The hotel is old. The heating unit takes a while to work. The workers are nice. The view of the battle ship is nice.

The room was a bit small, the decor was very nice. The view of the river was beautiful. Great location on the river walk, and one block from Front Street. Breakfast was awesome. The sink in the bathroom was way too shallow. It was very awkward to rinse a tooth brush or put water in a cup. If the faucet was higher it would have been ok. The rooms do not have refrigerators. We always use them when we travel.

We didn't expect to haul our own luggage to the 5th floor in a Luxury Hotel. Parking lot was behind the hotel and creepy on night of arrival. Our bathroom smelled of urine and the sink didn't drain. Night time housekeeping got rid of the smell but couldn't fix sink. Late supper in hotel restaurant was fair at best. Hilton wouldn't adjust our rates because of third party reservation. They gave us free parking and a restaurant coupon instead. Second day the sink was fixed but the smell was back as was the cleaning crew. Management was supposed to call and address these issues with us but never did. Nighttime assistant manager offered us a free night to give them a chance to make it up to us, but haven't received it yet. Breakfast was good though.

Room floor was dirty and the bathroom fixtures had alot of dust. Hair dryer was sticky. The two drinking glasses were dirty with previous user's lip imprints. Had to hold down toilet handle to flush. Toilet seat had some type of residue that required cleaning. Interior door knob of bathroom came off when simply turning it to close. The space between the sink faucet and sink basin was so narrow you couldn't fit hands under faucet for proper hand washing. Also couldn't get a water bottle under faucet to refill. Hot water in shower randomly became scalding hot. Waited 40 minutes for our dinner in the restaurant for a burger and shrimp tacos even though we were one of only two tables. The other table only got an app and dessert. People at bar were complaining that no one was at bar to tend, saying, "Doesn't anybody work here?" We only saw one waitress who was also bartending for the whole restaurant. Breakfast service was much better. Server was very kind and pleasant and so was the hostess. Sadly, the French toast was overcooked and burnt on the edges. We prepaid for a buffet breakfast but we find out only the buffet was available on the weekend. 20% gratuity automatically charged for meals. We had very high expectations but we're greatly disappointed. We are current and former professionals in the hospitality industry - travel agent and chef with 33 years experience. No shuttle for local theatrical venue. Walked 5 blocks to and from venue.

Lovely hotel, wonderful view. One issue-no refrigerator or microwave in the room. If you are staying for multiple days, it would be quite inconvenient. Otherwise, nice clean room, great beds.

Very disappointed in this hotel. Didn’t match pictures online. Paid for room with “historic” view, picture below of actual view much different. Room was in need of maintenance. Bathroom shower time Very old and windows need to be replaced. Bartender extremely rude. Asked for cups of ice with a large purchase of other things, told there are ice machines on the floor. If it’s not working call for maintenance. Expected a lot more from this property. Many other better choices in the area.

$760 for 2 night stay. The lobby smelled of sewage. Broken shower head, broken make-up mirror & the safe did not work. When we called to switch rooms the staff was very receptive. But, they explained the safe batteries are no longer being made & they have no accounting for which rooms have functional safes. It is obvious that Hilton is suffering financially as they are letting their hotels deteriorate. We are “ Honor” members & have elected to switch to other hotels.

The staff was very nice. Our room had many issues. The toliet would not flush and the shower had to be fixed in order to turn off. The bed creaked so loudly it woke us up.

Our room was right next to the stairs. It was extremely loud until late/early into the morning. At 915, housekeeping knocked on my door and asked if I was checking out. I said ‘yes’. 15 minutes later they knocked again. Annoying as hell.

Our stay was average. The mattresses could use an upgrade. I was surprised it was lacking comfort for this grade of Hotel. The outside area was lovely, but no one kept up with wiping tables, especially cigarette ashes.

The hotel was very nice, upscale. The staff were very nice. Gated parking was easy to access. There is a large gap over the threshold of the door - assuming that the rooms used to have carpet and now are laminate - but the external room doors are very loud when they shut and this large gap allows for all sorts of noise to filter into the room. You can hear every conversation outside in the hall and when every door on the floor shuts. This makes for lots of waking up when there is activity in the hallway outside of your door.

Kinda old . In the bathroom the hand towel holder fell off when you touched the towel and it was held together with toilet paper wrapped around the inside bracket ….gross . We had a king size bed with a river view, pricey. Outdated and cold feeling , not decorated to look appealing.

Friendly staff. Hotel is right on the river walk. Great view of the Battleship from our room. Within walking distance of great restaurants and shops downtown. 20 minute drive to Carolina Beach

The handle for the shower was broken and there was no way to get anything but nearly like warm water. Also no rooms have refrigerators so very problematic for a diabetic with insulin to keep cold.

It's a nice area, but I have been a Hilton Honors member for years. I am not used to this many irregularities in a room. I was very disappointed, and the network was out for ESPN. They only had one TV at the bar. An excellent modern facelift could make the hotel exceptional. It was on an upgraded motel level.

We had a nice view, but right outside our room was an enormous chiller. It sounded like a freight train all night. We did not ask to move because we wanted the river view, but next time we will ask for a room on the south side. The bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in in a ver long time. The hotel bar was nice. The coffee bar was great too!

Overall the stay was enjoyable. The live music on Friday evening was a pleasant surprise. The food was very good at the Board & Barrel. The room was sufficient. No fridge or microwave was disappointing.

Arrived at hotel. Hotel had lost our reservation. Took 45 mins to check in at 9pm. Booked a double bed room. Was given a king room. No mini fridge or microwave. Large roach in hallway. Very loud, could here rooms right next door having a conversation.

This hotel seemed like the kind of place that used to be really nice, but it's now kind of drab and shabby. The hotel room was kind of dirty and old (dead bug smeared on the door, peeling paint, we could see a bottle of pop in the shaft behind the air vent, etc. But the hallways smelled of bleach. It was fine.

This hotel is conveniently located to the river walk, with tons of dining and nightlife within easy distance, you wouldn't ever need a car. The property was modern, the service excellent, everybody friendly. Would recommend without hesitation.

We've stayed at this hotel twice now and we would definitely come back. There are many options in the area but we love the location, you're able to see the Battleship and water views and also super convenient to walk around to the many awesome restaurants and shops! Hotel staff is friendly, we hadn't used the pool either trip but looked nice, clean and was being used by others. Highly recommend :)

Great hotel, friendly staff, walk to everything and it was nice and cold in the room while it was very hot and humid outside. Beds were comfortable, room was quiet, cute bar on pool level overlooking Cape Fear.

Well, for 1st the hotel window had the view of the river, but the middle main. Linda was blocked because of the fuzzedness. It should have been replaced, and the jail in the shower was gone empty

The Hotel overall is pretty good. The location is awesome and right on the water close to all the shopping, restaurants and riverwalk. The staff were all very friendly. The rooms were clean and the beds were comfy. My only complaint is that the walls are very thin and you can hear the people in the room right next to you (the hotel is older so I guess this is probably why).

Enjoyed everything about our stay im Wilmington. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to most everything in the downtown historic area. The room was very clean with a great view, comfortable bed and AC that kept the room nice and cool. Staff was all very pleasant and friendly. Would definitely stay here again
