So So. We booked for the whole day, but really only required it for four hours rest. There were minuses experienced within this time frame however. When I asked a staff member to change a five hundred rupee note, he scrutinized it very blatantly in front of third parties for several moments. His actions appeared to be exaggerated and designed in my opinion, to make me look suspicious in public view. This was uncalled for.
Later when I said we would like to use our room to rest for a few hours, a staff member gave me such an inquiring scrutiny, I had to enquire if this was alright. Very unfriendly and I definitely would not recommend to a friend on this basis alone. Sorry.

All good, except a fact that we were under an impression that the on-line booking done was with complementary breakfast. The hotel has charged us for Breakfast stating the booking is only for room rent

We booked online a executive double room for 2 nights from 08.03.2015 till 10/03/2015 . The confirmation vouchers were submitted to the hotel authorities at the time of checkin. the first night at the hotel went of well. On the second day , the hotel management raised the issue of room booking and refused to give the room keys saying that the booking for the day was not confirmed. We insisted that confirmation vouchers for both days were already submitted to them at the time of checkin. After a lot of insistence, they agreed but Mr. Y.K. Verma, General Manager raised the issue that the hotel had not received their payment for the room. We told them that the room had been booked thru EXPEDIA. COM and the entire amount as stated was paid thru credit card at the time of booking. The same was also being reflected on the confirmation voucher issued by EXPEDIA.COM. But Mr. Verma refused to acknowledge the receipt of payment and insisted that we should get it clarified from EXPEDIA. He refused to speak to the EXPEDIA saying that it was none of his business and he was not bothered. The onus was on us to get the same clarified. Nevertheless we contacted the EXPEDIA call centre and got the matter clarified to the satisfaction of the hotel authorities. All this while the hotel refused entry and kept us waiting at the lobby. As if all this mental torture and agony was not enough, Mr. Y.K. Verma once again came up and raised another dispute by saying that the room tariff received by themw

It is well located with good clean rooms. The manager was very courteous and shifted us to another room which was recently renovated and the kids enjoyed their stay. Could not use the pool but the pool slide was very tempting for the kids.
Breakfast was good but did not like the idea of chargeable WiFi. Should be free maybe a limit can be set per room.
Overall good. shall visit again.

The hotel was clean but the laundry was dirty and towels were awful. Breakfast plan should be added. The bearer and staff of Noorjahan welcome the guests with"It is Rs.250 plus tax will you like to join"? This put you off.

We booked 2 rooms, one on the main floor and one on the second floor. My brother and his friends had the second floor room, which didn't have hot water. My main floor room had plenty of hot water but smelled moldy.
This is an older hotel, the wifi was down. There was a restaurant downstair and all sort of 4 star services. I never tried those services. It was walking distance to the Taj Mahal.
Depending where you come from, you might hate this hotel or show difference. It reminds my brother and I of our grandma's place in Malaysia. However, my western friends might heavily object. Amazing by Indian standards but westerns might be disappointed. The hotel was fully booked with Indian (travel during Christmas) - so it is acceptable to some.

The worst part of this hotel is the staff- they are rude and unwilling to help. There were some issues with my paid reservation through expedia and they were unwilling to help, give me a room or even refund my money. They were so rude about everything. The rooms and facilities are ok but not worth the money they are asking. You can get so much better in Agra for the price they ask.

After moving rooms twice due to them being damp and dirty it didnt improve. Were kept up all night with a party which the staff refused point bank to tell the guests leaving the party to keep the noise down. There were 4 different guests at reception all night complaining about the noise but the manager would not tell the party guest to keep the noise down.

I arrived after a delayed train from Delhi - while the taxi was arranged by the hotel (500) I was not pleased that the contact information for the taxi was changed but I was not told and then the driver LAUGHED at me because it was Friday and the Taj was closed - the only reason icame to Agra. Fine. No water in my room (drinking jug or fridge) when FINALLY brought they wanted 60 even though the menu said 50. Add to that the room boy who came in, I opened the door, (just after I took a shower) to bring the water - and REMOVED my towel to wrap me in a new fluffy towel, saying its ok - you are like my grandmother I am a 50 year old woman - this was WAY inappropriate! i was stunned. The coffee setup was missing, the internet never worked (you go down and buy a password for 60 -I think might have been 50- for 30 mins. The reception desk staff constantly stops listening (on the phone or in person ) and turns their attention to whomever walks up next. Price - ok. hassle un-happiness WAY not ok.

The Hotel is good bet for money paid but leaves a bit to desire. The restaurant is good and the dishes excellent. The rooms are fairly big and well kept. The only thing that goes against the hotel is its House keeping. The towels were very old and extensively used, and the linen was poor quality. Finally the staff, they were overbearing and pushy at times.

The hotel was so old and the room was not clean that we could not enjoy a minute of our stay.
There were bugs, especially cockroaches, everywhere in the room; we could not sleep because of them a whole night. More, the hotel was smeling of pesticides all the time!! All our clothing was smelling Pesticides as well. The windows were not opening!!
Another problem was around 4 am in the morning our room doot was opened by somebody else. We got up with the noise of the door and shouted to the person on the door! There was no answer. Because of the shock and the horror we could not sleep again.
İn short, that would be better for anyone not to stay at Amar.
