There for a wedding. Convenient location to several area attractions

I wanted a quiet, solitary weekend all to myself to work on a writing project. The room was pleasant, a king size bed, mini refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker.
It was quiet, clean, desk top space, an extra chair to cozy into for catching up with tv news and searching for a movie to watch at night.
The buffet breakfast is amazing! Opulent, an excellent omelet station, pancakes, waffles, bagels and assorted bread, pastry, oj and choice coffee.
An unexpected interval was a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display on Sunday night. It was a surprise wedding gift from the parents of a couple celebrating their wedding at the venue. Guests were given notice, to avoid concerns about noise. So I went outside to watch, along with some other guests.
Based on what I wanted and needed for my little getaway, it was exactly right.

It started at check in with a request of extra shower towels for my 3 night stay the checkin woman said she would send it up shortly but towels they never came also she ask me if I would like my room clean I ask is that an extra fee she said no but for my 3 day stay they never cleaned my room I also made sure that my do not disturb sign was removed when I left my room every morning and finaly my room # was 424 the shower handle that regulates the hot & cold has to be fixed so small TV and my view was the roofs of the hotels lobby and trees so on a one to tenI give my stay a big 5

I would have given 5 stars for everything except that our flight was delayed so we got there very late and couldn’t get into the hotel to check in. We spent 20 minutes trying to call the front desk with no answer. We had to walk across to the hotel across the parking lot and luckily the security person over there had the cell number of the manager and was able to tell him to open the door for us. If that man had not been there we would have been stuck outside with no place to go. The hotel next door had no rooms available

Hotel was a little loud and hard to sleep. AC unit way too loud but very clean. The staff was very nice, lots of parking, and nice lobby.

I have stayed at this property over the last 6 years whenever I visit NYC. Instead of seeing improvements I’ve seen a decline in the property’s condition. The rooms are in desperate need of some upgrades. Some fresh paint and also fix the water stains on the ceiling, update the carpets. In addition, the bed, while clean was extremely uncomfortable, no support, very noisy, it was hard to get a good night’s rest because every movement created loud squeaking and shaking. The walls are paper thin, I was able to hear the conversation of the people next door as if they were in my room. For the cost of the rooms I would have expected to see improvements throughout the years, however, it is quite the opposite. The staff is amazing and helpful, but the owners need to step up and do better for the overall customer experience.

My first room had mold coming down the ceiling the wallpaper was peeling off the walls the laminate on the Closet doors was peeling off and the bathroom look like it was falling apart. When I went down to complain, they told me they had no other rooms. I told them that it was a health condition that I was there for nine days and they needed to do something. They said I needed to switch when I went back down to switch they told me there was nothing availabl, I had an issue with Samantha at the desk. She tried to say they were upgrading me to a corner suite which I did not book in the first place because I know it’s a along the expressway and I had to listen to motorcycles, drag racing, and tractor trailers air breaking. I went back down the next day, and they put me in a renovated room the same type that I reserved but I had a call corporate to have this done. It took five days to get into a room that sounded like the air conditioner was an airplane taking off. I will never ever stay at Nicotra Hilton in Staten Island ever again. It was a horrible experience. Let’s not mention the motorcycles drag racing at 3 AM on Saturday morning down the service road

Very disappointed in this property, will not stay here again even if it is a convenience. We found ants in our room, at first we thought maybe it was just a couple random but we continued to find them in the bathroom, coffee area, on the nightstands, in the closet area and eventually crawling over our luggage and personal items. Notified staff & basically blown off. I still feel like the ants are crawling on me and I am traumatized from this experience. To add to this beyond horrific experience- our Shampoo and Body wash in shower were empty, we had no towels and we had to hunt down the house keepers to get adequate supplies. Truly just disappointing as I generally love that location and property.

We stayed at the suite but couldn’t sleep due to the high noise coming from disco music or wedding party. During our trip we used different hotels in Boston and providence and the suit has a separate room but in Hilton it was one continuous space, restroom is small and old. I don’t recommend Hilton in the future.

No pool. Beds comfy. Room clean. Bathroom door was warped & would not close so, you better be comfortable with the people you are with because there is NO fan in the bathroom to help with ventilation so had to prop the door open to be able to breathe when you got out of the shower. Toilet is so close to the floor it is very hard to stand up. Needed a plunger, it was late at night, called & there is no maintenance at night but would bring me the plunger, then CHARGED ME $4 for its use (wonder what it would have been if a maintenance man came up to do it)

Check-in was 4pm. At 6pm, when we arrived, no room was available to us. The team member helping us was polite, but inexperienced. She has no other answer but to tell us to wait. She did call for assistance. No upgrades, no different accommodations. Just wait. We asked for a couple of extra pillows. When we returned later that evening, no extra pillows. The desk was sticky, as it had not been properly cleaned by the staff. We had a long day of travel and family events. Being stressed by our accommodations was hard for us to tolerate.

Nice place. Excellent front desk staff. Room was nice but shower head was loose and sprayed water all,over until I tightened it. Coffee maker broken. Great for the short stay we needed. Lots of restaurants nearby.

My car was keyed up pretty bad and the hotel offered zero assistance and claimed I was to park their at my own risk, even though there would be no where else to park

This facility has loud parties at two different venues on weekends until wee hours of the morning. We had to downgrade our room just so we could sleep. Attached is the “view” from our room if you can call it that.

The receptionist acknowledged your request but did not take any action. I made the request twice but it did not happen. Fortunately, the housekeeper helped us.

The Good: Nice hotel room and staff service is good. They have a nice gym room and a good dining area. Parking is super easy and it is located to where you can get to a highway easily.
Need to Improve: coffee is weak, the room door wouldn’t shut properly (quite odd) and they have a lot of events at the the hotel where loud music plays. Can get a bit loud in the room at times, especially if you are near the event space itself. Ask at desk where the room is located or sleep with ear plugs.
