Wonderful experience staying at Zephyr Cove!

Front desk clerk was nice and accommodating. Great location and price. Only negative was there that there were several small spiders and webs in the cabin. Ended up taking some home in my luggage.

Everything is pretty good except the heater. It's super loud and noise. I can hardly sleep over the night.

I felt like this place was in an excellent location and pretty clean. The pillow cases had a couple of small discoloration spots, and the ceiling fan could has used a pretty good dusting. Other than that.. clean. The furnace heater was SUPER dated and ticked for about 5-10 min before it actually lit. Huge delay in starting but it worked. Microwave was very old as well. For $200 a night, it’s easy to provide an upgraded microwave. Everything else was awesome, and very satisfactory. I will go back!

We stayed for the weeked and enjoyed every minute! Cabins are small but well done. A 2 minute walk to the beach, restaurant, bar, gift shop. Perfect location - far enough away from the beach to be peaceful and quiet, but close enough to be on the beach quickly....

The hotel is very well maintained and the staff is extremely helpful and friend. Beautiful location on Lake Tahoe. Very close to my final destination.

The location was fantastic. The staff was great and very helpful. I liked having the restaurant on-site--good breakfast menu--lunch and dinner menu was limited.
The cabin itself appeared a bit dated. The shower stall and curtain needed updating. The carpet needed vaccuuming.

We stayed actually in one of the lodge rooms, very comfortable, and warm on a winter day. There was a smell of mold in the room, but not sure what that was about.
We wanted to request an early check in and found it quite difficult to reach the front desk. Once we did, however, they were very flexible and accommodating. Overall it was a nice stay

This was a cabin site and right on Lake Tahoe and it was beautiful.

We liked the cabin very much. The only problem was that the carpet between bathroom and bed room was soaked not sure if the toilet had a problem or not but I think so because when toilet was flushed you could hear it in the shower.

First off, I'd like to say that I wish i was able to stay another night at this place but due to our circumstances, it wasn't possible. Anywho, worst part of the place was that, apparently, after 11pm there is no front desk or any available staff other than security. So i would suppose that if you need anything, you should go ahead and order it before 11pm.
I arrived at the hotel around 1130pm and no staff was anywhere to be found. Luckily, there was a wedding going on and we found someone that could direct us. Ended up going across the street to the campgrounds and found an envelope with my last name on it taped to an office.
The cabin was pretty cozy. But I wish I could have talked to someone to get a couple extra things for the night (extra toiletries, etc.). It was 1130pm though.
Woke up in the morning to head out. Checked out over the phone. Stayed in the room without ever seeing staff.
Would I book again? Yeah, probably. The cabins were right next to the lake and it was just beautiful. I just wish there was staff available at all times.

Really nice place right on the beach! Each cabin is seperate so its very quiet. They have nice picnic areas outside the cabins. And pets are welcome, wish I would have known. It would have been nice to have our dogs. Overall we really liked the cabin and everything was clean, and we look forward to returning.

These cabins were right on Lake Tahoe and the location of the paddlewheel boat tours. It was very convenient to all other sites, too. Great experience for cabins.

Overpriced, the room was billed as a cute cabin near the water with a deck looking over Lake Tahoe. We were given the worst cabin (#2) which was basically sitting on Highway #50, extremely noisy! The shower was the smallest shower I have ever stood in, couldn't even pick up a bottle of shampoo! Shower curtain was stinky and moldy. Ants were roaming the kitchen, fridge needed a good scrubbing. We had no view of the water, sun was directly over our deck so made it hard to sit out during the day. If you get a larger cabin, closer to the water and with a lake view, you would probably be okay - make sure you ask!

Have stayed twice in studio cabins, one had couch which was nicer for sitting and the other only had a bed. On the lake and next to US forest land, so it's very scenic and a great area to walk the dog. Like having a stand alone cabin, so noise was never an issue.
Studio cabins are small, good for a short stay. Pet fee was $15 extra a night. Cancellation fee is $20.

This was our first trip to Zephyr Cove and I was quiet surprised. The studio cabins were small but cozy (and the price was right). It we go back and are staying longer, I would probably upgrade to a larger cabin or one with a fire place. They have all sorts of options for every budget. The basic cabin worked great for us this time. Service was exceptional.

