The alarm was gong off in the room next door 1503. I checked out at 2am.

The staff was excellent. The pool was cold and the hot tub didn't work. We were on the 1st floor. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, no heat in the first room. Probably won't be back.
5.0 / 10.0
The room was great but there was a hockey team of kids and adults who were very noisy. The adults let the kids run crazy knocking on peoples doors til 2 am and running the halls. Staff also did nothing about it. Because it started at 11 and we complained and nothing was done

My Stay was Excellent. The In Take Gentleman was very Professional & Friendly. The Room was very clean & tidy. The Bedding & Sheets were clean and very soft. I give My Experience a 5 Star Rating. I Strongly Recommend the Allure Hotel in Barrie Ontario

Hotel is really outdated and kind of smells like old carpet. Doors were constantly banging throughout the whole day from early morning to late at night. There was also a dog barking in one of the rooms I was near, front staff called my room to see if the dog was coming from my room and they further questioned me about having a pet in my room after I told them it wasn’t coming from my room. Stayed here because it was central in Barrie. I had an awful stay, I will not be back.

I didn't mind my stay at this hotel. However there were a few set backs.
I requested a walk out room to my car several times over the phone before my arrival date. Once ĺ, i was told there was nothing available. After a few minutes the front desk resolved that issue.
When we got ibto our room it smelt of smoke, the screenn door was ripped, the rug was filthy.. i could feel the rug sticking to my feet through my socks.
My husband needed pain relief, it was too late to go anywhere the hotel didn't offer any pain meds.. normally you can buy some at the front desk. Lastly, the all you can eat breakfast was ridiculously priced. 21.99 for the buffet - the food was underwhelming. Other hotels offer a hot breakfast similar for free.
On the positive note- the bed was AMAZING. The hot tub was clean, ans bonus-- there was a sauna.

Easy to get to. Clean rooms and staff are friendly.

The staff was friendly and helpful, and the hotel was clean. Our only gripe was the old mattress and how it sunk in the middle making an uncomfortable sleep.

Accomodation was perfect for the price. Pool, sauna and Hot Tub were operational and in good condition. The gym was well equipped for its size and the concierge was accommodating and polite. Only gripe would be that there was not toothpaste provided, however, this seems to be the norm in Hotels that are not premium 4 star. Will absolutely stay again when travelling through Barrie area. 👌

Awful place filthy rooms no room cleaning service, along with non guest in the stairwells and in the bushes of the property.
To top it off no power in the hotel and was asked to find another hotel on my 5th night, hotel did not contact me or offer to help me find another hotel big inconvenience to pack up in the dark using an iPhone light.

Picked because of their reasonable prices and discounts available for multiple day stays.
Indoor Pool was larger than expected, was a little disappointed to see that they have an outdoor pool as well but it looks like it’s closed and in desperate need of maintenance.
Pet Friendly and were able to accommodate us as well as helped us book a reservation last minute when there weren’t many rooms available.
Rooms around the back of the hotel could use some updating, definitely could benefit from more staff.
Overall favourite hotel to stay at in Barrie!

The room was old and not worth what I paid. It was busy in our hallway and noisy and restful sleep was hard to get. Front desk staff were friendly.

Not very clean. Carpets are dirty, there was blood on the wall. Probably won’t stay there again

It’s an okay place, it’s run down but the price is reasonable. You get what you pay for.

The rooms are in need of updating but we’re clean. There were people living at this hotel and clearly involved in drugs and sex trafficking. A pregnant drug user tried to get into a room right beside me. Shopping carts with peoples belongings were sitting out front of rooms. Women coming and going from room next door. Drug and/or sex trafficking. Drunk/high man approached my 13 year old son and told him he was going to drown him in a bucket of ice water. Not great clientele.

Hallway carpets didn’t look at all. The bedskirts on our bed wasn’t clean. The phone in our room didn’t work.

Just there for a night not bad but still haven’t received my deposit
5.0 / 10.0
This hotel was exactly what I needed. Quiet, not obnoxiously crowded. I enjoyed the pool and the sauna.
You could tell that it was probably an amazing hotel in the 90s or so. But it's a bit rundown and old. Dust bunnies in the corners of rooms. This is not a complaint; I got what I paid for, it was reasonably priced and I personally was in a meditative place where I did not want to deal with a ton of people so it was perfect.
Did see some shady characters in the parking lot but perhaps that is just the norm for this area.

my go to when visiting Barrie only one thing they need higher toilets the ones here seem to be made for kids

The employee at the front desk was helpful in relocating us to "their last king room" (which is what we booked) after putting us in a queen room. She was also helpful in printing some documents for me since the printer in the 'business centre' didn't work. I was disappointed that a 'hotel and conference centre' didn't have better business services and wifi that kept cutting out. Wifi was also very slow - it took about 20 minutes for my emails to get to her. The restaurant was great - large portions for breakfast, reasonably priced and a fantastic server. Everything seemed clean, the room was fine - nothing spectacular but fine. Super strange, unpleasant smell in the elevator. We were only there for one night and it was fine but we probably won't go back. The place was way better when it was the Holiday Inn.

If you book online, there should be clear instructions regarding additional deposits. I booked a room online, tried to call the hotel to report I wouldn’t be able to check in until late, but there wasn’t an option to leave a message and no one answered the phone for 20 minutes. When I checked in at 2 am, they told me I needed an additional $200, then changed to $300 deposit. I didn’t have my credit card on purpose, as no one mentioned I needed a deposit and they REFUSED me accommodations and of course, no refund on the original booking. If your policy is to have a deposit paid, this needs to be clearly stated once you book.
No one should be refused who has booked online. This policy is terrible and so is your business model. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Pool wasn’t available for a bit hot tub wasn’t opened.
Fridge wasn’t working they had to replace it and blow dryer was only giving cold air. When asked to get a new one was told maintenance isn’t there to call tomorrow. (Why couldn’t they get it from another room and switch it out) by this point my hair was soaking wet

NO LIGHTS IN THE HOTEL PARKING LOT! Because I would arrive at the hotel late every night of my stay, with my 13 year old daugter, it was VERY scary and uncomfortable. It was so dark in the parking lot, that my daughter and I had to use our cell phone flashlights to be able to unload our car each day.
The room was average, at best. Our bathroom door didn't close properly, so we could never have full privacy while in there, and not having a continental breakfast included in our rate was annoying.
Overall, the hotel was...meh...

I didn’t like the fact the the hot tub was closed. The breakfast buffet was not offered. Hotel cleanliness was not great.

When arriving the front desk gentleman was kind
When we got to our room the floor was not clean as it seemed like they just vacuumed high walled areas
Skirt of the bed had white stains on it
Paint was peeling from the ceiling of the bathroom and the bed was broken we had to sleep with our head at the foot of the bed
This use to be one of our favourite hotels

Lots of people smoking around exits. Garbage all over like apple cores and wrappers.
No Tylenol at front desk. Staff were not friendly. Pool appears green.
Room is good. Appears to have clean sheets and ample towels.
