Great one night stay after the ferry ride. Close to grocery, very walkable town. Room was great, view was awesome!!

Could not find a name on the hotel. Whalers restaurant was closed both nights we were there.
Nice location near stores and restaurants. Pretty with the harbor nearby.

Under construction

Nice as always, bit of construction on so parking limited and restaurant closed, but otherwise good stay.

Beautiful spacious room with queen and single bed. Very spacios bathroom. Good views across to the ferry from 2nd floor, and wool blankets in cupboard so you can sit outside and watch sun go down. Good winter rate. A lift so no need to drag bags up stairs. Only cautions are (a) low handrails on narrow upper floor landing for those who dont like heights and (b) old exterior doors and windows with what looks like the old orange lead-based paint showing through in places. Might just be old orange paint.Would definitely stay again. Restaurant closed due to upgrading of front entrance but looks like it would have a stunning view over the harbour.

We needed to catch the ferry early the next morning, so this was the perfect location

Room OK but a little run down. Major upgrade construction to the front entrance - not warned in Expedia.

Very kindly the exceptional concierge left the key for us after travel cancellation meant we were very late arriving. Good friendly service and a lovely view over the harbour. NZ is expensive so the cost was not out of line with other properties. I would recommend it. We got the penultimate free room so obviously it is v popular.

The cleaning lady was very rude, she knocked the door at 9:00am, because we are still on the bed, we cannot open the door for her, then she unlocked the door and break in. The front desk lady with short gray hair was also very rude. When we check out, I asked her if the wines and chips in the room is free, she answered very inpatient and tap my phone screen with her pen( I took a picture of the stuffs) and said “it is all on the menu”. Won’t come back next.

Great location easy walking to main streets and wharf

The staff were welcoming but the accommodation was 'tired'- room facilities and decor need an upgrade.
There are no locks on windows, so it is not possible to have a window open for ventilation. Restaurant was closed.

Although the weather did not cooperate, the view from our room was lovely. Nice facility. Good food in restaurant!

Love the location and the view from the room, staff were friendly and the resturant was nice
How ever the master beds were very uncomfortable and felt every spring on the mattress (king suite), bathrooms need a spruce up as they are quite aged.

Absolutely wonderful!!! We arrived in the later side… found our key at the front entrance and a light left on in our unit. Had everything we needed - well designed. Thanks for a great stay - we’ll be back soon!

Cleanliness and staff excellent.
Parking was a bit tight. We had a 4x4 and could barely open up the doors with the cars next to us.
Showerheads in rooms were terrible. They need to upgrade to a slider shower.

the view we had from a lovely room

I enjoyed my stay, perfect for. a great night out, without the hassle of timing, to link up to the ferry

Facility was a nice surprise, restaurant a-top the hotel was probably our best meal in Picton and Carol at check-in was especially helpful.

On arrival receptionist told us about restaurant and need to book etc. On checking into room there was a note "your room will not be serviced during your stay." Paying over NZ$300 per night would have expected room to be serviced. Motel is a bit tired with no air conditioning and a balcony which was not private. Did not enjoy the cigarette smell from room next door. Booked a spa room but didn't expect the shower over the spa bath which was not great. Having visited Picton many times before this will be our first and last booking at this motel.

This hotel was a lovely find. We took the Interislander ferry and it was just a short 5 minute drive. We arrived after normal check in hours but because I had prepaid with Expedia it was no problem to make arrangements to pick up my hotel key. They left it in a convent spot that was easy for me to locate. In the morning we checked out and had a chance to chat with the staff. Incredibly friendly and helpful with suggestions we had asked for. 10/10 would recommend!

We were happy with our one night stay at the Picton Beachcomber Inn and would recommend to all. Checkin was handled in a friendly and efficient manner. Our room was spacious, clean, light and airy. Bed was comfortable and sheets were crispy fresh! We would stay again if we are in this neck of the woods in future.

We have stayed here before and are pleased to stay here again.
We were disappointed the restaurant wasn’t open on the day we were there, but understand.
We had a very nice meal downtown.

Parking lot was tiny and a little hard to navigate but otherwise a lovely stay!
