If you get a single room upstairs be prepared to lug your luggage up high pitch he’d stairs. Although a nice gentleman on a golf cart offered to take our bags up the stairs. Room had a hair in the sink when we arrived and tiny ants. We informed the front desk. Great location. Good value. On site resorption had really good food at a fair price. Parking was very poor.

Food and food service were below average.
Everything else was good.

The price/quality ratio of the booked room is not correct. The room is way too small. The beds and pillows are bad. I had to get toilet paper from reception myself.
My complains about the refrigerator not working properly were not addressed.

Excellent location near Jan Thiel Beach and the nearby beach clubs. Breakfast options were decent as well. However, the reason for my lower rating is the staff—absolutely unfriendly, and outside check-in/check-out hours, it's impossible to find anyone. The staff at the hotel restaurant Don's, were even worse. On our first night, we chose to dine there, arriving with 40 minutes left before closing. We were greeted with cold, unfriendly attitudes. After waiting 30 minutes for our meals, a server finally came back to inform us that the kitchen had closed. Yes, we waited 30 minutes only to be told this. The cleaning service either, only occurs after 3 days.

Everything was great. No complaints

The property is nice and well kept. The staff isn't very helpful especially at the front desk. There was a broken light in our suit i asked them to fix it three times, never got fixed. My oven was broke took three days to replace. This was my second time staying here, my first stay was great. I have to say the service declined. My girlfriend stayed in a single room. It was roach filled and the bathroom light was on a sensor so you had to keep moving around for the lights to stay on. It wasn't horrible but they can improve. Pool area is nice with free cabanas!!

Nice resort, our family stayed here in Aug 2024. Nice rooms, but rather dark and plain. Rooms were clean and safe. Reception staff were friendly and we had no problems. Parking was available for free in the resort as we had a rental car. Restaurant food was average, the menu was largely pasta, pizza, and hamburgers. There is a main pool in the centre of the resort which is large and clean. The resort is a 2 minute walk to the gorgeous Jan Thiel beach area. You get a free entry pass from staying at this resort, anyway entry fee is only like 3USD without the pass. You will need a rental car to get to this resort from the airport, or you will have to take a taxi which will likely be upwards of 40USD one way as the ride takes 20 to 30 minutes from the airport. This resort is about a 15 to 20 minute drive from the centre of Willemstad, but the proximity to Jan Thiel beach is worth it because there arent any beaches like that in town. Also good to stay near Jan Thiel beach if you are thinking to go to Klien Curacao island because many of the catamarans to that island leave rom Jan Thiel beach

Restaurant atention by the restaurant crew was pretti bad, it look like they dont want we ask for meals or drinks

Property was amazing. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else. It was beautiful, within walking distance of the beach and restaurants. Staff was friendly. 10/10.
There was urine on our toilet when we arrived but they quickly cleaned it. Everything else was spotless. Good at the hotel wasn’t great but there are a tone of restaurants nearby so we didn’t mind much. I’d stay here again.

Close to the beach, great staff, good breakfast !

Most of the staff were nice and willing to help if asked. There is no bell boy to bring your luggage to your room. Had to walk up a hill with all of our luggage and coats to our room. Furniture was dated. The deluxe room we reserved was not deluxe a King bed and a sofa with sheets and a fridge. Towels were limited, sheets on our beds were stained but once I told the front desk they changed them no working telephone in the room ants and roaches were in the room and then I found ants in my pocketbook. would not recommend or stay here ever again.

The staff at the front desk was horrible.
impolite it seems like he hates her job
The access area to the pool is dirty, the bathrooms are horrible.
Then you get to your room and forget everything.
Very cozy, clean and with all the utensils to spend a pleasant vacation
If I had arrived alone at the lobby I would not have stayed at the hotel
If the management improves the cleanliness and ensures that the employees are attentive, it can become a 5-star hotel.

