The building and the suite were stunning! Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is excellent
But the attentions and service from Joseph the concierge were amazing great human being

After all the pomp and ceremony you encounter upon walking into the hotel you really feel as though you’re entered a place of class…only to be sorely let down when you go up to your room. Our room could have been in the travel lodge except the air conditioning was unreliable…it was around 19 degrees the night we stayed and the room was stifling. ‘Engineering’ came to our room but fundamentally it was a broken system. Secondly, we booked an accessible room which had a shower over the bath. So whilst there were red cords everywhere that you could pull, you couldn’t have a shower. Extremely misleading. The room cost over £300 per night and I really was not expecting such a cheap hotel experience.

Most of the staff at this hotel are top notch and it's a gorgeous property. But my mornings were miserable. There is supposed to be a coffee shop along with the main breakfast served in the restaurant. On two of the days the cafe was closed and was directed to coffee being served in the bar. On both those days when I entered the room and found the coffee pitcher empty, when I asked for it to be refilled the staff treated my request like I was asking for them for a great important favor that I didn't deserve. Final morning, I decided to try the main restaurant and all the hot items on the buffet were cold, and the service was terrible. Recommend the hotel but just go off property for coffee and breakfast.

The air conditioning did not work well, room was never very cool
4.6
Nice hotel but my room was very noisy all night from some pipe outside the window. It was like sleeping in a noisy factory with that sound.- so it was absolutely not worth the money spend on a good room on 7th floor. And the reception staff did not bother when I told them about the noisy room.
4.6
Room was very very small
Air conditioning didn’t work
Staff were terrific
Will not stay again

Excellent hotel, walking distance to The British Museum. The staff were very friendly, the hotel was extremely clean and quiet.

Perfect stay at a wonderful London hotel. Well located and felt nice & luxurious. Wonderful staff and amenities. Lovely complementary drinks as well.
4.6
Main area always closed due to private events. Very inconvenient And poorly communicated
4.6
Clean, renovated, good traditional appearance.
Too crowded and not well organized. Difficult to fit into dining areas. Loud music till late hours. Very tight space in the room which is common for the UK establishments.
4.6
Newly renovated Imperial luxury. High ceiling, marble staircase, gold, dark wood and pedigree.
All good.

Beautiful hotel, excellent service, great location, delicious breakfast! Everything was perfect!

Great location and an elegant hotel.

This is a lovely hotel! The interior matches the exterior. The rooms are well maintained considering how old the building is. Bedroom is a good size; bathroom a bit small, but spacious shower; overall decor is beautiful.
I had an issue with my room, which they remedied immediately and went above and beyond to make the rest of my stay enjoyable.
The social hour is a really nice touch. Every single person I encountered was so pleasant and accommodating.
The location is not in the busiest part of town, but this is preferable. Ubers will pick you up right out front and there are several accessible train stations (closest one is on the same corner).
Highly recommend this hotel. Can't wait to try at another Kimpton.

Truly did SO MUCH research in our first time to London visiting from the States. Debated between many hotels and ultimately chose this one for vibe accessibility. We wanted something that felt like England (not just another copycat hotel) but wasn't the super boutique pricing either. This was perfect! It's in a BEAUTIFUL building inside and out and felt very special. We got best of both worlds here, with the old English feeling of the building, but with modern rooms. The bathrooms are HUGE and staff was accommodating. Beautiful cafe attached to grab coffee every morning, a park across the street, easy access to tube and the bar was a fun vibe (although expensive.) Really happy with our stay and so glad we ended up here.

Carlos at the front desk was awesome.

Beautiful hotel, great staff and service

We arrived at the hotel at 3pm, which was the check-in time and were told that our room wasn’t quite ready. An hour later it still wasn’t ready so we enquired at the Guest Relations desk. A very helpful lady went to investigate and when she returned, she apologised for our wait and said that they had upgraded us to a suite. It was the most beautiful suite we’d ever seen and we really appreciated this gesture. We will definitely be returning (but probably to a normal room!)

Overall our stay was good, but there were a couple of instances where the staff lacked professionalism. For example, do not ask the concierge for a taxi. The price of the ride to the airport was more than initially quoted. An Uber (and I hate to say it) would have been better.
4.6
I particularly like the overall darker decor tone in the public space. Authentic, but not too stuffy.
4.6
The hotel building is on a historical site. It is exactly what I expected, with a comfortable pretty room, and excellent service. All the staff were friendly, courteous, and extremely helpful.
The location is perfect, facing Russell square, and a street block from Russell Square tube station. This makes it very convenient for travel around London.
The breakfast option is worth it - the selection was great.
I had a very nice time, and look forward to my next visit.

Hotel was very nice. Great hotel gym. Only complaint is that the room was super small and the Queen size bed was definitely not a Queen size. Felt more like a full size.

As a seasoned traveler who frequents high-end hotels and resorts, I must say my recent experience at the Kimpton in London was truly exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the level of attention and customer service exceeded all expectations. As a solo traveler, safety and comfort are paramount, and the staff at went above and beyond to ensure I felt both secure and pampered throughout my stay.
One particular highlight was the unexpected upgrade to a suite, which made me feel like royalty in the heart of London. The spacious accommodations and luxurious amenities truly enhanced my experience, making it difficult to leave at the end of my trip.
I can confidently say that I would return to London just to stay at Kimpton London again. The impeccable service, attention to detail, and overall atmosphere made it a standout among my travels. If you're looking for a truly memorable and indulgent stay, look no further than Kimpton Fritz in London.

A great hotel with super staff.
4.6
The hotel, staff, food, and drinks were all top-notch. The wine at social hour is always a nice Kimpton touch. The only reason I am not giving this a 5 star rating is because every morning I’d wake up with a sore back. It was something with the bed (maybe it was almost too soft?). I just couldn’t get comfortable.
The food a the restaurant, Fitz’s, was really good as well as the bar at Fitz’s - it had a old bar/pub feel to it and the live music made it better.
The hotel is 2mins from the Russell Square station. My favorite part about this hotel is it seemed to be more in a residential-type area, meaning we didn’t see many tourists.

I have pleased to be here.
All the staff members are similar to family.
If I will come to England, I will stay at this hotel.
Thanks for all the staff members.

We had the most incredible stay overnight for my husband’s surprise 60th birthday
The hotel was beautiful enough but Angela in guest relations arranged for balloons, cake, champagne and an upgrade
It was just brilliant
