Very central, classic hotel. High quality and comfortable. Service could have been better. Luke warm breakfast food and substandard serving of breakfast drinks at the table. Waited so long for help with luggage I carried it up and down flights of stairs myself . Room TV broken and couldn’t be fixed or replaced Other than that , a very nice stay, but could be better value for money

Very 'Oxford' style hotel. A little wear & tear in my single room. Room was a little too warm for my liking and opening the window was quite tricky for fresh air (no airco - or at least airco not working at this time of year). Rusty and leaking kettle in the room.
4.3
This is the best hotel in Oxford.
The location is excellent and all the service and history is fun and amazing. The restaurant is also very good.
4.3
Love the desk, pad of paper and decor. Great location, wonderful bar. A true Oxford experience!
4.3
I had a room next to a restaurant outside speaker - full marks to the lovely people on reception who called them and ask them to turn it off as there were no guests at the tables outside. This was greatly appreciated.
Breakfast and the drawing rooms were wonderful.
A very enjoyable family stay.
4.3
The hotel was wonderful. Great staff, comfortable room, and amazing location

Excellent service. Very well situated for walking the sites in Oxford.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We look forward to next time.

A wonderful stay at the Randolph in Oxford. Pleasant and efficient staff. Comfortable, lovely room, great location convenient to the bus station at Gloucester Green and the Magdalen stop, plus main sights like Sheldonian Theater, Radcliff Camera, etc. Hotel is just across from the Martyr Memorial too. Also short walk to Christ Church College & Cathedral. Enjoyed the hotel's connection with the Morse TV series. Only negative was the fire alarm activated by some Rolls Royces in the hotel garage (fancy cars in for the Salon Prive auto show at Blenheim Palace), but hotel handled the situation quickly. Breakfast buffet in the pleasant Alice Restaurant at the hotel was delicious. Would highly recommend the Randolph.
4.3
Fabulous hotel, only issue was the street noise which made sleeping difficult.
4.3
Need to inform guests to pre-book valet service.
4.3
Loved our overnight stay. The shower arrangement was not very good in our room but no other complaints.
4.3
Always wanted to stay here since the Morse series.
4.3
Great hotel. Superb decor and ambience. Good food. Helpful staff.
4.3
Lovely welcome by the staff at reception. Clean room with very comfortable bed . Great location in the centre of Oxford . Would stay again .

I liked the historic aspect of the place and how well it has been maintained. The staff at the desk was also excellent. Of course the lobation was terrific.
On the negative side. I’m not sure if the hotel had air conditioning. I don’t think so. If so, it was ineffective in my room.
4.3
A gorgeous hotel with beautiful interiors and very friendly staff.
4.3
Nice spacious and comfortable

Stunning hotel in excellent hotel. Our room ended up pretty much in the back of the hotel but it was still a stunning and large room even though it was their basic rooms

Beautiful hotel in Oxford.

Somewhat to our dismay we were given a disabled room without a bath. It was more like a wet room. Our view overlooked the aircon system. The room was comfortable, well-decorated but far too warm. The air conditioning didn't work properly (it was not possible to turn the temperature below 19 degrees) and the towel rail was left on. (It was more than 30 degrees outside) We had to use the portable fans 24 hours non-stop in order to keep the room cool. The television system did not work properly. For the first two days we were unable to get BBC1, 2, ITV or Channel four. On the last day we were able to receive these channels but with no sound. We had to use subtitles.
The staff were extremely helpful and polite. I was a little concerned about reception - which could be chaos. Security concerned me as people could walk in and up the stairs unchallenged.
Breakfast: book in advance to save £6 per person. Food good but expensive. A service charge of £2 in the bar is a little steep when the drinks were already over priced. Tables in the bar area were very slow to be cleared.

