Was not new, but it was clean and close to the hospital we were working with.

not so good killed an earwig bug on desk beds to hard don't like long pillows

The toilet had pee in it. My husband also sat in the desk chair. When he leaned back the chair tipped over and he hit his head on the hand of a drawer. He has a gash in his head.

Quick stay for U of U Football. check in and check out was quick friendly and easy.
bed comfy. price and hotel awesome
4.2
Friendly staff allowed me an early check in to do some work. Outlets were too loose and chargers kept falling out or wouldn’t work. No room safe for valuables. Hotel feels like it still has its original finishes and give an outdated vibe.
4.2
Very friendly and courteous reception upon arrival.

This hotel is lovely. The staff was fantastic.
A few suggestions would be to have smokers stay away from the doors. Time to start fixing things like Door knobs & water pressure.

Very accommodating

Close to the University. Must pay to park, Starbucks on site, double beds.

Check in was nice, everyone working there was really friendly. The ac unit was attached to the wall and nice and quiet. Each bed had reading lamps. Little water bottles and a fridge in each room. Doors were pretty heavy! Nice quiet area. Restaurant was a bit pricey for me. I also wasn't a fan of having to pay for parking, which is all done mobile.

Place was amazing, tucked away so when you are around there you feel away from the heavy traffic in the main city of Salt Lake.
4.2
The hotel is consistently excellent. I highly recommend it especially if you are visiting the U of UT.

After a long road trip staying at cheap motels, we were looking forward to a more posh experience. We were let down. The check in process took 15 minutes just to run a card because the computers were down (this was a prepaid reservation). There were no trolleys available to load our gear from the car to the room and then no one was at the front desk for 10 minutes to ask about the trolley. Lastly, the shower was a disaster. It sprayed everywhere and was super hot and super cold at the same time. And they knocked on our door twice about checkout, both times before 9am. I am glad we were only there one night.

Great hotel and staff
4.2
It was very comfortable and close to the hospital which was helpful since my husband was having surgery from out of town BUT you have to pay $14 a day for parking which I feel is outrageous when you are paying a lot to stay at their hotel. The parking should be included. The staff is amazing. The food at the restaurant in the hotel is amazing. There is a Starbucks conveniently located inside the hotel.

We didn't take the pictures of the holes in the cabinets and the desktop, but it looks like things have been removed and the holes hadn't been covered.

It was a pleasant experience. The staff was friendly.

Staff friendly efficient and helpful

The property is clean the price is right. The AC is superb. The lobby is beautiful. The beds are great. Don't like the if the towel isn't on the floor we don't wash it policy. There's weirdos out there that will neatly pu the towels back...
4.2
Very nice facility. Very limited food options. Easy check in and check out.

Our stay was pretty average. The AC was noisy, the neighbors were noisy, and the pillows and blankets were not very comfortable. The people were very friendly and helpful though.
4.2
Older hotel. Worked for what we needed which was a room to sleep after an amazing show at Red Butte Gardens. Got cheesy.
4.2
My stay here was very pleasant. The resturant and bar offered fantastic food, drinks and service. How ever there was an issue with the sink backing up with water but was taken care of withought any issue.
4.2
We had a room that had a door to an adjoining room. The crack under the door was so wide and possibly the door itself was thin, that we heard peoples conversations when they were just talking.
We could even hear them click off the light. Not a good way to get rest!
4.2
Wonderful place with friendly staff.
4.2
Charge for parking
4.2
Fantastic location for visiting the University of Utah. Hotel rooms are outdated. Tub in our room was so rusted it was visible and felt like we may fall through. Common areas are better with amenities expected with a Marriott. Bar staff was not welcoming and really did not appear to want to be there.
4.2
Charging a paying customer to park in the parking lot because students have to pay is ridiculous! If a staying customer is paying for a room they shouldn’t have to pay to park “because they have to charge students to park for near by classes”. Those students aren’t paying $200 dollars for a room to stay for the night. I’ll take my business elsewhere.
4.2
Clean, the check in staff (Erica) was amazing. Needed early check in and she made it happen seamlessly
4.2
only there for a quick trip to Salt Lake City Hospital, traveling with someone in a wheelchair, was super easy, so impressed with all of the trip.(Only thing I didn’t like was the pillows) but everything else was great, including the food!
4.2
Great location for a quiet getaway and lovely hotel overall—we love the location and the fact that they allow dogs to stay here.

The hotel stay and staff were excellent. We enjoyed our 2 nights. The room was comfortable. My one question is: when did the in room coffee maker disappear? There is no in room coffe maker. You are forced to go without coffee in the morning or go down to Starbucks, in the hotel, and pay a king's ransom for a cup of coffee. I am not a fan and if all Marriots are or have gone this route, I will hesitate to stay there.
4.2
Very close to the medical places

Everything was good
4.2
We like that the property is walking distance to the University and has restaurants on the premises.
4.2
Unfortunately, my room smelled of mold. The sound insulation is very poor between rooms. I could hear conversations from the room next to me, and was woke up each time the person next door urinated in the toilet. The gym is small and dated. This is not the quality I am used to from Marriott. My single room cost me over $300 a night. I am disappointed in my stay. The quality and amenities did not match value.

We had to go to Salt Lake because of a family member being in the Hospital Burn Center. Because we got there late and had to go to the hospital we asked for a late check out. They told us normal check out is at noon, but they will allow us to check out at 1 PM. When we got in the room, I kept finding little pieces of trash on the floor, but we were in the hurry to get to the hospital so I forgot about it.. In the morning before 8 AM housekeeping can start at knocking on the door saying you leave. We need to clean the room. I told her we had a late checkout at one and would be leaving around 1 PM. Every hour they would knock on the door trying to get us to leave. While packing my wife found dirty clothes by the window that didn’t belong to us. There was a spot on the sheer curtains that looked like someone had used it as toilet paper. I brought the issues up with the front desk, staff and they could care less about it. It is the worst Marriott hotel I’ve ever been in my entire life. This morning, I get two welcome messages from them two days after checking out.

Beautiful Hotel / Great Service, Friendly Staff / The restaurant service was slow but overall would stay here again
