This hotel is in a great location to see all the main sights in and around London. The hotel lobby is very elegant and you are welcomed by a doorman to greet you. Checkin is really easy but does require a £100 safety deposit in case of any damages which is standard in most hotels.
We decided to pick a room with the river view and was not disappointed! The view of the London eye along the River Thames was spectacular, not to mention seeing the Shard and St Paul’s Cathedral to name a few! Looked even better at night! The room itself was very cosy with a king size bed, big wardrobe, coffee machine, safe, international plugs in the wall, under floor heating for the bathroom, air con and a ‘do not disturb’ button to just name a few highlights. On our last night we decided to have breakfast delivered to the room before checkout which was delivered at the requested time, the full English breakfast cost around £29 each and it was ‘ok’ but was quite cold in some areas which was a little disappointing. Not sure with us being in the 8th floor was a factor in the food getting cold? One other slight issue was with the Aircon, worked completely fine on the first day but decided not to work the day after which made the room very chilly! But apart from that overall great experience and would definitely stay here again!

Staff was wonderful and we really enjoyed our complimentary mini bar (water, beer, and wine). A block from Trafalgar Square and an easy walk to China Town for some of the best Chinese food we’ve ever had. Lovely view of London Eye from our window.

Good. Great location. Rooms feel a little old. IT can’t manage to get a good “stream” for
HD tv but that’s minor niggle.

Horseguards is not a fully fledged 5 star hotel. Afternoon tea and breakfast was good, but we were very negatively surprised when we had an inside room. It is unacceptable that a hotel of this type sells a room without notifying that a few of the rooms are inside. With a blacked out window not possible to open into the internal emergency exit stairs. We would not have chosen this hotel of we knew that we would get an inside room. Recommend to avoid until they change practise, when we raised this issue with reception there was absolutely no acceptance of the problem.

Fantastic location.Always stay here when visit London. Can easily work everywhere. Staff very friendly accommodating. Food great love the freshly squeezed orange juice at breakfast. Plenty of choice.
The only negative the bathroom grouting is in need of a bit of attention and the main shower did not work but the smaller shower worked fine. Great addition was the sift drinks and popcorn and chocolate bar in the mini bar which was a welcome treat when arrived back at the hotel after a day out.

Perfect location and service. Interior and comfort need upgrade. It was a back to the past experience and due to hospitality we were lucky to get a free upgrade. Check before if you have a room with view/window, especially if you book via expedia. Price quality - high over priced if you seek for comfort. Ok if you want the best location and service.

Our stay there was great, the staff is so attentive and wants to assist. Very nice accommodations!

Amazing location, staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was great with all of the finer things. I was sad we didnt have a view in fact I think the windows in our room looked into the elevator shaft but the windows were whited out and we couldnt see anything. Otherwise a perfect stay.

This was possibly the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. The staff was so friendly and helpful with everything we needed. The concierge arranged for a taxi on our departure that was the perfect size, right on time, and just great service. The high tea was very good and fun. Great location near all of the iconic London locations such as Westminster abbey, big ben, etc. I would definitely stay at this hotel again if I have the opportunity.

A nice hotel in a great location. Our room was large by London standards and nicely decorated, however the bathroom was in need of refurbishment, some of the grout missing on tiles and the shower door didn't close properly.
It didn't spoil our enjoyment, but felt dated in relation to the room.
The lobby and common areas are very nice, bar is good and the staff were helpful.
We booked to eat in the restaurant there, and were disappointed. The service was poor, with a general feeling of 'Fawlty towers' about it. We were offered several peoples food, and generally it seemed like no one knew what they were doing. The food itself was ok though.
Overall a comfortable hotel in a good location, but check out other dining options.

The staff at this hotel were incredibly welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The special thank you I want to address to Yana, she is a real asset to the hotel. She is very knowledgeable and super nice. Yana gave us the best room we could only wish for. The room was immaculate and very comfortable with a beautiful view. We also enjoyed the delicious complimentary breakfast on my birthday that Yana added to make our vacation even more memorable. The breakfast was superb. We loved the convenient location close to major attractions. The hotel site and the surrounding are absolutely stunning and hysterical. The room had a refrigerator and there were complimentary water bottles and the snacks in it. The bar and the restaurant are also very good.Thank you for the great welcoming atmosphere!

Our room was not a clean as it could be and Mini fridge items seemed to be a bit haphazard, the example is no chocolate the first day and no water on day three just full sugar coca cola ! furniture was well used ie marked and not very clean with runs down the face of the units, however the kettle was replaced as it was faulty very quickly, but the staff on reception could not understand our request for instant coffee or it was lost in translation to room service ? restaurant was 100% perfect thank you. Would I recommend the hotel YES I would

Had a great stay, the bed and linens were excellent. The staff were very polite and helpful, the location is excellent.

Super location for our London visit. Easy to walk most of the places we wanted to visit. Hotel was comfortable, clean and most importantly, had excellent AC (as it was in the high 80s).

I love our experience at Royal Horseguards Hotel. All staff were pleasant , friendly and very professional. Special thanks to Alim for the wonderful service at Afternoon Tea.

Second time here, mainly for the london eye view. Location is great. But service was really …merely acceptable. Slow, cold, not so friendly. Lower your expectation on warm and welcoming service. Otherwise, all good.

Staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful.

Fasade and decor of the
Building

We are a family of 4 and stayed 4 nights. The hotel location is ideal, next to the river, underground, and numerous sites and museums. We walked to most venues. The rooms are comfortable but ensure you have an outside/perimeter room. The inside rooms overlook a dark enclosure. Breakfast buffet was good but high tea was underwhelming. We’d stay here again.

Always reliable and elegantly quaint! My go to hotel In London near Waterloo and sites. Lovely patio for lunch and drinks.

Incredible view, wonderful location, very friendly staff!

Great location—2min walk to the underground, staff is very welcoming and kind! My only downside is that the hotel had listed free breakfast, but we did not have it when we checked-in, and the view we had from our room was obstructed and the doors to the balcony are locked (for safety).
4.4
A lovely friendly hotel in a great position. Our room was a good size and had comfortable beds. Great extra touches as it was our birthdays, which were much appreciated. The staff were very helpful and attentive.
4.4
Wonderful location and great property. There was a lack of attention to detail at times however which keeps this from being in the upper tier. As just one example, the minibar comes with free water which was not replaced after the first night. We alerted the front desk the next morning and were assured this would be corrected. Still no water however until we asked a second time. Not a deal breaker of course, and not to be too picky, just one of several examples of a great hotel resting on its laurels.

Excellent experience.

Excellent staff, location, breakfast buffet option, and walk ability to all the touristy locations. Highly recommend. Beds and amenities are excellent.

Property was good but VERY DISAPPOINTED in my check in. We arrived at 1:30 for a 3:00 check in and was told our room would be ready at 3 with a priority for service. We came back at 2:30 and was told in was only another 10 minutes and they would contact me when ready. They asked us to wait in the lobby. We waited there until 3:30 when the person who told me they would contact me leave the hotel in their street clothes. The entire time we waited, we saw others guests checkin in and getting their rooms.
I went back to the front desk and they told me my room was ready and keys sitting there for 10 minutes.
I asked if I was given lower priority due to booking through an internet booking site and they would not answer the question.
So, I will assume I received a lower customer priority due to booking through an internet booking site. Not good.
