The hotel was really great i recomend it. Service was nice, clean rooms and delicious food. It was good vacation

Nice hotel in a great location.
I wish I knew they are undergoing major renovation on the lower level. Usually out of sight but noisy!
The food and drinks were of good quality, even if the pool bar prices are very high for self service at a 4* hotel.
Very clean hotel, even if I found the pool toilets to be out of soap quite often.
Friendly staff.

Hotel is incredibly clean. The staff are very friendly. The pool is brilliant. Our room was awesome. Excellent sea view. My two kids loved it. I want to go back to Madeira and I want to stay in oasis views again. Great food. Great for kids. Quiet. Brilliant

Amazing location, next to the ocean which was very relaxing and pleasable. The staff always worked towards our desires. Apart from the construction noises within the hotel during the day (which should was a one-time-thing according to the staff but lasted during the whole week) everything was awesome!

Too few sunbeds...
Buffet breakfast good but lacked a little compared to others.
Great area around the hotel. Not in big tourist area, therefore more Laval feel and quiet.

We had free breakfast. However our flight leave 6 am so we left 4 am and they had breakfast for us

Amazing hotel!

Beautiful property with ocean viewing rooms (partial and full), lovely promenade, clean, decent breakfast buffet, and very comfortable and spacious deluxe suites. Not too far from Funchal, if one is looking for night life, restaurants, and tours. Parking on premises is limited but free, there are paid parking options just outside the premises. I would stay here again.

Good location, friendly staff, really enjoyed it.

We are giving one star as the hotel staff double charged us for our stay and it’s been a month and we haven’t received the refund. They keep on diverting to the accounts department but no further action on it.
Truly disappointed with the service.

I liked the option of purchasing the dinner Buffett while I was there. After exploring all day it was nice to just go downstairs and enjoy the wide selection of food. I also enjoyed the bus stop right in front of the hotel that was easy to use. Everyone was friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. One thing was the pool closing hrs were at 2100 which for my family is typically the time we have winded down and are ready for a swim. I will say there was one night the front desk clerk kept the pool open a little later so we could take our time enjoying the pool so that was definitely a plus!

We were booked at the Views Baia but it was being renovated (apparently they didn’t know this a month ago when we booked). Would have preferred the Baia location, instead of middle of the city. Also cost us 50 euros extra in taxi fees.

We were moved to the Riu (same property, same company, different building). Staff was consistently happy and helpful. We were absolutely spoiled by the staff. Ex: Even after checkout, they allowed us to stay and use all facilities and enjoy any meals/drinks until our departure. The hotel and staff made the trip to Madeira unforgettable

I strongly recommend this hotel, the staff is very friendly, the food amazing, with amazing view.
Also we have a bus from the hotel to drop and pick up us in Funchal for free, the salt water pool is also amazing.
I and my family had enjoy so much this place, we love it.

Nice hotel with good pool area and breakfast. Pool bar had nice food for lunch. Dinner overpriced compared to eating off site also entertainment wasn’t great. But staff on site really helpful and pleasant

The view from my room was beautiful but the resort is old.

Great location if you're not concerned about Funchal, otherwise it's a short cab ride away. The ocean viéw and walkway are great 👍👍👍

Very good staff. Quiet. Good take off point to see other areas on the island. Loved the free shuttle to Funchal. Very close to public buses as well.

Very much enjoyed the island.

Hotel was excellent for our stay from the location, room size, kitchen facilities, etc service, great breakfast, evening entertainment and very pleasant staff. Shuttle service to Funchal a big plus and supermarket within walking distance
My only suggestions
Toiletries should expand to have separate shampoo, conditioner and body wash
WiFi not the best
Pool towel changing for a charge of one euro is annoying.
The above suggestions are based on 4 star hotels expectation

Amazing hotel with large rooms, the ocean crashing outside your window, great location, some stores also nearby, free parking on site, breathtaking views of the ocean and of the sunrise, only 20-minutes drive from Funchal. We would go back again.

Nice service, good and helping staffs. Bus service to Funchal was nice. Bed had a gap that was little bit bad. Overall it was a nice experience.

One night ok, next evening very poor, staff didnt come round tables, many customers, tired of waiting, going to the bar and being told to go back to their tables. We, and another couple, left and went to outside bars. We ordered a premium gin on first night, waiter on second night adamant they didnt stock it, even suggesting we had been given a standard gin the evening before, despite being charged more. I had to point out the bottle, which I could do because I had to come to the bar to get served again. Not good, spoilt evening for us and others.

A lovely hotel in a sleepy seaside locale, halfway between the airport and Funchal. It overlooks a small promenade, the Atlantic, and to the left, a group of quiet islands hiding the sunrise. Canico village is up the hill, with market squares and a beautiful church. From arrival to departure, everyone was friendly, helpful, and many had a cheeky sense of humour. The room was clean, had comfy chairs and beds, a kettle and lots of Tetley teabags, a concession to being a Brit abroad. This is a Green hotel, with good credentials and equipment. There is a triple recycling bin in the room, and no little bottles in the bathroom, but you do get good quality soaps and shampoos in wall dispensers; Id equate it to between Dove and Molten Brown. There are outside and inside pools, and a hot tub. The spa includes steam room and sauna, and treatment rooms. Theres an outdoor gym, and an indoor one. They even have a nice sized veg and herb garden, used in the kitchens.Food was good, and breakfast had subtle changes everyday, so that youd always find something from freshly made omelettes through cereals, cold meats, cheeses, breads, 1, 3 and 6 minute boiled eggs, bacon, sausages, etc, etc. You could even have a glass of fizz, if youre celebrating.Out and about are hotels, bars, cafes and supermarkets. Everything from posh nosh to locals enjoying an end to their day. We will return, hopefully soon.