The cabin was bigger and better than anything we expected. And the price we payed was a phenomenal price considering the location and quality of the cabins and the resort. The staff was friendly and the Cabin was comfortable and well equipped with everything we needed including a full kitchen stocked with appliances and cookware. I would recommend that anyone looking for a comfortable getaway stay here and you wont be let down. I will definitely make this one of my regular vacation destinations for a very long time to come.

My friend and I were on a ski vacation. We wanted to be warm, comfortable, and able to cook our meals. We were not looking for luxery, so we were generally very satisfied with the accommodations. The setting is gorgeous, right on Lake Tahoe, with cross country and down hill skiing accessable and in close proximity.
The drawbacks were few but fairly significant. The cabins say that they sleep four, but they are tiny, with only one bed and a very worn, uncomfortable sofa bed in the same little room. There is no way that anyone would want to squeeze four people in; and the two sleeping on the sofa bed would be very grumpy after a night on its thin, lumpy mattress. They also would have been cold as there was only one blanket per bed. Fortunately, we brought sleeping bags and a fold out sleeping mat.
The kitchen was adequate for cooking, but lacked in basic pots and pans. I had to use the small fry pan as a lid for the large one. We needed a couple of large bowls and a pan large enough for pasta. I had the feeling that they did not really expect people to cook dinners, but that is a favorite part of our vacationing! And, it would be an economic necessity for many.
Over all, I loved the place and would definitely go back, but to a bigger cabin.

If you are a big Lake Tahoe summer sports junkie, you probable know about Zephyr Cove. It's a delightful rest stop for the casual nature visitor too! 4 miles for California state line, 72 mile trek around the lake with dramatic and magnificent nature views, plus casinos if you want them. Lots of family activities as well as just plain romantic privacy if that's your choice. Zephyr Cove has lodge rooms, but it's forte is the RV and camping park. Bring a pup tent and snuggle....

Our room was marginally clean at best. The bed spread had some mysterious discoloration to it. The couch had a mysterious white stain on it. Someone before us had some fun in that room. Other than that, great place to stay if traveling with dogs (we were). A 1 minute walk to the edge of Lake Tahoe is nice. Overall, very picturesque. Note to staff: Please do a better job of cleaning the rooms. Food and service in the restaurant is good.

We had an incredible time at the Cabins at Zephyr Cove. The site was beautiful, right by the beach; perfect for watching the sun set over the lake. We stayed in one of the Lodge rooms and were surprised to find out we had been upgraded to the Zephyr Suite which was huge and had an in-room hot tub! The bed was comfortable and there was a heating unit in each room. I love the ecofriendly efforts the hotel makes, especially the soap dispensers instead of little plastic bottles. The staff was friendly and the location was easy to find. I would highly recommend this location for couples looking to get away.

We stayed in a very nice small cabin with kitchen. It was well kept and clean and just a short walk to the beach. My only complaint was the noise from the highway near the back of our unit.

Perfect Tahoe location for a wedding and stay for out of town guests. We had a marvelous time at a glorious "On the Lake" wedding.

The convenience of having a restaraunt right next door and the lake a short walk away was frosting on the cake. It was a perfect stay.

The location is nice and conveniently close to shopping centers, restaurants and activities. The resort itself, however, did not offer much for the money. The cabin is big enough for a family of dwarfs. The heater makes you suffocate in the living room or bathroom, but doesnt provide enough warmth for the bedrooms, let alone its horrible noise. It is really scary to put children in the tiny bedroom on the second floor because the stairs are way too steep even for adults. Attn smokers: this place is NOT good for you (unless you dont mind to put on coats and boots each time you feel like having a cigarette. There is no roof over the porch and no place to hide, so we had to smoke in the pouring rain two days in a row (then it began to snow heavily). However, there is also some good news (no, I did not save 15% by switching to Geico:): they change linen daily, and there are TVs in the living room (accompanied by a DVD player) and master bedroom, a gas fireplace, and a full kitchen with all the kitchenware and appliances imaginable. Next to the backdoor there is a BBQ area with a grill and stuff.
