Everything was wonderful.

This will be most likely be our last stay in Le Meridian as it was a complete disappointment to brand Marriot.
First night started with the room that had a sewer smell and after complains we we shifted to another room. The next morning at the breakfast the staff was very non chalent and deliberately chose to ignore our table to take orders. This was after our table was taken by another frech speaking guest when we were getting food from buffet and the waiter after chitchatting with the guest decided to play discreet with us. Anyways no hard feelings for the staff but it really shows the poor management and the training given to them.

The staff was rude, the pool was in a bad location. The room was average. Not worth 650 a night.

I had a sea front room and it was magical to wake up to that view. The room was comfortable and the srea around has everything . The added perk was the Casino right next door.

The bed was hard and had bed bugs. Not sufficient lighting in the room.

Great stay

The hotel is well appointed and in a good location. But, following an evening flight cancellation, it was a distress purchase and over £500 for a bed for one night. So poor value

Property is overpriced. We got to our room and the welcome card has the wrong name on it, Bathroom is visibly dirty, TV is broken and latch to doorway is also broken. Pool is only open until 6PM and very very small 5 chairs only to accommodate the hundreds of guests at the the hotel. Unacceptable. No parking. No included airport shuttle or car service it’s €50 for their concierge to arrange our airport ride. Uber is less than €20….to the airport.
Water is €7 a small drink. The bike and scooter rentals are €55 minimum for a day rental and they only have 4 bikes and 2 schooters, none with seats for kids. For the dates of over €775 per NIGHT. You expect things to be in good working condition. I highly recommend staying at another place many comparable locations with more friendly services. At this place I felt a ripoff.

Great service

The hotel is located right in the center of Nice’s major water front street. There are tons of restaurants and other services nearby. It also has multiple car rental companies on the ground floor so customers can rent cars right there. The main transportation that we used was by train which is about 16 mins of walk north of the hotel. It was safe, and the ocean looks fantastic. The only problem that we ran into was, on our checkout day, it was the start of Le Tour de France and the street was blocked for bikers. We could not get any taxi or Uber to pick us up and the hotel staff did not offer any help to customers to move our luggages to a location that was accessible to taxis. Overall people in Nice are colder than other tourist spots and don’t want to offer any help to other people.

You can’t beat the view from the ocean side rooms. The hotel is in a very central location between old town and beach. It was getting a (needed) exterior face lift and a casino was being constructed on the ground floor while there, but the inside was up to (or above) Marriott standards.
Of note: The pool area is much smaller than it seems in the photos. Its like the original pool deck was usurped by the patio bar, which makes it weird and very cramped. But you’ll want to be at the beach anyhow.

Great hotel and conveniently located. Hotel is not on the beach but located across the street. The pool is very small and not a lot of space around it to sit or keep your belongings there. Has a beautiful restaurant and bar.

Very rude staff, reception staff was so bad that I could not believe it is a Marriott. Marriott should take their name away from this property

Location is very good. Right on the Prom. de Anglais beach road. Old town is 10 min walking away. Street restaurants in the back of the hotel.
Good breakfast with good views of the Promenade. Terrace bar and restaurant have probably the best views in town. Must try.
Rooms are fine, standard American size. Avoid "courtyard" rooms, the view is depressing - this is half of the hotel. About only a quarter of the rooms have view, not clear how you can book them. The carrot thing.
Service is spotty. Do your own planning and booking for tours etc. The concierge is open only from 10:30 to 15:30 - when you are not in the hotel, hopefully having fun somewhere. When concierge is not there, the front desk offers no help; when it is there competency is an issue. The train they booked for me never showed up, we ended up wasting half a day in the station. Not fun. Did not even get an apology.
Check out the smaller hotels in the blocks behind with nearly the same access to things.

Great position close to everything, within walking distance to everything too. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Excellent, if not fabulous location. But so are the other top luxurious hotels in close proximity. If you are already quoted and can afford the 750-850EU a night range at Le Meridien, add 100-150 Euro more and you will experience a complete different experience at the other luxurious hotels in the area. Le Meridien Nice scores as average hotel in decor, service and cleanliness, Way too expensive for what it offers, if you compare with very close by luxurious hotels.

At the promenade and very central, with a beautiful view of the ocean and garden. Highly recommend this property for Nice!
The public transport - bus and tram is at a reasonable walkable distance.

Le Meridien is the perfect spot to stay in! It's location is near all the major attractions in Nice (Old Nice, Place Massena, the Beach front, etc.) It's also near a lot of delicious restaurants. Transportation is also really easy to access near the hotel.
In addition, the staff were all kind and friendly. Bonus points because we were able to check-in early and received many recommendations for sites to visit in Nice. Our room was also cleaned everyday and we were given extra water.
I would book again in this hotel if I return to Nice and will recommend it to all my friends and family.

My husband and I really liked how it was so close to the beach. We enjoyed a day there and it was lovely!
We liked the rooftop terrace where we sat in the sun and had drinks.
We did the spa and that was so lovely!

Very easy to go everywhere in Nice .1 min to beach .
3.0 / 10.0
Standard room was not really big enough for 3 beds
My sons were cramped and not enough storage for 3 large boys
Not too much of a problem as only stayed 2 nights
However would pay more for a better room for them if staying again
We had a deluxe sea view room for ourselves
View was amazing
Both rooms very clean
However AC was next to useless and very loud
Again we were staying early April so not that hot in Nice but would be an issue in hot summer months
Not enough complimentary teabags supplied throughout stay
Our deluxe room was not ready on arrival
These are not complaints only critiques
Hotel is in a great position on the Pronenade des Anglais
Views from the front are amazing
Roof top pool area very nice
Rooms clean

I was disappointed with my recent experience when I was told I had to order a drink worth €25 to stay in the lobby due to a street carnival. This was ounexpected, and it left me with a negative impression. I hope such policies can be reconsidered for a more pleasant guest experience.

Just had a lovely stay at Le Meridien in Nice. Very well appointed hotel and perfectly situated close to the center of town and Vielle Nice. The added bonus was the heated rooftop pool and stunning views from the rooftop bar/restaurant. We were upgraded to a huge room with a balcony that had a partial view of the water and loved the comfort of the bed. I'd highly recommend this hotel to anyone and would definitely stay here again.
