Stayed overnight prior to heading off to run the Rubicon Trail. The accommodations were good but small. Since it was just me the size was good, but it would be small for a family. The bed was decent (a little firm). I would stay again if in the area.

Great stay. The room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. We couldn't get a room with taller toilets so the clerks went out of their way to find an extension for us to use. Our only minor complaint was the ever on patio light. We wanted to enjoy the evening watching the full moon but the light was way too bright.

Place was old but very clean and it was well kept. Staff was super friendly and it was great UNTIL breakfast time came. There was hardly no food, the scrambled eggs and sausage was COLD and the pancake machine was broken :(

If I had to do this trip over, I would have stayed in Sacramento or in Tahoe… the stay in the middle area is not worth the effort. Expensive for a bed and place to stay. The staff tried to help, but you can only do so much with a deteriorating place… key issues: 1) the A/C was so loud you could barely sleep, 2) the balcony had power cables hanging just feet off the hand rail, 3) some other fan ran outside and was as loud as the A/C 4) there is no fan in the bathroom so if you showered there is no way to dispel the humidity and if you were to use the restroom there is no way to dispel the smell —— rough place to stay

Pretty easy access off Hwy 50, between two exits. Close to Safeway, gas stations and other small stores. Clean rooms. Free mini breakfast starts at 7am and typically includes scrambled eggs and sausage plus pancake machine. However, no elevator to 2nd floor.

While the property was rustic, the service was sketchy. Didn't like having the breakfast service cut shorter than time specified. Also having to tell staff to clean room, and then the trash not being taken out. We had to twice get our key cards fixed to let us in. Very annoying. Would not recommend for price paid.

We were very comfortable in the king suite at this hotel. The staff was very nice and helpful and we had a great time. Breakfast was yummy and we especially liked the pancake machine. We would definitely stay there again!

I got into town after midnight and was able to check in quickly and without any problems. The manager onsite was awesome and very friendly as well as hospitable. My suite was way larger than expected and it was already warmed up for me. My bed was amazingly comfortable with extra pillows and blankets in my room. I would highly recommend staying here if passing throughout town.

Our trip to Pollock Pines/Placerville area was to Apple Hill Farms(pumpkin patch)...Drove 4 hours for what i thought was pumpkins. On arrival i seen why the wife/kids (Boss Lady) wanted to go, a pumpkin patch like no other ive seen. Our Hotel Best Western stagecoach was literally no more than 3-4 miles on a stretch road. Surrounded by trees and wilderness was awesome, very relaxing and quiet...The staff was great, rooms were clean, and the outside all you see was trees. It was perfect for us. Definitely recommend it

Pretty clean and quiet but if you come for the pool dont waste your money it is cold as ice even if it is 90 outside. Even very motivated kids gave up. There is also a loud engine running for 5 mins every hour or so all night!

The personnel was friendly, the room for the amount of money paid ($240/night) you would expect a room in better condition. We woke up at 7am that the ac turned on, it sounded like a leaf blower! The bathroom was in need of a renovation as well. This was more like a $100 motel then a $240 one…

A great find if staying in the area. Clean, very friendly, quiet. Not the most or least scenic location, but hidden from the freeway (and vice versa). Our room had view over empty dirt lot and trees with hawks’ nest in back. Minor quibble— the disinfectant they use has a rather harsh scent. But good value and would stay again if needed to spend the night in the area.
