Stayed in room 140 at first. Woke up to the feeling of huge bug bite on my face only to turn the lights on and find 3 bed bugs crawling on or around the mattress (found another bed bug I picked up the mattress).
I asked to switch rooms, which the front desk did allow. I woke up the next morning to then find a worm on the floor of the room.
When I went to the front desk later morning to mention these two things, the manager was dismissive and rude. She asserted that they regularly check for bed bugs and don’t have issues (seems awfully hard to believe given how many there were in my room, #140, and I noticed them 2 hours in my stay). When mentioning the worm on the floor in my 2nd room (#125), she was quick to stay, “it’s probably because it was raining a bit last night.”
I booked two nights but left after that first time. Hotel refused to provide a refund because they put me in a new room after finding bed bugs. Thankfully, hotels.com did issue a refund even though microtel refused.
In short, don’t stay at this hotel until the bed bug situation is remedied. I have called the NC Department of Health to notify them of this issue.

The room was a bit damp and had a strange smell.
The breakfast had limited options.

The room was not clean nor was the lobby area. The place is advertised as non-smoking facility, but the whole lobby, hallway and room smelled like cigarette smoke. My family and I choose to leave the hotel and find other lodging. Our door into the hotel room was streaked with mud and the room had clearly not been cleaned. We will never stay here again when coming to this area.

Don't be fooled by the room pictures, which look nothing like the actual rooms which are tiny, tired and smell like the linens took a bath in an entire bottle of Downy Unstoppables meant to cover up the smell of 20 years of smoking. No bugs when I arrived, but they were coming out from their hiding spots in the morning. The "free breakfast" is a vast overstatement.
I realize this is an economy hotel, but spent the extra $50 and stay at the Holiday Inn Express. You won't be disappointed with your decision.

If your thinking about staying here,.well dont unless theres no other option. This doesn't hold the hold Wyndham experience as im use to. Just a hotel that probably was bought by Wyndham to stay afloat. The 1st room the tv didnt work, and had mold corner of ceiling, 2nd tv worked no mold but the phone broken, toilet dirty, and the ac started off with a burning smell before kicking in barely. The hallways werent clean, 2nd floor exit had a portable ac leaning against rooftop for support. Most of the rooms i saw said no smoking ,yet u can smell cigarettes and weed while walking through the hall. There was a make shift snack and soda behind counter. Outside looks nice and welcoming but once u eneter the parking lot in the back you realize that either theres work going on the hotel which i never saw any, or most of the rooms being rented by travel workers , or people looking for work and are bouncing around.. To me that wasnt a problem, but this hotel reminds me of a motel transitioning in to a hotel...i know better next time!...the upload tab for photos isnt working for me to show the facts of what i mean and why this is a 1 star motel/hotel

Mold and mildew in the AC units. Someone had thrown up on the carpet and they did a poor job of cleaning it up. The hallways upstairs were heavy with cigarette and marijuana smoke. It caused me to have an allergic reaction and asthma attack. We left and did not stay. I’m still waiting on my refund!

Room smelled bad. TV did not work. Room was warm with no ability to change the temperature. Room and the Lobby could not have been furnished more poorly.
Thankfully only $90/n.

Not the fanciest hotel but it was very clean, which is the most important aspect to me. Room was cleaned and towels restocked daily. Beds were very comfortable. Water pressure was also good. Just do not stay in room 141 if you do not want to be woken up at 4:30 am every morning by staff. The room is right next to a storage room for breakfast i am assuming. We were woken up every morning at 4:30am by clanking metal, running water, and voices. Other than that, it was a comfortable stay.

From the outside it looked promising. After checking in the first room offered had mold on the the cushion by the window. Reported to the front desk and was moved to another room. It wasn’t any better. It had a weird smell and the fridge didn’t work. I checked out the next day. The property needs significant upgrades. The staff was friendly. Next time I will read the reviews before booking.

Pros: clean, great location, friendly staff, safe area, updated rooms, free parking
Cons: No USB ports in the room, although non smoking room it absolutely reeked of cigarettes, mediocre breakfast

Areas of shopping and dining are close to the property if you don’t mind the traffic to get in and out of the property. The room we had this time seemed like it was falling apart. My aunts room didn’t even have water for the toilet and she was told to deal with it. I dealt with the fact that the room was not cleaned well and the shower was all kinds of messed up/falling apart as I managed to get through the night, however, they charged my account the payment before I showed up. Which was fine, except that they did it again at check out. They said it was just a credit and should go back which I had the positive go back within a couple hours. Now, it’s reading as 2 negative payments again and my account is all jacked up. I was told I would receive a receipt for a credit for the room as well of $20 something and have not received that nor the email for it. Staff seemed friendly, but my aunt had the opposite service with them. They also did not seem to take care of things they said they would. I do not recommend this hotel, and next time I am out, I will be checking out a different hotel. I had a good experience back in October, but this time was just horrible.

Unfriendly area to pedestrians walking. No ride share options. Guests smoking weed in their non-smoking rooms. Old and run down! Regrets!

Room was nice and clean. However we never received any housekeeping the entire time we were there (3 nights) we had to go down to the front desk every night to get clean towels and wash cloths. they had a good variety of breakfast options.

Looks like new or redone up to date. Decor is excellent. Price was good. Staff when checking in at 7pm went out of her way to accommodate my needs. Next morning staff were not quite as accommodating or friendly. Very comfortable bed. Excellent stay, highly recommend.

The outside was nice but the inside was out dated.

The hotel is filthy and outdated. The outlets in the room were so old a plug wouldn’t stay in them, useless. There’s no USB outlets for charging. There’s a continental breakfast, with two items that need to be heated in a microwave. No instructions for how long, and the staff don’t know and didn’t care.

Absolutely no housekeeping for a 5 night stay!
No changing of towels nor bedding.
Sink stopped up for days & walls so thin, I heard every word of the hour long argument next room

The bed was really comfortable, and the hotel was very quiet. There was hole in the wall in the bathroom where someone must have slammed the bathroom door open. There were renovations going on so there are improvements happening at the property.

I am very picky about cleanliness and the hotel was very clean. The front desk staffer accommodated my request for an early check-in and late checkout and was very pleasant. Would stay again- reasonable price.

Upon arrival, we found our our room had no toilet paper. Then, when placing drinks in the refrigerator, we found some frozen meat left behind by the last customer. We told the desk staff and we were given a roll of toilet paper. It was about 10pm after arriving back from a late supper when my wife noticed a bug on the bed sheets. I looked more closely and found another Bed Bug, as well as staining on the mattress. We vacated the room immediately and contacted Hotels.com. We were able to move to another hotel, and Hotels.com refunded our money and helped book the new hotel. Thank you Hotels.com!

I left my first night and they refuse to give me a refund. The first room I stayed in, I found hair on the counter and the air conditioning sounded like there was something stuck and rattling in it. I transferred rooms and there was dirt on the sink, the floor, and cockroaches squirming around. I was promised a refund from the front desk, stated that she would note it in my booking info but come to find out they denied me through expedia.

We stayed here while visiting some family. I would not call this place “dirty”, but it’s worn and need some renovations. The sign says “newly renovated”. I suspect that’s an old sign. The ceiling in our bathroom had signs of some water damage and the patching wasn’t that great.
All of the staff we came in contact with were very pleasant and helpful. The price was only $85 per night and we were able to bring our dog so I think we got what we paid for.
