The hotel was fine for what we needed it for, which was a visit to the botanical garden for Xmas! The heat system was quite loud, beds a little too soft. Overall fine, we did not visit the continental breakfast.

Hotel is so so, nothing special, use to be alot better. Breakfast was very basic, not that appetizing. Room was mostly clean, bed had some kind of matress pad under the sheets that always seemed kind of clumped up, not the most comfortable, the top sheet was put on our bed sideways, kind of strange. Toilet was broken from first day, flushed then water would run constantly. Told mgr, he got someone to look at it, then it would flush but run every 2-3 minutes then off again, constantly wasting water and causing noise. Mgr said parts were not available because it was Columbus weekend, we were there thursday thru the following thursday checkout. I guess no holiday sales at Lowe's or Home depot in Maine. Air conditioner/ heating unit mounted in window was so loud even on low blower you could not hear the tv when it came on, luckily it also drowned out the constantly running toilet. Other than these minor issues the trip was great.

The lights above the bed didn’t work. The only light that worked was on the wall and the light switch for it was next to the door. I had to ask the desk clerk to turn on the light because that switch didn’t even turn on the light at first. I asked for a room with lights on the bed and was told there wasn’t another room. There were plenty of unoccupied rooms. The heater was very loud every time it kicked on

The hotel was a good value, not high-end but convenient and fairly comfortable. We arrived a few minutes early and were told, by a not very friendly clerk, that we could check in “early” for $25. We chose to drive around and come back in 25 minutes. This struck us as very unusual, and unfortunately set a negative tone for the start of our three-day stay. However, the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a decent breakfast each day and found our room adequate. I must add that the lighting in the room was terrible; no overhead light and minuscule reading lamps over the bed. On the plus side, the water in the shower was instantly hot and at full pressure; the towels were large and thick; and there was a newish (aqua-colored) fridge and microwave reminiscent of the 1950s (but they worked well.) Would we stay here again? Probably not, but if your travel budget is limited the Flagship Inn would be okay. There is a nice looking outdoor pool but they were shutting it down for the winter while we were there; not the season for outdoor swimming, not their fault.

What a pleasant experience! Our room was immaculate, it looked like no one had been there before. The shower was amazing, the towels were soft, the fridge and microwave were retro modern and adorable! The tv was large, the bed was good…. The staff made check in quick and easy, no issues whatsoever! We come to the area at least once a year and we will stay here every time going forward.

A solid clean room with 1/2 mile of walking to Boothbay harbor. 2 stories high, no elevators. Less expensive than those around it. It fit our needs well

I reserved a deluxe king and when I arrived they said I had a deluxe double, they didn’t have any kings left. Showed him on my phone what it said but he said it didn’t matter. The pool was very nice, the jets not working in the jacuzzi. Breakfast was good, variety was good , the room had been updated since last visit but had no hairdryer, no place to hang towels, no trash can, a few things that need attention still. It was clean in the room. . For a one night stay it was ok except for having to sleep in a double bed when asked for king.

Not terrible. Okay for a one night stay. Too far away for us to walk to town on the side of the highway. No restaurants to walk to. $10 each for a breakfast buffet was too much. We found nice breakfast restaurants in town. We will get a place in town next time.

One star for being remodeled. One star for being as clean as expected. Minus one star for not having a hairdryer as advertised, and minus another star for the front desk making up reasons why they couldn't provide one for me and trying to placate me by saying they've ordered all new ones. Because if you've ordered new ones that means you know yours are broken, so should either have a few spare on hand for guests in need--or don't advertise you have them. Or don't try to say every room is fully booked so there's no way you could get one from another room.

Very dirty, railings, deck were not painted, dirty. Staff was not very friendly at all.. Weed wacking grass instead of mowing...really!! Very, very poor...terrible amenities

The staff was excellent, especially Vee. We enjoyed having a quick breakfast of cereal and coffee before heading out for the day. The room had just been cleaned when we arrived. The Flagship is a basic lodging option--not fancy but clean, convenient, affordable and very well cared for. It's an excellent place to stay in a touristy town full of much pricier options. Thank you, Flagship. We'll be back!

Conditions were average. We couldn’t use the tv since the remote was missing. The manager did come to our room twice to try to help but also couldn’t find the remote. He turned the tv on manually but we couldn’t so it was useless.

Our sheets were dirty - late at night so we slept on top of covers. There were no washclothes. My feet were dirty again after I walked from shower to chair to put my shoes/socks on. Breakfast was terrible. Not a pleasant experience at all!

Not the cleanest. Property needs attention. Floors, walls dinged up and worn. Bedding and bathrooms stained and worn. Ok for a quick nights stay, but would rather not stay again.

This was the best place out of all the lodging we’ve had on our 6-week journey. The owners are wonderful. We could not believe the beautiful breakfast they served us. The grounds are spectacular with amazing views. I would stay here again. It’s a hidden gem for sure!!

While the room was clean, the beds were horrible. Very uncomfortable and felt damp. There was no phone in the room so you had to go to the office if you needed anything. The pool was open but the restaurant was,closed. Overall, dissatisfied considering the cost.

There were no instructions on operating the television in the room. Bathroom ceiling peeling and shower curtain did not appear clean.

I think the towel holder in the bathroom could have been changed to something newer and not so rusted. It was a little off putting, but the atmosphere and rooms were very comfortable. It was little annoying to have to go out for breakfast instead of being able to have in on site.

It was a convenient location. For some reason the tv wouldn’t show any live programming. I heard that the property was recently sold so maybe that was the reason it was just okay.

Great breakfasts at Mama D’s in town with hotel voucher. The property itself seems to have been recently updated a bit. The room was clean and the staff helpful.