Amazing - very kind team and they let me check in early and check out late! I used to work at the basement bar as a student 27 years ago! So good to come back and stay here… great memories 🙏
4.3
Charming hotel . Rooms were very cold when we arrived late evening and bed a little uncomfortable but its location and atmosphere are great

Hotels.com emailed me regarding my experience of checking and I gave several areas of concern at beginning of stay. The hotel was contacted by yourself and offered me an upgrade. I wouldn’t stay there again. The only advantage of this extremely expensive hotel is its position in the middle of the city. In addition to my existing complaints there was no offer of help with luggage either on arrival or on leaving. Also in over50 years of travelling the world I have never been told that there were two prices for breakfast cheaper if you pay in advance and more expensive if you just walk into the restaurant

Loved it

The staff was super helpful and accomodating. The toiletries selection smell delightful. Locationwise it was super convenient for sight seeing as well as the bus station. Breakfast had so much variety.
Unfortunetly half the thermal spa facilities were out of order and it would have been nice to have everything in working order.
4.3
I like the flags from top to bottom in the stairway.
4.3
Excellent Room Very very small shower in bathroom, but I would do it again and recommend it or ONE person.
4.3
Hotel was conveniently located in the heart of Oxford University which made site-seeing and dining very nice. The hotel and room were beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Easily some of the most spacious hotel rooms in the UK. The on-site bar and restaurant were also very nice!
4.3
Staff definitely needs improvement. Great location and facilities.
4.3
I was not feeling well the afternoon we checked in. Through no fault of the hotel, the room we had was extremely noisy (the building next door). Even though there were no available rooms, the Manager went out of his way to find a quieter room for me by having a room cleaned that had not yet been cleaned. He and his staff could not have been more accommodating and we really appreciated that. Whenever I am in Oxford, I will be staying at the Randolph!
4.3
Uncomfortable mattress and very noisy in early morning.
4.3
As far as I am concerned The Randolph sold me a bill of goods.
As it was my wife’s birthday treat I decided that as the Randolph’s web site say - “Take in the city sights from our Graduate Deluxe King with View. These cosy spaces overlooking either The Ashmolean Museum or Martyr’s Memorial are outfitted with a plush king bed and writing desk.” Then there is the “Stretch out in a plush king bed.”
Well in our Graduate Deluxe King with view we got 2 singles held together by a sheet. There was an obvious demarcation in the centre where the 2 mattresses abutted that left stretching out an uncomfortable experience. By morning there was a “trench” between the 2 mattresses. Having paid the premium price for this style of room I was very disappointed. Although each single mattress was very comfortable if we wanted to sleep in separate beds we would have booked twin beds.
Front desk and especially Eric were excellent ambassadors for the hotel.
Will I ever return to this hotel - no.
4.3
The hotel is somewhat overrated
4.3
beautiful hotel with impeccable service
4.3
In most cases. You will find rooms are too small and too noisy if you are facing the street.
4.3
The hotel is fantastic! Well located and just so charming inside and out. Great service and amenities! Highly recommend if you are staying in Oxford, every thing is close by with a bus stop around the corner which we used to visit Blenheim. The train station is also only a 10 min.
4.3
Very tired and needs updating - not 5 stars for hotel and services
4.3
This was a wonderfully comfortable and charming hotel. Checking in was easy and the storage of our luggage till room ready was well managed. Paul, the concierge helped me find things in the property and directed us in town. Very nice staff but Paul was excellent in particular.
Breakfast was good and the dining room decorated in Alice in wonderland watercolors, bright window light and comfortable seating. The food was varied and you could find something for your taste and dietary needs.
Our room was well appointed and very comfortable-- chairs that you could sit in and watch the people go by into Oxford.
The hotel is just across from the Ashmolian museum and was close to train station.
Also, your room card is a facsimile of a famous Oxford student. Just a nice touch.
Plenty of places to sit and read a book, have a drink or get tea.
I think this is a wonderful place and will look for other graduate hotels when I travel.
4.3
The food was very poor. Very expensive in Alice restaurant for what you got. Service was very mediocre. I think there are very limited options when staying in Oxford, do not sure you can find any accommodations that are much better, but will not stay there again.