The area was very nice. It was close to Jan Thiel Beach where you can find many dining options, and far enough you won't hear the partying of drunk kids. There's a convenience store Van De Tweel nearby.
The frontdesk people were great, they work hard (they need a raise) but I never received the expedia VIP access but the apartment I stayed was great although I have to wait for there check in time at 4pm, 4 hours of waiting coz they don't do early check-ins. Rooms are newly renovated and the housekeeping was thoughtful, they brought me a hanging rack after seeing me drying my suits on the table.
I had a problem asking for hot water at the cafe, it took the girl 10 mins before recognizing me while she was messing up the lattes so many times, clearly she needs some training and maybe a nicer attitude. And the Jan Thiel Dive Shop is located outside the property and that's a plus. I'd stay here again.

Staff was beyond welcoming. There is a little supermarket outside near the beach and has all essentials. You will need an outlet converter!

The only thing I like about this hotel is that it's close to the beach. The hotel room I stayed in was outdated. We were supposedly VIP access (paid for) but no VIP service was given. They give you a free bottle of water in the room when you check in however never replenish. There are no phones in the room so if you need the front desk you have to walk to it...they give you a whatsapp number to call or write but they never respond and leave you on read. Parking is terrible so you have to drive around the property to look for parking. Lastly there is no concierge service so you have to lug your luggage around yourself up the hill looking for your room. I saw an older couple walking around trying to find their room and were lost. I felt bad as they were older and the gentleman had a leg issue because I saw he was limping...they clearly needed help. So I offered to help them find their room. This hotel is old and lacks service I would never recommend or stay here again.

The property was close to the beach. There were dining options close by. Staff in general were very helpful. The restaurant was okay. Cleaning was hit and miss. One day no cleaning because of a shortage of staff. A local shuttle would have been nice to have.

The covers on the beds of the cabana’s by the pool were very dirty and/or moldy The complex was really nice and so was the staff

Good hotel in a great location. About 5 minute walk to Jan Thiel Beach. Lots of dining nearby. Resort is well maintained. Rooms are fine, nothing to write home about. I will say that our room smelled intensely of lemon grass cleanser, it was very very strong. Also a lizard was in the room, but I was told this was normal when I asked reception for help getting it out. I know this is the Caribbean but I was quite surprised by the amount of lizards and chameleons I saw on the property. For me this was a bit… uncomfortable. Anyway, the pool area is quite nice and the hotel has a restaurant that stays open late. Overall I would recommend anyone to stay here mainly because of the location. If you are not a sensitive to strong smells and not afraid of reptiles than you will have an excellent stay, if you are than consider staying just a few nights.

Jan Thiel, the area where the hotel is situated is the best overall place in Curacao

Dirty pool area. Dirty cushions. Guests seem overly entitled with bad manners and poor hygiene. Not at all what I expected.

This is a great spot if you're looking to spend a few days relaxing - the rooms are clean and the kitchenette and private patio make it feel homey. The pool was lovely and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Good attractive property and very convenient, lack of sun beds.

Given a room not cleaned when we walked in. Given another room ac not working. This hotel is dirty. White sheet were stained. Pool chairs were all badly stained. Pool was not swimable because of all the debris in it. Restaurant staff was 1 person who watched us as we sat for 1/2 hour then came and told us they weee closed and would reopen later. Not sure when though?!?

The property is dated and was unclean in the kitchen. nothing to clean plates or counter top. Toilet was separate
from the shower and sink.

The villa we stayed in was very spacious with ensuite bathrooms which accommodated our group quite well. Only thing is there was a funny smell on the date of check in and many of the facilities were a bit dated (cracks on the wall, porch furniture dirty etc). However, the surroundings seemed upkept on a regular basis. We were also able to park right infront the villa which was excellent. The staff at breakfast and the front desk were also very pleasant and welcoming.
Cons:
The breakfast was pretty much the same daily with absolutely no variety for non meat eaters.
There weren't enough lounge chairs/cabanas for all guests to relax at the pool.
There was no phone in the villa to contact the front desk so we had to use our personal phone or walk to the area to get service.
The cost for laundry was high and the facilities unsavoury as you had to wash in the housekeeping area which was not set up properly for use by guests. It was a big displeasure for me.
Nonetheless it was a good stay!
