The hotel and staff were great.

The hotel was amazing with amazing staff although They could improve the food and maybe invest in the air conditioning a bit more

I found the overall condition of the hotel to be extremely dated.
Additionally, there were issues with bathroom leaks in our room, which not only affected our comfort but also raised concerns about the maintenance standards of the hotel.
The food lacked basic quality, poor choice, tasteless.
Very good location. The view from our balcony was breathtaking.

The location is good.
But the wifi is not working in any area.
It’s a quite old hotel and the bathroom and floors need an update. Modest rooms.
They charge you for using the safe.

Not all cocktails are included in all inclusive
During dinner it takes some time that you get something to drink,

A great stay for my week in Tenerife. Great place to be close to local amenities but I had hired a car so explored the island. Ample sunbeds when I stayed - no need to reserve by towel!
When I stayed in late Feb / early March 2023 it was mainly being visited by older German singles and couples who were polite and respectful. Very quiet despite its closeness to the town centre which was ideal for me.
A great buffet breakfast each day and lovely staff who were attentive should you need them. Very limited parking on-site but at the time I visited this wasn't a problem and I got one of the 20 or so spots every time.
Have a great stay here! I enjoyed it - it was perfect for my needs. Thank you!

The hotel sits on a hill with nice view. Since it's not on the beach and the sea view is partially blocked by other high-rise hotels, that could block the hotel from asking full price (?). However, the area is nice and convenient with beach, restaurants, bus stops and supermarket all withing walking distance. Also, breakfast buffet is top rated with lots of varieties. Will be back next year!

Stunning views from the hotel bedroom. Very convenient for our visit to Puerto de La Cruz.

It’s was a nice stay overall. The food were delicious and the staffs are very friendly. Our room is always clean.
The location is not bad it’s about 15 minutes going to the beach and around 8 minutes to the grocery inside a small shopping mall.
It’s also near some small local restaurants. Going back to the hotel is uphill. It’s a struggle if you’re not very fit, me and my wife always have to stop halfway to catch our breath. In the room there’s no kettle provided and you have to rent the safety box.
We booked our holiday from 5-10 September 2022 which is after summer break surprisingly it’s still a little bit busy. I would like to mention Isabel from front desk as she’s very friendly and helpful all the time

Great place to stay with access to much of Puerto de la Cruz just by walking. We had to buy our own shampoo/conditioner though because the provided wasn't great.

All staff I spoke to were really friendly and helpful. I really liked the pool area as it gets sun for a large part of the day unlike some of the other hotels in the area. You also have a magnificent view of Mount Teide from the sun loungers! There are nice views out towards the sea from the other side of the hotel which I enjoyed from my balcony. I was there in February and the hotel was busy but still did not feel crowded which I really appreciate as a solo traveller. There is free parking at the front of the hotel and an amazing little tapas restaurant (El Camino) only 2 minutes walk away (if you chose not to eat in the hotel). If you want a relaxing place but still close to the tourist attractions then I recommend El Tope.

Good location. Breakfast was great. Staff nice.

Extremely bare bones room although it was spacious! I had a small corner deck and large window that took a whole wall so I was excited about all the daylight. The view however was that of what looked to be a garbage dump. Being in the second floor with easy access and a very dodgy , dark hallway directly down from me I didn’t feel overly safe. I asked to upgrade to a higher floor but they would have to charge me ten more euros a day. I felt for that rate I would go elsewhere which was a great decision. Much better value for money where I’m at now ( puerto palace). So if you stay I would highly recommend the main tower… spend the extra money for the sea views. On a positive note, Stephanie at the front desk was superb!!!

Lovely hotel with amazing views in a great location. Only downside is the walk back up but thats what you get if you want a view. There are stairs with lots of stopping spaces though if needed. Great selection for breakfast aswell.

Hotel El Tope is a well managed 4 star hotel that lives up to the expectations of a hotel of this type. Our stay was on a B & B basis and did not disappoint. The staff from reception, to front of house and housekeeping were all extremely pleasant ensuring an enjoyable stay in this comfrotable establishment. Breakfast was an extensive hot and cold buffet with something for every taste. The hot food is constanstanly replenished ensuring a quality breakfast.Poolside facilities and service are equally as good providing a relaxing space to chill. My travelling companion had a birthday during our stay and the hotel reception staff acknowleged this with a surprise hand written birthday card and a bottle of chilled sparkling wine delivered to our room on the day. A most unexpected and appreciated gesture. Thank you!

Location great for Puerto access - Food was consistent with all inclusive buffet style - Feel the staff numbers were short & appeared very busy in the dining area -

When it says it has parking that deceiving as there is maybe 20 spots and it’s a huge hotel. Also my WiFi in my room never worked and the front desk never fixed after requesting help several times. The lady at the front desk gave local suggestions and a map with free places to park if they were open, if not you can park at the hotel next door for 5 euros a night.

Men in the reception were in a wrong profession. They blurted out responses and did not be helpful. Female officer was great. Parking area was much too small. Otherwise the hotel was clean and comfortable.

Great hotel - staff all exceptionally friendly , particularly the waiters at dinner . Nice rooms with a nice sea view and the location is great in terms of things to do around Puerto de la Cruz . Only downside is the walk down / up the hill - it can be quite testing but if you don’t mind a walk then would definitely recommend this hotel .

Simply amazing place to stay.. 5 stars from me.

Our visit was good. We were told we had a king size bed but it was 2 singles pushed together ( the ridge in the middle was uncomfortable). Also both beds sag in the middle. Each day we were spoken to in German by staff in the dining room - being in Spain i would expect spanish. Being English i would not expect to be spoken to in german every day. Thank you for our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at El Tope. Beds were a little uncomfortable and the WiFi was spotty. Evening entertainment was good.

I recently stayed at the El Tope with our 2 teenage boys. Our 2 rooms were on the lower floors, but without the view. One advantage was that we were very close to the pool. We enjoyed the table tennis, I took our own bats and balls so don't know how easy it is to borrow them. Also the pool game. The swimming area was pleasant, near the tropical garden and cafe area. For breakfast, there was bacon, eggs, sausages, cold meats and cheese, bread, juice, sparkling wine!! and more. The evening meal offered a choice of 8 or more options, plus soups. apperitifs, salads and and a large selection of puddings. We did have to buy our drinks though in the evening, but these were much cheaper than at a cafe we went to in Puerto. There was parking outside the hotel, but rather limited. To get a place, one needed to be there before early evening. Our rooms were of a reasonable standard. 2 singles, plus table and chairs for socialising. The bathrooms had a nice bath, with shower option. TV channels were variable and we spent most time watching BBC world news and CNN as there were not really any other English channels with a good reception. The hotel was well positioned. It was near the centre and a shopping centre with supermarket. As it was on the hill, there was a large number of steps to go up from the shopping centre to reach the hotel. All in all, I liked the hotel and would go back there again. The facilites were very reasonable, the food good and the staff very helpful.

This is the third time of staying at the El Tope Hotel and the staff and general facilities within the hotel are excellant. They provide both courtesy quality without interferring with the guests daily activities.
