Very good, no fridge or microwave in room. One water bottle over a 3 night stay

My premium room in the executive floor was average. Do not expect luxury here. The room was clean but the bedroom window looked like it was never cleaned since the hotel was built. In room instant coffee was not approachable. As I westerner, I found the food quite spicy. I did not touch the salads or fruit, brushed my teeth with bottled water, but stilled ended up with food poising. The hotel responded well to my food poising, but stopped understanding English when I asked about the source.

Over all this was a bad time to go during non stop rain shower and flood warnings, property is decent size but no where close to bhurban, roof was leaking non stop because of heavy rains, food was really good specially chanoni or chandni whatever is the name located at 10th floor. Over all it was a nice experience just at a bad time.

The hotel is nice and clean but the room didn't have any drinking water when we arrived. Later we realized it also didn't have towels...when we called it took 45 minutes and multiple calls for them to bring towels.
I've stayed here before and in general the staff is nice individually but have felt communication between departments and the systems don't always work well causing hassles along the way.

Pearl Continental is an amazing hotel, I am sure it’s one of the best in Karachi. We had a very pleasant stay, thanks to the wonderful front desk staff (Aun, Anas), cleaning/housekeeping staff (Hasan) and back office reservation staff (Hasnain, Umair, Asim). They were all so excellent and dedicated to providing top notch customer service. We had been assigned smoking room initially and they helped move us to a different floor on the same day. The breakfast options were awesome except that they can do better with chai. The chai was sub par.
One thing weird about the room design is that there are mirrors everywhere. There’s a mirror on the bathtub wall and a giant mirror in front of the toilet seat. It’s so strange. I hope they make amends to the design in future or at least add shades to cover these mirrors.

Everything was excellent , except the corridors leading to the rooms - there was a damp smell - 5th floor

The entire building is poorly air conditioned.
initially assigned room 712 but the room hot, with a wet carpet smell. They changed me to room 720 but that too was hot.
I asked reception to send over a maintenance team which took an hour to arrive. These folks were more interested in convincing me that the AC was working properly than fixing it. After a bit of back and forth, they agreed to bring a thermostat to check the temp of the air coming out of the unit. It was set at 16C on the unit, and the air temp was recorded at 23C. These folks then tried to convince me that the unit is working perfectly and tried to leave. I insisted they service it. 30 mins later, they said its now all fixed and that they were leaving. I asked if they will check the temp again but they said to wait half an hour, and call reception again if things weren't right. 30 mins passed with the room still being quite stuffy and warm, so I went to reception, and asked for another repair team. I waited another 30 mins (no one came), so I again went down to reception, and the gentleman at the desk immediately said that my room needs to be changed again. I asked him why, and he said that the original repair team said the AC was broken and can't be fixed that night. I told him that they didn't need to lie to me and gaslight me this way when they knew early on that its broken.
Anyhow changed rooms again to 909, marginally better, so made my peace with it.
TLDR:Avoid PC in summers. Go to Marriott instead.

I booked executive king room .The room was extremely smelly as if the carpets haven’t gone under cleaning since ages. The telephone service was not working and nobody bothered to check it despite complaining . The Housekeeping rang the bell once and straight tried to enter the room in the span of 0.5 second and later realized it was a blunder. Wasn’t expecting all of this . I literally left the next day

Hi, I would just like to leave an honest review of my stay in the Pearl continental hotel Karachi. I had arrived from London. My pick up was convenient, the food was great and the facilities were exceptional, however, unfortunately I came across a situation which made me feel so uncomfortable and has made me reluctant to ever return. I had a friend who came to visit me for a couple of hours as I had returned to Pakistan after a long time. This incident took place on the 8th February in the night time .The security personnel who was tall and had a big beard stopped me near the lift (it was so disgusting and humiliating in front of other people) and said to go to reception for entry where receptionist said to me that I had to pay additional fees and to register my friend. The receptionist then demanded me to pay. I told them that I they can deduct it from my deposit money. Upon checking out, I noticed that no money was deducted. It is quite obvious that they were playing foul and just wanted to extract money from me for personal gain and not in the interest of the hotel chain. I would urge you to look into this matter as I have advised many friends of mine who stay at the Pearl Continental in Karachi about this situation and frankly, this practice needs to stop. I pay good money for the convenience of peace of mind and not to get harassed for money but then still have to face unwanted situations like this. kind Regards Laiq Ahmed

Clean rooms, comfortable beds and pillows. I found my room noisy at night from traffic and sirens because it faced the street. If the clerk who checked me in had been more astute about my quiet room request I would have enjoyed better sleeps.
Well maintained common areas and lobby spaces.

The staff was friendly, but the bed was not comfortable when one person moved the other person felt the entire bed move resulting in waking up multiple times.

We had a booking for three nights for two twin beds on smokefree floor, but were given full bed on a floor that had smoking rooms as well as smoke free. When we asked about this discrepancy they gave us a smoke free queen size bed with a bed rolled in. We changed the room but then had new problems to face when we saw the bathroom. It barely fits a slim person. And this is a five star hotel?

The staff at reception is extremely rude.
