If you are looking for party, shops and socializing this is not for you.
Her if you are looking for a charming, silent and cozy hotel. I highly recommend this family-run hotel.
Beautifully situated in a Lemon plantage and with a view of the Ocean from the small pool area
The hosts Simons and Antonietta are the perfect hosts
Highly recommended

Warning: “Al Mulino” Might Ruin Your Capri Vacation! Beware of Lies and Overcharging!
Listen closely: give “Al Mulino” a miss if you don’t want to ruin the whole experience!
Pluses: Lush green surroundings; sometimes they’ll offer you a lift to Anacapri center.
Minuses:
Location. It’s in the boonies! Not a cafe or store in sight. Brace yourself for a 15-20 min trek back to the hotel. And the surroundings? Feels more like a run-down village than the luxe island of Capri.
Breakfast. Walked out with my stomach growling. Limp, cold scrambled eggs. Zero veggies, and forget pancakes. A plate of bacon, a plate with bland ricotta, and croissants-that’s all food! And where’s the regular cheese? Not even the basics to make a sandwich! They did have, oddly, dessert cakes. Nice touch, but where’s the actual breakfast?
Rooms? BEWARE! See those photos on their site? Don’t trust your eyes! Their “basic” rooms are a joke. They speak of a “patio” (sneakily no photos) – but its a cramped, dim spot with just a table and two chairs. That’s their “patio.” I was paying almost double for a “Junior Suite with Terrace and Solarium.” Reality check: my room? Given to someone else! I was handed a version with just a terrace – no sun-loungers, no promised solarium. “This IS what you booked” (seriously?) That day standard rooms went TWICE less than they charged me - and denied refund.
When in Capri, steer clear of “Al Mulino”. You deserve better!

Very nice property. Nice location in Anacapri. We walked into town as well as to the blue grotto.

Such a lovely stay! The hosts were so welcoming and kind. Gave us a map with great recommendations, even personally drove us to dinner and gave great recommendations for dessert. The breakfast was also amazing, with the coffee and pastries being the highlight of our stay (if you like mint, I truly recommend the mint pastry with chocolate, what a great way to start my morning!). The location is also a quick walk to the square, but also about a 20 minute walk to the blue grotto, which was great as we really wanted to get in first thing in the morning to avoid any closures or crowds. Overall a very charming, homey stay and I would recommend!

The property is so peaceful and its relaxing to walk around and see the olive trees, fig trees, grape vines, and vegetable garden on the property. Very relaxing and an amazing place to just unwind. The room was clean and regularly cleaned throughout our stay. The breakfast was also delicious and the staff were so friendly and attentive. We had a wonderful stay.

The property itself is very beautiful with the gorgeous garden, pool, fruit trees. The staff is wonderful and they make you feel right at home and they are very helpful in answering questions and recommendations about what to see and do in Capri. I would highly recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay here! They contacted us beforehand for a smooth arrival, and were very accommodating. Simone and her mother were very friendly and helped us in recommending restaurants and how to get around the Island. The rooms were very clean, and the breakfast was delicious. We loved walking around the hotel garden as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to have a relaxing time in Anacapri.

Hotel Mulino provided a home like stay with the friendliest family staff. Rooms were spotless, quiet and had a well stocked refrigerator. The grounds are filled with beautiful flowers and lush greenery. A true gem in a spectacular town! You will not be disappointed!

This was an incredible experience! The hotel was beautiful and comfortable on a beautiful, more secluded part of this island. The pool was beautiful and Simona and her family were the essence of hospitality.

The property itself is beautiful and very well kept. The room was spacious and had a nice garden. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. For example, when we departed we forgot a t-shirt and a brush in the room; Simona contacted me and went to town to bring them to us.

The hotel is family run and very friendly. The hotel garden is beautiful, and the rooms are very comfortable. However, the hotel location is difficult and a walk to the Anacapri centre is 15 minutes long over sometimes very steep pathways. The hotel offers shuttle transport from the port at Capri, but for some reason it was not available to me on my return to the port. They said the shuttle was full, but couldn't they make a second trip?

