Everything was great. Loved the spacious lobby with lots of seating and light. The room was clean and comfortable. Sadly, they were clearly understaffed for breakfast service. Everything was constantly running out and no one was really cleaning tables or anything.

The beds were very uncomfortable and the walls were thin. Room was small and did not fit the luggage cart easily. I hit my leg twice on a metal piece on the side of the bed. Several lights in the room did not work properly.

Palwasha checked us in. She was wonderful, and a wealth of knowledge about the area. Also, she was so patient with all my questions.Kylee checked us out and was excellent. She was also very knowledgeable. Amber, the woman who was in charge of breakfast was amazing. She went above and beyond, getting me carmel for my coffee. Such a pleasant woman. All three of these ladies are truly assests to your organization.

Everything about the interior, the rooms and lobby was so much nicer than than I had expected. Free breakfast was awesome. I only spend one night passing through. I booked it again for another night a few weeks later passing tgrough VT again.

This is our go-to hotel in Troy. Clean, great, walkable location (downtown, on water). Great restaurants and Saturday Farmer’s Market nearby. Perfect for visiting students at RPI.

We stayed here the night after seeing Dave Matthews Band at SPAC. Only about a 30 minute drive to the venue - and 45 minutes with traffic from SPAC to the hotel after the show ended. Troy was a great town to stay in away from the Saratoga - the hotel was clean, modern and surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars. I will definitely stay here again!

Troy NY has rebounded. Lots of great restaurants and it's a walkable historic city on the Hudson. This Best Western is right downtown and in the middle of it all.

Very limited & small parking spaces

I had never been to Troy/Albany before, and was a bit apprehensive about staying near a major metropolitan area like this, but I was soon put at ease. The location was excellent, parking wasn't any problem at all, and the area was safe. The staff was helpful and accomodated my wife's request to keep her freezer bags in their freezer overnight. I highly recommend the Dinosaur BBQ for dinner--they're right across the street, on the east bank of the Hudson river. Rensselaer University is just a few blocks east. The hot breakfast was good; the automated pancake making machine was amusing, and the custom coffee making machine was great! The wifi internet speed was fast too--I measured at least 10 Mbps. In summary, I enjoyed our stay, and would stay here again.

Close to RPI where my son is attending and is Pet Friendly. Parking has improved, but still could use some work.

We stay here because it is convenient for our visits with our RPI student and it's close to all the restaurants we like and the downtown shops. We have stayed here at least 5 times over the last two and a half years. We have stayed in a couple of other places in the area, but try to stay here. When we first stayed, there was daily housekeeping, which we liked. Now, there is only housekeeping if you request it or if you stay 4 or more days. We generally stay only one or two nights, so it's not an inconvenience except that it's nice to have fresh towels.
Another reason we stay here is because there is 24 hour coffee and the breakfast is free and is edible. It would be nice to have some decent turkey bacon in addition to pork. The eggs this morning were very good - there were some red and green peppers in there which was an improvement from plain eggs. Staff let the coffee run out so two empty urns sat there until we let them know. There's always a good selection of breads and spreads.
Some of the bath towels are getting threadbare and need replacement.
The mattresses in our room this time were not as comfortable as our last stay in early April.
Usually, the price is reasonable - another plus.
We will stay here again - it's generally comfortable, is in a great location and the free breakfast and coffee is a plus.
