The staff were nice and always smiling, the hotel was overall clean and spacious, the adults pool was nice and empty, and they let us stay a bit longer for late checkout. However we wouldn't rate this as 5 stars hotel or stay here again as we are disappointed by a few things, the facilities are old, the room balcony is not private- and the sea view room we paid for was not really close to the sea. There were too many pigeons around the hotel including the pool which is not hygienic, the breakfast buffet was the same everyday and the food was not always fresh, it took the staff more than 40 minutes to get us Cappuccino after asking 3 times and it wasn’t even a real Cappuccino, the next day they forgot to bring the omelette we ordered and we ended up giving up- i would recommend to get coffee and omelette by waiting in line instead or ordering at the table. The hotel have a policy of not letting in any food or drinks from outside and searching bags, they charged us way too extra for it, although we wanted to bring it to the room. I have never seen this in any of the hotels i stayed in around the world. If they want people to buy drinks and food from the hotel it needs to be improved with lower prices!

The hotel was very good and in down town aqaba which is great that it’s near everywhere else but why the hotel is still using pepsi and nestle while they are boycotted. And the food at breakfast is not fresh.

Very good value for the price

Though the check in was uneasy, all else was great.
The staff were incredibly helpful and courteous. Aqaba is a beautiful, clean and friendly city that we always enjoy coming back to.

Check in very slow and 1 desk open, rooms dated and need investment, air conditioning noisy and not very effective

Great location in Aqaba as the Hotel sits across from the water with a second level enclosed causeway that connects to the waterfront pools, restaurants and sandy beach. The hotel is well appointed with great staff and amenities. In fact, my son was seen by the hotel’s doctor and treated within 30 minutes of our call to the front desk - excellent attentive service.

Wonderful stay at a very well-run hotel with excellent amenities. Spacious suite that the receptionist gave us as a free upgrade. Helpful unobtrusive staff. Used the lap pool every morning and enjoyed the beach in the evening. Food excellent.

Perfect Hotel!
My stay at this hotel was truly impressive. The staff's hospitality was excellent, and they went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was a positive experience. They were always friendly, courteous, and ready to assist with any questions or requests I had.
The room I stayed in was exceptionally pleasant. It was clean, well-organized, and equipped with all the necessary amenities. The bed was comfortable, and the atmosphere in the room was soothing and enjoyable. The room amenities included entertainment options, a television, comfortable chairs, and more - everything needed to feel at home.
The hotel is located in an excellent location. It is close to restaurants, cafes, shops, and tourist attractions. I had easy access to explore the beautiful and captivating city.
Overall, I had a fantastic stay at this hotel, and I'm sure I will return in the future. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant, clean, and well-located accommodation.

A true 5 star experience.

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay in this beautiful hotel! The staff was so friendly welcoming and professional; our rooms were amazing! We enjoyed swimming in the Red Sea as well as in the swimming pools; the restaurants served delicious food. The inside of the hotel and the outside are stunningly beautiful!! I wish we could have stayed longer!

It’s a nice resort with a lot of potential. It was extremely clean and especially my room was spotless- love the housekeeping staff. While the restaurant and front desk staff were fantastic, they were understaffed in the afternoon and evening every day I was there, which meant waiting excessively long times to get a drink and meals during peak hours for happy hour and dinner and check in time. The staff was very gracious to go as fast as possible.
The resort needs to look into short staffing and also some other things like the room temperature could not be cooler than 25 degrees when it was very hot outside making it too warm to properly sleep. Also the pool attendants and landscapers were not very accommodating to guests. Landscaping was spraying for bugs during the midafternoon right around guests. That is toxic chemicals which should be done very early morning or at night.

The staff are all excellent. Very efficient, helpful & kind. Special acknowledgement to Mustafa & Baraa at the reception desk. Both went out of their way to resolve some issues. Cecelia in the Lobby Bar is so kind, professional & efficient. She needs more help during happy hour, but she did a great job. Jeandelle who works at the Turkish Restaurant & breakfast is very professional, courteous & effective. All of the staff are to be commended for their excellent service & work ethic. Thank you.

Beautiful rock and tile building, lots of pools, nice beach although few minutes walk with stairs through hotel’s interior bridge/hall over the road. Food excellent, nice bar/lounge with 7:00 happy hour.

The hotel is in a good location. It is older than its more upscale hotel neighbors. The breakfast service is problematic. The hotel should set-up a self-serve coffee station and 'egg station' so staff are available to clear and reset tables rather than running for coffee and egg orders. clear, fish lines should be strung across the upstairs pool to prevent the birds from gathering at the pool.