This place was great, we were treated like family, but it is a bit of a hike into town, which was tough during the blistering heat. The bus stop is just down the road though if you can find a space on those little buses coming back from the Blue grotto

We stayed here July 2017. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The property was beautiful with fruit trees everywhere. The hotel is run by a family who were incredibly welcoming and great hosts. Having italian relatives and staying with them in southern Italy I can easily say this was a very positive and authentic experience being around a family running a business together, and they even had an adorable dog hanging out on the property all day. The room was spacious, very clean, and had great AC. We had our own private deck, and they even offered us free breakfast each morning. The only downside to this hotel is the location - as this was are first time to the island of Capri we didn't know where we would want to stay. The hotels were all very pricey so we chose anacapri, but next visit we would probably want to stay somewhere closer to the tourist areas. One major benefit to this location though was its close proximity to the blue grotto! The family even drove us into the city centre one day. Our experience was so positive we would probably stay there as well as try somewhere in Capri to get to return to this great resort.

This is one of the cheaper hotels on the island. It lays off the beaten path in the middle of a neighborhood with houses and small farms. The hotel is very nice looking and on the small side. The family that owns and operates it is very accommodating and eager to please you. They have a very friendly dog named Vitorio that loves lemons! He’ll give you a lemon to play fetch with, so funny. The rooms are small but comfy and very clean. The free breakfast is satisfying too. There is a bus stop a short walk away that will bring you to Anacapri. Returning from Anacapri you can walk. Its about a 15-20 minute walk that is all down hill so definitely do that to save money on the buses (which is pretty much the only way to get around the island unless you want to take a 40 euro taxi ride one way). All in all, great hotel with exceptional service!

Everything was absolutely perfect! It was as if we were staying at a family members house. They were extremely accommodating and even dropped us off at the marina because we couldn't get a cab so early in the morning. I would definitely stay here again, you will not be disappointed, great place and great family. PS they're garden is absolutely beautiful as well.

We love hiking so it was perfect for us! Away from the crowd, it has its own yard, very big. They have fresh figs! It was the first time we had them, sweet, soo yummy! The owners are quite friendly, relaxed. We were both picked up and sent back to the port free of charge! And the 1st day after we arrived she baked us a pizza after we told her we had not have lunch at 3 pm.Overall it was a quite nice experience living at Al Mulino.

The hotel was available at the very last minute for which we were very appreciative. We planned our trip only the week prior to our arrival. The staff was friendly and accommodating to me, my wife and teenage sons. Outdoor breakfasts we very nice.We were given recommendations of where to eat and what to do. And while the restaurants and activities were good for the most part, they seemed to be a network of providers who were good friends/business partners who all charged rates at the high, upper end for their services to appearing wealthy tourists. The worst case was a $168 round the island boat tour which was very pleasant but the captain could not speak English, so we didnt know the history of what we saw during the 3-hour trip. We expected a tour but were given a ride. We would have appreciated being told about alternative non-private boat tours for half the cost which were readily available and which we would have preferred. We only found out later about the less expensive options. We had a similar experience when we were directed to a scooter provider who was a difficult man who made us feel as though he was doing us a favor by renting us two very expensive scooters, at $224/scooter for about 36 hours. The worst offense was when we asked to do a load of laundry, mostly for our teenage sons. It cost us $130 for boxers, t-shirts, shorts and boys socks, all ironed and folded. Wed have MUCH preferred to be told how expensive it would be. Wed have opted out.

Excellent hospitality - I received welcome message once I made my booking. And they have been constantly communicating with us to confirm the meeting point. On the day of check in, they picked us up from the pier which is a great relief to us (as we all have big and heavy luggage......and its soooo hot at Capri). They also made the extra effort to guide us where to go and took us to see the sunset. Very lovely and kind family. This accommodation is also a great place to stay if you plan to go Blue Grotto. Instead of taking ferry from Capri ferry pier, we just took bus (around 10 mins) to go Blue Grotto which save us much time and money, and more importantly a shorter queue to get into the Grotto. The accommodation is also clean and neat.

