Right next to the path train which goes direct to World trade centre area and into New York. Staff were brilliant. Reasonable parking costs from the hotel.

Lovely affordable hotel centrally located besides the PATH station, Newport, offering easy access to Manhattan by public transportation and near Newport Center Mall and the Hudson River with great views of Manhattan. The area was calm and nice. Recommendable for a family vacation with children.

An absolutely amazing stay. Cannot fault in any way. 1 bed suite was perfect. 2 huge rooms (living and sleeping) plus dressing area and bathroom. So spacious and perfect for a 5 night stay.
Staff were super friendly and helpful. Location was perfect litterally just outside newport PATH station and 10 minutes to WTC or 33rd street. Would 100 percent recomend.

There are a number of aspects of this hotel that could be in improved. The windows are dirty especially near the elevator. The towel holder was carelessly mounted giving a shabby look. The body wash in our shower was empty. Nothing terrible, but not great for an expensive hotel.

Some staff was really unprofessional and we found underwear left from previous customer.

Overall a good solid stay for NYC visit. Very close to PATH train to go in the city. Spacious room. Very happy with the decision to stay there. Two things that can be improved, there were lack of towels when we were there. Also, the jacuzzi has too much chemical, it kinda burns the eyes a bit when water got in, other guests were feeling the same thing.

Nice stay. The hotel is super convenient to the PATH trains and Newport is a great little place in Jersey City. The rooms are definitely dated and due for an upgrade.

I should not have to be a member of the Marriott Bonvoy club to have helpful service when staying at a Marriott hotel. I was told I could check in an hour earlier than normal because there was a room available. When asked if I was a member and I replied no, the offer to check in was rudely rescinded.

There is no real view of the city at least from my room and I believe the young lady at the front desk said... Only some had a partial view.

We chose this hotel so we could easily come and go for the 4th of July & see the fireworks on the Jersey side of the Hudson after a decade ♥️ We would definitely stay here again. The location offers plenty of meal options aside from what the hotel offers and it’s near the water. A short 5min walk if that & you are by the waters edge with a great view of Manhattan.

For a 4-star rating one would expect a hair dryer for the wife...not there.
The room was nice / clean...
There was a couch that I have never seen before...rough texture...was awkward to sit in as the seat was very wide front to back...requiring to stuff pillows behind.
A TV channel line-up sheet would be nice.
Was a great stay...ThankYou

Right next to the PATH so convenient for our New York City sightseeing trip. Family of 5.

There was no information on paid parking and breakfast. I should have taken a hotel half mile away that had free parking and breakfast included. It was a good hotel, but bathroom was not great and surely it was not value for money.

Convenience at its best! Right next to the Path, a short walk to Newport mall and so many other restaurants. We parked in the garage which is right next door and very easy access from the hotel. We traveled to NYC every day of the 4 days we stayed at the hotel and used the Path. Short walk to the waterfront and beautiful NYC skyline and JC skyline. Couldn’t have asked for better, watched fireworks from both NYC and JC on 4th of July at the waterfront about 5 minute walk from the hotel.
My only issue was a particular receptionist who was very curt and did not seem interested to answer any questions when we asked about fireworks or things to do on July 4th. Her answer was check online, I don’t know what’s going on. Then when I spoke about the fireworks, she mentioned to go to Hoboken to see them because we wouldn’t be able to see nothing on the waterfront. We actually went to the path station, the train to Hoboken was in 21 minutes so thought of venturing to the waterfront. Two kind police officers told us to just stay at the waterfront and we would be able to watch the fireworks from both sides. This receptionist also made rather disturbing comments about kids walking in and out the door. She shouldn’t be in the hospitality business.
Also, it would be nice for the hotel to serve coffee/ tea in the lobby. There was a pitcher, some days with water and others without! The times there was water, there were no cups!
Overall, for convenience I would rate this place highly!

The hotel is clean and everyone was super nice. The rooms are nice as well as the beds and pillows were comfortable. At the front desk everyone was helpful and nice. They even found a screw driver to help open one of my kids new toys. Has a nice patio outside and is really convenient to the path train and a boardwalk. There are plenty of food places to eat as well.

Unsafe property. Did not compensate for unsupervised children talking to my wife in front of my 5 year old who made her cry. Management neglect almost caused rowdy unserpervised children to drown
