The front desk staff was amazing. Welcome drink was a nice touch. They have many amenities at the hotel. Like cafe, restaurant and bar/lounge. I liked the style and views from my room. Their products are nice and I felt well taken care of. Check out and in was easy.

Very, very nice hotel in the midst of everything. Nice rooms which delivers as promised. Especially the concierge delivered service beyond belief (sadly I don't remember his name). The service by the hostess in the rooftop bar were horrendous - never experienced anyone looking so sad for being at work. Sadly my experience were ruined a bit after coming home, as I felt overcharged by the final bill. I've been trying to get in touch with the hotel since, but have heard no response what so ever. I cannot give a lower rating than I did, as the hotel overall was amazing, but this situation stops me from wanting to visit or recommend Pendry, regretfully.

Pendry Chicago doesn’t recognize bookings through hotels.com. So even though I booked through Hotels.com, I was still charged when I got there. So I was charged with hotels.com and then I was charged with them, so I paid double. I was told I would get a refund from Pendry Chicago for the mistake, but I have yet to see my money back. In addition to being double charged, there were a bunch of mysterious charges that popped up on my card from Pendry Chicago during my stay so in addition to accidentally being charged $1420 for three days, I was also charged a mysterious $860… for what - incidentals? And I was also charged an additional $400 for what - incidental charges? I have no idea what any of these charges were for so basically in the end I was in $2600 with Pendry Chicago for nothing. With respect to my stay, although the hotel is nice and the staff are friendly, the neighborhood is incredibly noisy. I expected maybe some soundproof windows, something to keep the noise out since it’s on Michigan Avenue, but there was no such thing. You can hear everything into the night - everything from people to sirens to dogs barking. This hotel is not worth all of the double charges and the restless nights.

Meh. There are comparably priced places that have better style and far friendlier staff. The staff were helpful, but some of the desk people seemed really overwhelmed and stressed. That vibe is kinda contagious. Also, my reservation said it would have a river view and it definitely did not. Didn't address it cause I just didn't want to deal with them.

I always stay at the Pendry. The upper floors are quiet and so comfortable. I sleep like a baby. The lobby and restaurants are great. Really comfortable bar with excellent service and fires. Rooftop deck, just a really nice example of understated luxury.

The Hotel was nice and clean with a good location to explore downtown Chicago. That being said, Hotel management did not mention that there will be roadblocks to the Hotel on Mexican Independence day or offer any guidance on how to get to the Hotel by Uber/Lyft, as the freeways were closed and we had to walk 1 mile from the closest roadblock. We were forced to pay $38 for a rickshaw to get us closer to the Hotel. We stayed here from Friday evening until Monday morning and did not get any sleep due to cars revving their engines, removing their mufflers, shooting fireworks in the air and honking until about 4am every night with drunk drivers being allowed to be on the roads (apparently a tradition in Chicago). According to the Concierge, this was all normal and expected, which is very concerning and was not not communicated to us by management before or during our stay at all. If you are looking for a clean, nice hotel, close to downtown, I recommend staying somewhere else with better noise isolation and management, who cares about customer satisfaction and does not respond with an attitude to their guests' questions/concerns. There are much better options in this price range in the area.

My husband and I recently eloped and stayed The Pendry, and we couldn’t be happier with our choice! The staff went above and beyond to make our special day perfect. When they found out we were getting married, they upgraded us to the gorgeous city view suite, which was the perfect backdrop for our celebration. We were also thrilled to see how dog-friendly the hotel is. Our pup was welcomed with a personalized bed that made him feel right at home. Although the rooftop was closed for an event, we were more than satisfied with the fantastic bar and restaurant downstairs. The food and drinks were excellent, adding to the overall great experience. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommend Pendry to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable experience!

Everything but Valet. 79.00 a night is taking advantage of your guests on a 200.00 a night stay. It overshadows a great stay. Specifically because it took 45 mins for car to be retrieved the 2 times we needed it.

This hotel was gorgeous, vintage, smelled fantastic, staff was lovely, and they had quite literally the best shower I’ve ever enjoyed. Do yourself a favor and book a corner room, the views were stunning. The rooftop bar was also a perfect place to have a drink and unwind after a long day.

Lovely hotel, basic, plain decor in-room with touches of interest in the tile that seemed to reflect the history and style of the building. Check-in line was lengthy but staff was kind. The room service availability was nice. I booked this hotel and room for several reasons- the tie-breaker was that it was listed with a tub… but there was no tub. Hotels.com refunded me $24… okay, but I would have went with a much less costly hotel if I knew there was no tub. Last, the hotel was LOUD. Very little sleep because of the very loud traffic all night, and very little soundproofing.
