Dirty floor, smelly inside, dirty and plugged sink - not usable.

Sounded like an alarm went off all night
8.0 / 10.0
Friendly staff and clean room.
There is no elevator and it was a bit of a challenge for us older folks to get our luggage up the stairs.

Noise & smell from staff smoking under room window was annoying

Apparently this motel's offering is in no way connected the their Expedia website. They dont serve breakfast, they charge 2x more for having a pet, and they truly could not care less. Very expensive and the rooms are cheap motel style. I have no idea. Never again!

Quaint little hotel. Room was clean. Maps leads to wrong entrance. Staff super friendly. Road very busy and close. Thought there was a breakfast, there wasn’t. Bed was comfy. Would stay again, reasonable price.

USB ports would be nice. Small night stand by both sides of beds would be nice. 4 towels for a room with 2 queen beds. Some sort of breakfast. Carpets are wore out. However- the beds were really comfortable and they were very accommodating when I made sure our room was not one of their pet friendly rooms.

Property was close to our next point of interest.

Check in was quick and employee was efficient. Our room was nice ( upper floor) . My mom and sister had a room on the ground level that had an awful dog smell. Pool looked clean. Looked like they had nice bbq areas. Some old hotel furniture outside the building needs to be removed. Other customers had an unsavory vibe.

Overall place was ok but some of the fixtures in room needed replacing like lamp shades and desk chair.

Fidalgo Country Inn is conveniently located. Staff were friendly and we didn't have any issues at check in like some reviews reported. Room was spacious and everything worked fine, clean bathroom. It's an old hotel that hasn't seen upgrades. But knowing that it served our purpose well and we were able to get 3 rooms on short notice. The upstairs rooms were nicer.

Very close to everything we wanted to visit. Parks very close to catch the ferry to the other islands .

It has a very unpleasant smell from the moment you enter, the bathroom smells like pure urine

Room was larger than expected and comfortable. Staff was welcoming and the location is 20 paces from a restaurant, bar, gas station, convenience store and coffee hut. It couldn't be more convenient. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to explore Anacortes and San Juan Islands.

Property is very run down. The secured door on outside was broken on back side anyone could get in. Hot tub was not working, carpet in faculty needs to be replaced, hair around bottom of toilet, broken desk.

They were very friendly & helpful. We were there for a week and cleaned when we asked, but stayed out when we didn't. Plenty of ice, free laundry.
Older estanlishment, but well kept up.

Charged me $25.00, saying i took a face cloth and a hand towel. Called 4 times and manager never called me back. Since i had to go to the front desk and ask for 2 towels for the pool which i received 2 hand towels. So instead of me being accused of taking 2 towels they should have had 2 extra towels. Very sneaky. Never had this happen to me before in my 40 uears of traveling.

the stay was fine, the issue is they kept my 50 dollar deposit because I spilled coffee on my sheets , anyone out there knows you can get coffee or blood stains out of sheets, furthermore Ive called 9 times I've left an email and no call back, they said call between 10 and 2 , I did ,why don't they call me , I will never stay again , totally unprofessional

The bedding in our room really needs to be updated. The bedspread & blanket seemed very old. The fan in the bathroom was very loud. Otherwise, it was a fairly pleasant stay.

Horrible... Horrible... HORRIBLE! This was probably the worst hotel i have stayed at since the slums of the Marine Corps days, and that was 1990. This placs was just dirty, and everything seemed broken. Dont even get me going on the shower/bath area. Just stay away and get something downtown. And its right on the highway, but you have to drive an extra mile away, in the opposite direction, and do a loop around, just to get back to the highway to drive to Anacortes. This place overall is bad. Thought we would save a few bucks. Not worth it at all. We went home early and didn't even stay our last night. Avoid this place.

Unfortunately, the bathroom had mold around the tub & the bathroom floor & floorboards were dirty. Couldn’t bring ourselves to use the shower.
The outward appearance of the motel was nice & the staff were pleasant & helpful.

Drapes were broken. Drywall under bathroom sink was patched with cardboard and duck tape. Mold in bathroom sink under rim. Lap shades broken and mismatched. Hair dryer torn off wall.

TV did not work and they charge me a lot more than the quoted price

I have done reviews for hotels before and the final numerical result comes out different from what I would actually give the hotel. I would rate this place between 7 to 7.5. The location is great. Room was clean. My room faced the country restaurant. Very noisy traffic, but wasn’t a big issue for me. Might be for some. The windows were quite dirty and looking out of them was a constant reminder. The glass doorway to get outside was also filthy and the stains on the hall carpets that look like they have been bleached in those areas, is not very appealing. The room was fine though, except it did have some weird odour on my second night. The bathroom pipes or sewage smell coming from somewhere. I didn’t say anything to the staff because I wasn’t there much. Only to sleep. There are various pieces of garbage strewn outside of the property. Easy to clean up. Just do it once a day. Staff were nice except the guy with the long hair tied back. I arrived at 2:46pm. He moaned because I was early. I went and waited in my car. Went back in at 2:57pm to check in. As soon as I walked in the door, he didn’t look at me, he looked right at the clock and miserably said, there’s still 3 minutes left. I’ve never ever had any hotel motel clerk do that or be so miserable. That right there made me want to say I am not staying here. Based on that I would give the place a zero rating. The rest of the staff were nice. Good location and okay place to stay for a night or two. Clean up the property tho.

My flight got delayed and thought i was going to loose it but they held on to it until
i got There. Check in was fast and easy and the staff made sure i had fresh coffee and the room stayed clean. I was excited. They made me feel like i was partof their family. I will stay here again and again if im ever in Washington again.

The room smelled like cigarettes, the highway noise was loud all night, and other guests were extremely loud all night. In the morning, it was clear there had been an altercation as giant planters were turned over. Did not feel very safe and would not recommend for anyone who isn’t a very deep sleeper.

Nice room but had a few issues. Fireplace didn't work, no tv in the bedroom, hair dryer missing from the wall. Overall just a little run down. Could use an update but not bad for the price. Seemed pretty clean and staff was friendly.

We knew we were staying cheap, but did not anticipate the noise from both the highway right outside the door, the people wandering past our room, the noise from surrounding rooms ,and the people hanging out and sleeping(?) in the parking lot. The hotel said it offered a breakfast. It didnt. It was not a good start to our vacation

We were spending a few days in town and on the beach with our dog and this place was exactly what we needed. A place to crash at the end of a busy day . We will totally stay here again. A lot of reviews complained about them not having a breakfast but there is a diner and mini mart in the parking lot right next to it . It was easy to get a snack when we forgot to go to the grocery store and didn’t feel like driving. Solid location . Friendly staff. We had a great time !