I booked city view room, but the gentleman named Omar at the reception upgraded me to a sea view room, it was great and bright room, and he also offered me a late checkout.
I loved the level of the customer service service

We had an amazing time in Aqaba! This hotel is very well located and close to many restaurants and sites. The amenities at the hotel (pool, private beach, etc.) were also amazing. The staff was very friendly and helped us in booking our various day trips. I'd definitely stay there again and recommend it!

What I liked was the general accommodation and facilities like the beach, bar..etc. What I didn’t like and the reason why I have an overall low score are as follows:
1) Cleaning staff noisy when it comes to opening and closing room doors during cleaning hours. On all days I stayed, I was unable to take naps after breakfast because the cleaning staff kept on opening the adjacent rooms doors and leaving to slam closed very loudly. This happened repeatedly despite me bringing this to their attention.
2) Screening of my bags to determine if I had brought any outside alcohol or anything else. I had brought alcohol for consumption during my trip (wine, beer…etc) which was more than just Aqaba. After check-in, I was called by hotel reception/security advising me that they found alcohol in my luggage and that if I wanted to bring it in, I’d have to pay a surcharge!! I eventually had to take the stuff to my car. I’ve been to many hotels around the world where they officially don’t allow outside stuff (but don’t mind if in room and not in plain view), however, Movenpick Aqaba is the first hotel where I was treated almost like a criminal!! I mean if I went shopping, were they also gonna check my bags to confirm no outside alcohol/beverages/food? Completely ridiculous!!! Everything other than that was great!!

For 200+ euros/night, we expected higher standing in the room, which was confortable but not fresh/modern/recent. Paint job needed, small bathtub only, leak in the toilet hose and only a few plugs working. Definitely not 5* room. Restaurant and pools were nice
Otherwise, excellent service from all the staff (most particularly from Zeyad) during our whole stay

Room was comfortable and spacious. Close to town for access to shops and restaurants. However, breakfast was inadequate - not enough space for the number of people, and food quality and choice was average to poor. Tea and coffee particularly revolting. We also stayed at other Movenpick in area (Tala bay) and the food there was better. Other issue was that we deliberately stayed in a residence with kitchen facillities (because we have young children who need to eat at awkward times) and there was no equipment at all - no cutlery, no plates, nothing. We were also told we were not able to bring any food into the hotel - so what is the point of offering residence with kitchen facilities?

Very good overall.
Highly recommended

As part of the check in conversation at reception we discussed we had driven the huge distance from Azraq. To make our stay more comfortable because of the drive we were upgraded to a suite. It was bigger than the floorplan of our entire house. Everybody was extremely helpful and treated us like royalty. It was only an overnight stay but we wished it could have been longer. The main things were perfect; the bed was so comfy and the firmness spot on, the shower excellent, and the three balconies? Well, that’s just too much. Fantastic choice for breakfast too.

You should respect all customers especially Jordanian
Front desk staff were very nice but cleaning staff were all bad disrespectful to all of us talking to my members of family as they are staying there for free .
You should act like 5 star hotels

Very risky stay, if you have a car. They have a hydraulic barrier at the entrance it is so tricky, in my last stay they staff told me to move my car and enter, the barrier was down and once I am near the barrier it started to moving up and hit my car, it was impossible for me to seeing moving up from the ground, unfortunately the Hotel didn't take any responsibility on this accident, even though the staff told me to move my car, it costs me $1800 to fix my car, I learned from them that this accidents happened many times before, at some time a guest had to pay the hotel $5600 to fix the broken barrier for them.
Although I describe myself as loyal customer for this Hotel, they didn't want to take any responsibility. I was very disappointed, and I would never stay again there.

Great location, lovely staff.
Did not like the buffet breakfast - only one choice of cereal and milk had to be requested. No toaster. Tried evening buffet - all food was cold except that freshly cooked on the grill.
Lovely bar, swimming pools and grounds all very clean.
3.0
Fanatstic hotel, with a an extra bit of luxury. Nice open reception and next to a comfortable large lounge area for relaxing and having a drink.
Everything you could possibly want for breakfast was available. Served in singular little dishes so you could just pick what you wanted.
Rooms are clean and comfortable. I was fortunate to have a sea view room which was amazing to wake up to.
The pools look clean and lifeguards on standy by. Great if you have a family. The private beach is so clean and relaxing and has a great hotel restaurant right at the sands edge.
The hotels location is also very practical. Its over the road from the sea, and a short work to a modern restaurant complex. Behind the hotel is the hustle and bustle of Aqaba which is full of great restaurants and a nice vibe for walking round in yhe evening.
Also, the bus station is about a 3 minute walk away which allows you to take day trips for very reasonable prices from almost the front of the hotel.
