We just used this for a single night stop before catching the ferry to South Island. I wouldn’t want to stay more than 1 night, as room was too warm and couldn’t be cooled without lots of noise. Pillows were too soft for me and couldn’t see any choice for firmer ones.

I am a researcher, so the property is very convenient to the research centres that I have to use: Alexander Turnbull; The National Archives and the Parliamentary Library.
The reception staff were efficient and personable. They upgraded my room to one better suited to my needs: I am a single traveller and they moved me from a double bed unit (ordered online) to a single bedroom. They carefully explained the "Going Green" option, (which I did).
The room was spacious with nice vistas of the streets and green belt. the facilities were excellent: Writing desk, iron and iron board, wardrobe, spacious shower and toilet. I went for the green option (3 nights), so cannot comment on the cleaning of the room. I do wish , however, that the coffee machine came with instructions, but I worked it out after two attempts. The wifi is excellent, which is essential for my purposes.
I did eat in and the restaurant staff were always accomodating, and the food was more than acceptable. There is a supermarket nearby should you want to prepare your own food.
Overall, my stay at Atura was an excellent experience. I will be staying with them again.

Nice reception and lobby area, but rooms are small and the bathroom was dated, with a leaky shower. Skirting boards in bathroom were water damaged.

My daughter and I had a fantastic stay at Atura. I would like to mention Louisa in particular who went out of her way to provide a space for my daughter to have a zoom call for her work. Thank you so much for going above and beyond, we appreciate this greatly. Also the friendly reception staff for whom nothing was too much trouble, I highly recommend this hotel. Thank you.

Staff were pleasant and accomodating.
Hotel rooms need a serious revamp though. Small poorly lit room. No lace curtains under the drapes for basic privacy from the multiple neighbouring houses so had to keep curtains drawn all day with lights on. The worst bathroom I’ve come across in a hotel before. The bathroom of the classic room we got was exactly what you’d expect of an old hospital bathroom, only a hospital bathroom floor appears cleaner.

Building from outside looks great. Beds were terrible came to relax but woke up with sore back as the sponge on the bed were worn out and could feel the springs poking.

The location was excellent with views of the beehive. The rooms just a little too small.

Stayed 2nights for a sports tournament. Just what we needed for a rest in the evenings. New World close by too for essentials. Parking our ute was our main reason for selecting Atura which was great. We opted for the eco (no-housekeeping) in return for the $10 credit which we used for coffees upon checkout. Overall very happy.

Small, friendly budget hotel. Lovely staff and very clean.

The Atura was easily accessed via the motorway and close to my conference facility. It was also convenient to the supermarket. The communal hallways smelled air-freshened. However, the room (913) would benefit from a deep clean rather than a superficial service. There was evidence of grease marking on the kitchenette bench. The extra blankets were clearly dumped in the drawers by the last guest, there were blood splatters and mould on the walls of the bathroom and a thick build-up of dust particularly around the carpet line and skirtings, along with slopped coffee or water or similar. I did wonder if the toilet was cleaned before or after my fresh towels were hung (on a rail directly adjacent to the toilet) as the toilet seat was up on arrival. I understood on arrival that I could use the no daily service vouchers against my room cost only to discover on departure that I could only use it on food or beverages (which I did not require). I also encountered another guest on arrival who was requesting a full room service due to the filthy state of it. Check in staff asked him to clarify the elements that required attention - his response was "all of it". On arrival to my room, it appeared that this is a consistent issue and that most guests probably wouldn't mention it to staff but reflect it in ratings. Would I stay at Atura again? No. I'd stay in accommodation that I have previously that was cleaner. I'd Uber to and from a conference facility instead of staying at the Atura.

Property was close to central Wellington within walking distance to our destinations or the ability to catch a bus to visit other attractions. The meals were good at the hotel restaurant. The room was pretty basic.

I was quoted $124 as per Expedia and the charges was more than $230 - which I had to pay as the booking was confirmed already and would have penalized myself into paying the full amount anyway.
The bathroom mirror was dirty, the shower was wet inside with cleaning liquid still on the floor and slippery, the bed was not made properly and the linen smelled dusty.
As per the advert, there was suppose to be air-conditioning in the room, but there was not and having to open the windows for cool air it allowed noise from the outside.
The food was very good and of very good quality. Really enjoyed the breakfast and the coffee.
Not very happy about the charges and the cleanliness of the rooms.

Room was extremely small. Would be good to know dimensions before booking

Room was cold with no heating.

The hotel itself was very nice, dine in was amazing but if I am booking for 3 people I expect atleast 3 towels, we were only given 2.

Questionable stains on the carpet.
The bed was comfortable though

Great place for a quick work visit. Comfortable bed. Quiet area.
The only disappointment I had was the cost of the breakfast was astronomical for the very little options. I also had to (on top of what I paid) pay for a flat white which was very weak. The eggs were super runny and almost not cooked enough. Apart from that, the staff were amazing and a nice small room.

The bed was brilliant, very comfortable.
Room tidy. Good proximity to downtown, parliament and rail and bus station. Supermarket just down the road. Staff were helpful. Road works outside could be a hassle

Everything was excellent except the bed . Too very uncomfortable beds. This is not good after hours of travel. Motel need to change there mattresses more often.

The Atura had great service and great breakfast. The lift was great and you can tell some common areas have been updated. The room was ok, a bit on the small side but what threw me off was the bathroom. I dont know if they were all like that but it was huge, outdated and just strange. The Cleanliness was just above average. We asked for two beds but were given just one. Even though we had picked the twin room option. The parking is shocking but staff gave good advice as to where you could park on the sreet close to the hotel.

You got what you paid for. Ground floor with cafe to grab fresh hot coffee and tea was awesome and the staff were lovely. The bed was absolutely soft and you never wanted to leave it. Good experience. Cheap parking.

No parking available at the facility on my stay and no off street parking available due to road works. Otherwise staff were very helpful and room was very clean. Dinner menu was amazing!

Front desk and restaurant staff were amazing and friendly. The food in the restaurant was lovely and it remains open until 9pm which we really appreciated after a long day of travel, we checked in after 7:30 and could immediately sit down for drinks and dinner.
The bed was very plush and comfortable, had a great 2 nights sleep.
Hotel is very close to train and ferry stations.

We didn’t like we had to pay for parking $25 dollars a night at the property which we payed a good amount of money for staying there.Another one we ordered dessert to our room and was told we had to pay for the tray which they bought the dessert on.And it was very noisy from the outside and we had the windows closed. And noisy from inside from doors banging coming from other rooms.Rooms we’re pokey for amount of money we payed for,not very happy.