The hotel is run by a lovely family who can't help you enough. The room's are immaculate and even come with a mosquito plug!
The hotel itself seems quite far out but it's actually only a 15 minute walk from the centre of Anacapri. We got cabs to and from the hotel on most occasions but this won't be for everyone because cabs on Capri Island are expensive. There is a regular bus service, and the owner of the hotel helpfully points the many bus stops out to you on your way to the hotel, but they're always jam-packed!
Overall, this is a very pleasant hotel, which I would happily recommend.

The hotel is a lovely small family run establishment. A taxi is required to get from the hotel to shopping, restaurants etc. There isn't a pool, but the garden is lovely. It is a great location for a retreat and rest and relaxation. The family are extremely friendly and helpful.

This is a clean beautiful bed and breakfast. Other than that the experience was poor. The staff was not helpful in terms of making dinner reservations, coordinating transportation, and giving directions to town etc. We were told the walk into town was 20 minutes, took 35 and all uphill, we were told there was a food market 5 minutes up the road, took 20 minutes to walk there, all uphill and then when we got back to hotel they told us the market delivers. The staff just doesn't proactively tell guests about actual time to get around, best places to eat (they give touristy restaurants, nothing authentic Italian) and they make promises regarding transportation that they do not keep (Claimed they could take us and another couple, 5 people, to port when we needed to depart. Came time to leave and they were not available to take us).
The Hotel is not in a good location. It is in Anacapri but not close to the town. By car takes 10 minutes but cabs are VERY EXPENSIVE and they do not have a shuttle service. There is a bus 5 minutes walk from hotel but not reliable with timing. If you walk into central Anacapri it takes 35 minutes straight uphill. Very tough walk both there and back. They need to have a shuttle service from the hotel.
The staff overall was just not helpful and not willing to go out of their way to give us tips and tricks about how to best get around and visit Capri. We would NOT stay there again.

Unfortunately it was only one night in Anacapri. This little family hotel is very very nice, surrounded by beautiful garden, every room has a patio in the garden.Everything is spotless clean, very quiet. Antonietta the owner met us in the port and drove to the hotel, was very helpful to give us information what to see in Anacapri and Capri since we did not have too much time, arranged our tickets to get to the Naples and bring our luggage to the port next day.I can not say enough good things about this place.Little off from main attractions but it did not bother us I liked to feel like you live here not just visiting, and the walking on that beautiful quiet streets was very nice, public transportation was very convenient.

A lovely place run by a wonderful family in Anacapri. The room was very clean, immaculate in fact, and the surrounding gardens were stunning. I would highly recommend this hotel as a calm and peaceful retreat to relax and unwind. The breakfast was simple but delicious and hand prepared from local produce each day.
The family who own this hotel really make it special, they are kind, helpful and you feel welcomed to their hotel in all interactions.
The only reason that this isn't a full 5 star rating is that it would really benefit from a small pool to cool off in during the hot summer months and the walk/ bus to Anacapri centre from the hotel would be a struggle for some. A shuttle service or similar would really help make this place perfect.
We had a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

My boyfriend and I had a wonderful experience at Al Mulino. We felt like we joined the family when we arrived. They took great care of us and booked several activities and restaurant reservations for us. The owner is thoroughly delightful and very kind hearted. I can't say enough good things about our experience.

The staff at this small family-run hotel go that extra mile and made my stay delightful. The room was large, bright and airy with its own private patio; the bathroom was great with a powerful shower. I particularly appreciated the free transfer to and from the port and their willingness to drive you into Anacapri (which is up a steep hill) in the morning. It was an easy walk downhill to the blue grotto (a must-see) and they gave me very helpful sightseeing suggestions. They even dropped my luggage at the port free of charge and it was waiting for me when I came to board my ferry (for a porter fee of just 3 euros), which freed me up to spend the day sightseeing without hassle. I really enjoyed my 2 night stay and would recommed the Al Mulino to anyone.
