) There was entertainment (live music) 3 of the 6 nights we stayed - which we enjoyed having as an option to stay in the hotel some nights The availability of lighter/smaller snacks though would be welcome in the Pinetree ClubOverall the attention to detail was excellent and the staff fantastic - The hotel we were informed is being refurbished for a year between now and 2022 - we will be returning to the El Fuerte again and really looking forward to the changes they will make as they will probably only enhance the hotel even further
